14 Extra Tasks

The years had passed by as Tiffany had grown up a little and expanded her influence.

There was a single room that had someone sleeping within and there was some slight movement inside that came from a small figure.

The small figure had reached towards a sharp object lying nearby then lay underneath the bed.

A little movement was made from it which caused the person who was sleeping to wake up. "Hm?"

There sat up and alertly looked around the room but had found nothing strange.

They sat up and placed their feet flat on the ground to allow them to get up to go look around further or to complete some other task.

A sudden pain had come from the back of their foot as something was pierced through and drew blood.

They were just about to be fully on their feet but the sudden pain and damaged foot had caused them to lose their support on one side so they fell down. "Gh.. argh."

There was a small amount of noise which came from some movement underneath the bed which made them turn over to check it.

By the time they had hit the floor, come back to their senses and turned over, there was nothing within their view.

There was a lot of confusion about the current circumstances with no real explanation for what had just happened so it was much easier to think that they were still asleep and it was just some strange dream.

Their focus was turned back to their injured foot and moving from their current position. 'Gh.. what is happening?'

They had woken up a lot more from the sudden pain and adrenaline that flooded their body.

A shadow was cast over their body which blocked the light that came through the window.

The shadow was the shape of a humanoid figure which loomed over him for a single moment before it had moved.

It was holding something in its hand which then came down onto his body that was laying on the floor by the bed.

The figure had dropped down from the bed and stuck something sharp into the side of their neck. "Ah.. aah. guh.. ahh.."

The pain had magnified along with his fear as he flailed his body around and knocked the figure off his body but it was already much too late.

The damage had already been done and he was losing blood very quickly.

Their gaze turned towards the figure that was laid on the ground further away which was pulling itself back up.

The poor lighting had revealed the figure enough for them to see it and they were left feeling both confusion and fear.

It was one of the toy dolls that had been sent to their home recently which could have been meant for another person or address.

The parcel did not have any details or information about who it was supposed to be sent to or who it was from but it had been left at their home so it had been taken in and unpacked by them.

It had been left to the side while they had been busy thinking about what to do with it but they had never expected that it had been the result of their death.

The toy doll had silently watched the dying person's struggles before they no longer moved and took their last breath. 'Target removed. Time to pass on that it is done.'

Tiffany had to get involved with all kinds of operations in the underworld to deal with her siblings enemies or to solve other issues since there were many that had been too difficult for her siblings to handle with or without help.

There would even be times where there would be requests being made to eliminate some people which would be from high paying clients.

There were many kinds of ongoing power struggles in the world and there were many reasons for someone to want someone else removed from their path like there being an ongoing inheritance dispute.

Most sought out professional killers or made use of criminal groups that were willing to do such things and not all of her siblings had been so lucky to be purchased by a good family or group.

Her dolls could be used to monitor others and gather information but they could be used for other tasks too if the timing and usage was correct enough to not fail.

Most people always had times when they had to rest and were less aware of their surroundings unless they had a Quirk that could help them in such situations so most were quite vulnerable to being caught off guard by a doll that was within their home that could move around and be used to assassinate them.

The dolls were not that strong, durable or fast but they would go unnoticed until they finally moved to complete their task.

The doll moved through the room after confirming the kill and then moved towards a door where a chair was slowly pushed against it.

The doll climbed up and reached towards the lock which had unlocked the door and allowed others to enter.

The people that had entered picked up the doll that lay on the ground and then searched for the remains of the box before moving and collecting some things to remove any ties to Tiffany or themselves while planting some evidence that could implicate others or make it seem like a robbery went wrong.

They made sure to check for any cameras or recordings that had been made before or during that time then carefully checked their surroundings as they exited the building and got away from the crime scene.
