22 Chapter 21

Hearing Han Haocheng not only express his desire to go after the motorcycle guy but also watching him laughing like a maniac, instantly caused the viewers to sweat nervously.

Countless comments flooded the screen:

"Streamer, I advise you to take it easy. This gang is obviously not easy to mess with."

"Seriously, if the host dares to confront them head-on, no matter what the outcome is, just for having this courage, I'll send a rocket."

"Are you turning crazy, anchor? These youngsters are clearly much more dangerous than that burly guy you encountered early on."

"Indeed, even if you're not afraid of those who are aggressive, it's reckless to be unafraid of those who might potentially kill you. These young people are clearly in their rebellious phase, they'll certainly not care about the severity of their attacks."

"I advise you not to bite off more than you can chew, host. You should consider switching to another target. Undoubtedly, this pair should be skipped."

"Broadcaster, you're kidding, right? You're teasing us on purpose, aren't you?"

"..."

Of course Han Haocheng was not joking.

After all, he had searched for a long time before he finally found a couple that met the system's requirements. How could he just let them go?

As a man, naturally, he had to stand tall.

Han Haocheng still understood the principle, 'to catch tiger cubs, one must enter the tiger's den.' Besides, these youngsters were no tigers—what was there to fear?

As the system had already locked onto this couple, so Han Haocheng could only comfort himself while he thought about the famous aphorism.

'I'm amazed.. just because the system locked on to this couple, I can't change them even if I want to?'

Han Haocheng was speechless for a while, mentally trying to change to another pair, but he couldn't.

As we all know, once the system selects the target, Han Hao couldn't replace them. Exactly like when he bought condoms earlier and the system locked onto the beautiful female salesgirl, or when he went door-to-door selling coffins and locked onto the macho man.  (E.N: I only knew now that the target can't be changed. I'm not sure if he mentioned it earlier, so this might be mistranslated and in reality the sentence begins with: *Now he knows, he couldn't replace the locked target.*)

"What did you yell just now?"

"Were you staring at me, What were you looking at?"

The tattooed young man with the bare upper body turned around his motorbike and stopped by Han Haocheng's side. He then tilted his head and asked, all while chewing gum non-stop.

"..."

Han Haocheng suddenly understood why the system had directly locked onto this couple.

As it turns out, when he noticed the couple, they were equally aware of his presence.

Hence, when the tattooed guy turned his bike around, the task progress bar also rose a little at this time.

Right now, he could only bite the bullet and continue to complete the task.

"It's nothing, I'm just looking around.. don't tell me it's not allowed?"

Han Haocheng smiled and responded instantly.

"Pfft! Alright!"

Amused, the tattooed motorcycle youth jumped off his bike and walked slowly towards Han Haocheng.

"Vroom, Vroom!"

The other motorbikes following behind also came to a stop near their leader.

In a flash, seven or eight young men had surrounded Han Haocheng.

Seeing this scene, people in the live broadcast room couldn't sit still anymore, and kept posting comments:

"F*ck! Apologies for my limited vocabulary, but in this situation, 'F*ck,' is all I can say."

"Run quickly, streamer! Just a glance, and it's evident that getting involved with these delinquents isn't worthwhile!

"Hiss, oh my God! The anchor is in big trouble now!"

"These middle school and high school students in their rebellious phase are invincible. Why is the broadcaster still standing there? Run for your life, bro!"

"It seems like there is no way to escape from this situation. They have seven or eight motorcycles, and these are all modified bikes. No matter how skilled the streamer is, he can't outrun motorcycles!"

"I guess the host won't dare to provoke them further. He must be trying to find a way to get out of this."

"It's already come to this, and you are still thinking of doing such a troublesome task when saving your life should be the top priority!"

"..."

The audience expressed their concerns about Han Haocheng's safety.

While they spoke, the shirtless tattooed motorbike guy walked up to Han Haocheng.

Now, they stood about a meter apart and tension was palpable in the air.

The tattooed young man stared at Han Haocheng intensely.

Han Haocheng did not shy away, and stared back at the tattooed young man with determination.

