Beautiful Red Head

Lillian was a kind and caring woman. She spent her time helping the homeless and caring for the elderly.

Her bright green eyes and flaming red hair made her look like a beautiful fairy. She was four foot four and a very petite woman.

Many men during her college years asked her out. She was kind and would give them a chance but she never felt right dating anyone steady.

She worked for a nonprofit group called Caring Hands and today she was at the shelter making lunch for the homeless.

"Red, looking pretty today for us hobos."

"Mr. Jenkins you old flirt how are you doing?"

"Fine little lady. Is that ham?"

"Yes it is, would you like two sandwiches?"

"Yes, Thank you dear."

Lillian talked with all her people like they were old friend. They were all very special to her. As the afternoon came to a close her boss called her over.

"Lillian could I see you for a moment?" Carrie Nelson the founder of Caring Hands called to her through the office door.

Carrie was a woman in her early fifties and had started her nonprofit a few years ago when her husband passed away.

"Whats up boss." Lillian bounces in to the office.

"Lillian our building has been sold to the Fairlynn Corporation. I need you to go meet with the CEO and hopefully convince him to keep our lease the same."

"Sure Carrie. Who will I be meeting."

"Name is Wolf. Please do your best because we need this new lease to continue our work." She hands Lillian a folder with all the info on the organization. "Here is all the info to give him. Your Appointment is tommarow at one pm. At the Fairlynn building down town. You've got this?"

"Yes, I've got this. Who got you the ten thousand dollar donation last spring. This will be a piece of cake. Can you watch Toby then?"

"Yes just drop him off."

Lillian put on her green pencil skirt with a light mint blouse with red high heels. She pulled her red hair up in a bun and wore her Red hooded dress coat.

She put on a light coat of makeup because she is a beauty that did not need much enhancement.

She took a cab downtown and arrived fifteen minutes early.

"I'm Miss Hood from the Caring Hands, I have an appointment with Mr. Wolf at One." She told the receptionist.

The receptionist gave her a glance and looked at her screen. "I don't have you on the schedule."

"My boss, Carrie Nelson, made the appointment. It is about our lease."

"I don't care what it is about. If you don't have an appointment then you are not seeing the Boss."

Lillian then took out her phone to call Carrie.

"Hey, your at the Fairlynn right?" Carrie asked as soon as she picked up the phone.

"Yah, but they say we don't have an appointment."

"Yes we do, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Wolf's Personal Assistant made the appointment with me."

"I'll ask for him then but if I can't get in we may need to reset this thing up."

"Do your best. I don't want to find another place to move to."

Lillian went back to the receptionist. "Mr. Johnson is the one who called my boss to set this appointment can you check with him?"

"That is not my job. My job is to direct people who have appointments to the right place. If he set the appointment then you would be on this computer. Mr. Johnson does not make mistakes."

"Can I have his number to call him?"

"We do not give out personal numbers to outsiders. If he called you, then you must already have it."

Lillian was getting tired so she called Carrie one more time to get a phone number.

A hour earlier...

"What do I have this afternoon?"

"You have a one o'clock with a nonprofit about a lease on the second street property we just got, and a two o'clock with the board of Kindly Corporation, it's about the take over."

"You meet with the nonprofit, call Susan and set a one thirty lunch date at La'Blue."

"Yes sir. Anything else."

"No, that will be all."

At One O'clock, Jake Wolf was walking out of the Elevator when he seen a beautiful redhead arguing with the receptionist.

If he called you then you must already have it."

He watched as she stepped away to make a call. She looked familiar but he could not place her. This was his one O'clock then he was keeping it. He got on his phone. "Zane call Susan back, I decided to keep my One O'clock and She is down stairs having a hard time, so take care of it. Take her to my office."

"Yes, Sir." Zane had called and left a message that the meeting had been changed to one thirty and it would be with him instead. There must have been a mix up, but he would do as his boss wanted.

"Is there a woman there from Caring Hands?" Zane asked the receptionist.

"Yes Mr. Johnson. She says she has an appointment but it's not on the computer."

"It was moved to one thirty but please send her up to Mr. Wolf's office now."

"Yes Sir"

"Miss" The receptionist said.

"Yes?"

"Your appointment was at one thirty but the boss will see you now. Take the grey elevator to the top. That is Mr. Wolf's office."

"Thank you"

Lillian straighten her skirt and walked over to the grey elevators. When she got in there was only one button. She pushed it and the doors closed. She road up to the fifty fourth floor and the doors opened up to a huge office.

She stepped off. "Hello... Mr. Wolf..."

She walked in and saw no one. The walls were all windows and she could look out and see the city below.

"Breathtaking isn't it?"

She was startled and jumped at the deep sound of a man's voice. She knew that voice from some where.

She turned around to look into the deep dark cold eyes of a man she never thought she would ever see again. Jake, her knight from high school. Here in the flesh. She thought back wasn't his name Smith back then.

"Mr. Wolf?"

"Yes and you are?"

"Lillian Hood from Caring Hands." She held her hand out to shake.

Jake took her hand and kissed the back of it. She tried to pull away but he held firm.

Seeing her in her red coat he said, "Little Red Riding Hood." he snickered before he let her hand go.
