“And you stayed?” I asked, pacing around the room, not being able to control my anger anymore.
“Yes. I did.” She replies, feeling agitated.
“Why?! You were living in hell with a psycho!”
“I loved him.” She answers in defence and I facepalm myself, “and I believed there was still a good part in him.”
“No.” I shake my head, my anger getting the better of me. “That wasn’t love. That was stupidity.”
