23 Settling In
Tiffany contemplated the questions of Butch but something else came to mind. "Can I freshen up and get settled here first? I will think over those things soon when I have the time to do so."
She had already experienced enough and traveled a long distance so she did not feel up to making big plans for her future anytime soon.
Butch showed a wide smile and waved for her to follow him inside. "Alright, let's get you settled in."
He started to show her around to get her introduced to her surroundings then started to help arrange for her to gain access to ways so that she could get some new things she would need.
Her daily needs may have been very small but it was still nice to be able to eat now and again for the taste and enjoyment.
She would not starve to death but she could still taste things and had other bodily functions like a lot of humans.
Tiffany would never fall sick with how her body was but it was still a requirement for her to maintain her body and to take care of herself a little better.
It was something that she did not get to do all that much when she was with her adoptive parents.
She wanted to get cleaned up after she had been lying in such a dirt place for an unknown amount of time while she was unconscious.
She had her first hot bath in her life which she spent some time enjoying as she soaked in the tub.
She put on some comfortable pajamas after dying herself and was able to sit around watching the television with some light snacks.
It was the first time in her life that she had been able to enjoy such simple things and get so comfortable.
She drifted off to sleep soon after and did not worry about doing anything else.
When she woke up the next day, Tiffany finally had a clear enough mind to think about some other things.
Butch was opposite her and asked the same question and Tiffany thought for some time before giving a brief answer. "I will try to bring some of my resources to me first then I will start considering what I want to do with them."
Butch nodded in response. "Hm.. how about you stick around here and find some things to do first? Perhaps you might find something you want to do from that?"
Tiffany thought about it before answering. "I guess I can do that but I need to call in a couple of things so that I can support myself and not be a burden."
Butch shook his head and sighed. "You do not understand, do you? I have enough of your things to support you for the rest of your life so long as you do not go crazy with your spending. If you need it then I will assign someone to help you out."
Tiffany did not understand how much she had made over the years and she could never understand since she had never got to experience such things.
Her understanding of the concepts of money and other things was severely lacking since she never had the money to spend on herself or any future goals she had.
Everything she had was in the hands of others and she never got to touch any of it.
She had lived on what very little she was given or earned within the carnival so she never had enough to buy anything luxurious or something that was for herself beyond the essentials.
If she took all of what Butch had kept for her while leaving out everything else she had made over the years then she would be able to support herself perfectly fine so long as she did not go crazy with her spending.
When Butch had mentioned that, something had come to mind all of a sudden.
It was something she thought would be useful but she did not have any access to such things before.
If she tried to do so earlier then she would have a difficult time explaining why such things would keep being sent to her or for strange people to be visiting her.
She was free from the influence of her parents so she could finally pursue it a little. "I need you to find a person for me. I have their address and everything else but it could be quite dangerous if not approached carefully."
The gaze of Butch became serious as he asked. "What kind of person do you want me to find?"
Tiffany looked very certain of her decision and nodded enthusiastically. "I will tell you the details later. First I need to get in touch with some other places that I need to start visiting if I want to be able to increase the amount of eyes and ears I will have spread around."
She had several plans from the information she had collected over the years of spying on others and gathering intel but she knew that she still needed to take a more active approach to increase her overall influence.
Tiffany was previously limited to the various toys and dolls around her that would be sold or won from the carnival for her to expand the amount of information she could collect.
It was quite limited to those who came to the carnival and chose to purchase the various prizes available.
It was a requirement that those who gained them would end up keeping them for her to continue to spy on them.
If she had one thrown out or something else then she would be unable to gather information with them unless she found a way to place it in another location after controlling it herself or getting help from her contacts.
Butch listened and started to understand what she was talking about so he told her. "I will assign Puck to you. I trust her a lot and she will be able to help you a lot with anything that needs to be done."
He was worried about her safety when in such a chaotic area and he trusted in Puck enough to leave his sister to her.