After several seconds of mutual staring, seeing that Han Haocheng showed no signs of fear, the tattooed guy smiled and said:

"Not bad, you've got guts."

"Aren't you afraid?"

Han Haocheng's natural character is such that he doesn't likes to cause trouble.

Nevertheless, when confronted with a genuinely troublesome situation, Han Haocheng's inner toughness became evident. He was never afraid to meet it head-on.

Han Haocheng had also been young once and understood the unruly nature of these youths.

In case they really wanted to fight, Han Haocheng was of course not sure that he could fight against seven or eight people, but after appraising his own fighting strength, Han Haocheng figured that if he could quickly pick up half a brick in the corner, he would still have a chance to fight with them, and then he could make an abrupt escape.

If that doesn't work, he could simply run to the green belt not far ahead. Their motorcycle wouldn't be able to pass, giving him the chance to get rid of these people.

Of course, all these were worst-case scenarios. Han Haocheng hoped to peacefully complete the mission.

With a rough plan in mind, Han Haocheng looked straight into the eyes of the other party, calmly smiled and responded:

"What's there to be afraid of?"

"In broad daylight, I just thought you guys on your bikes looked cool, so I gave you a few more glances. It's not a big crime, is it?"

"How about this, come let treat you brothers to a smoke."

With that said, Han Haocheng took out a pack of Huazi and started distributing them skilfully.

"Pfft! Not bad, man, you smoke Huazi?"

The tattooed young man took the cigarette, lit it directly, and asked with a smile.

"Well only sometimes, normally I wouldn't be willing to smoke something this good. I just get curious occasionally and buy a few packs to try them out."

Han Haocheng told the truth and quickly gave a cigarette to each person present.

"Don't I get one too? Are you looking down on girls?"

At this time, the girl who was still sitting on the motorcycle of the tattooed youth suddenly interjected.

"You smoke too?" Han Haocheng asked with a smile.

"I don't usually, but when I saw your Huazi, I suddenly had a craving. But, why are you questioning me, acting so stingy, do you not want to give me one?"

The girl spoke coquettishly but she had a sweet voice. She appeared to have just reached adulthood. Her figure was so explosive, when people looked at her, they couldn't help but be mesmerised.

"I wanted to give it to you, but I was afraid your boyfriend wouldn't allow me."

Han Haocheng didn't immediately give her a cigarette and instead smiled while addressing the tattooed guy.

"Ha, Brother, what are you talking about? Am I that stingy?"

When the tattooed young man heard this, he felt respected in his heart, smiled and nonchalantly waved his hand.

Han Haocheng did not stand on ceremony and straight away threw a cigarette toward the girl. She reached out, easily caught it, and placed it between her lips. Then, she pulled out a lighter from her pocket, skilfully ignited it, and began blowing smoke rings.

Han Haocheng also lit one for himself, and the group now appeared like old friends, casually smoking together.

When people in the live broadcast room watched this scene, they began commenting:

"Impressive, host! You look so experienced at this!"

"Indeed, that familiarity with the cigarettes and the relaxed expression. The streamer seems to have has seen through the ways of the world!"

"If it were me, I definitely wouldn't dare to chat so casually. The anchor was so natural and leisurely, with a few simple moves he calmed down the tense atmosphere before I realised it!"

"The broadcaster looks like he has been around such people for a long time. It was only offering a few cigarettes, but the action gave these people enough face. It directly diffused the tension in the air and now these guys won't want to trouble him for no reason."

"The most important thing is that the more composed the host appears, the harder it is for people to read him, and the less likely the other side is to act rashly!"

"Is this the case of being courteous first before duking it out in the ring? I'm so looking forward to the next scene where the streamer flirts with this guy's girlfriend, haha!"

["How polite they are now, as rude will they be in a moment! I've already started laughing!"]

["The more polite he is now, the more provocative will he be in a moment! I'm laughing so much already!"]

(E.N: This last dialogue and the chapter title is either one of the two. You guys can pick the one you feel comfortable with. I am unable to decide and I am very tired, had to redo more than half the chapter because i forgot to save it and accidentally closed the chrome tab.)
