34 Chapter 34. Lion life

One male lion arrived at where the fight took place and he brought three young but adult females that seemed slightly worried.

The male lion nodded at Asafa in worry and hurried back after leaving the lionesses there.

"My king, we are under you, ah I mean, we will follow you from now on." One of the female lions said.

She has pale, almost white, rather, vanilla white fur and yellow eyes. Asafa found her pretty, but she seemed shy.

The others were yellow and had green eyes.

"From now on, you belong to the pride lands." Asafa said as he turned around and started walking back, the three followed after him and then the other lionesses followed.

The truth was, he found it awkward so he used less words.

But there was one thing that struck Asafa, he found a slight similarity between the white lioness and the leader of the lions that attack.

"Is your father the leader that attacked us?" Asafa asked her as he walked.

*Gulp*

"Y-yes, my father's name is Tukufu." She said as she lowered her head in worry. She was worried that he might kill her for the actions of her father.

"I see, well... You don't have to worry, I take good care of those that I have promised to protect." Asafa said, trying to relieve her from her worries.

He couldn't understand why the lion leader had sent him his daughter.

In the end, when they arrived at pride rocks, they were welcomed by all the lionesses that were worried for the outcome.

Ayana was the first one that rushed in to the others, so she could tell what happened. And the three new lions were about to walk inside thenpride rock den, but Asafa stopped the daughter of the leader that attacked.

"The others can go in, I need to speak with her." Asafa said as he saw how Sarabi welcomed the new lionesses.

The other walked into their cave while the white lion held her head down.

"What's your name?" Asafa asked.

"Zahara." She whispered. If it wasn't for Asafa's supreme hearing he wouldn't catch that.

"Why did your father send you here? Is he plotting something?" He asked.

She jumped up at that.

"N-no! I heard from the lions what had happened. To make sure that the rest survived he offered the only females that hadn't been pregnant yet, but there was only three, me included..." She explained, worried that another war between territories might start.

"So that's how it is... You don't have to worry about anything. This is your home from now on Zahara." Asafa said, trying to sound welcoming.

"YOU RASCAL! You brought more women home? Come here and let me beat you up!" Suddenly the voice of a panther cried out. Asafa's face dropped.

"Tsk, she's pretty as well. Shame on you Asafa!" Imani said as she came up to Zahara and inspected her.

Zahara was totally confused, what was a black panther doing here? And being so disrespectful to the mighty king of pride lands?

"Imani not now..." Asafa said in a tone that asked her to go away.

"When then? When she's already pregnant with 5 cubs? You shamelessly horny little thing, let me teach you some manners!" Imani got even angrier, ready to fight.

Zahara hid her face beneath her paws when she heard those shameful words.

"Ahhh wait! Sorry Asafa, she got angry when you disappeared again, hold her Timon!" Pumba cried out as he hurried to Imani and held her back.

*Sigh*

"Trouble follows wherever you go." Asafa whispered to himself.

"Zahara, let's go inside and meet everyone." Asafa said as he walked inside the cave.

Zahara simply nodded while still hiding her face bashfully.

"Don't you dare escape from me! I'm not done with you until I teach you to not conquer women like that!" Imani shouted while Pumba, Timon and Hamu held her back.

Life continued on for Asafa as seasons changed, he worked hard to make sure his land become fruitful again, and stories of his strength and bravery reached far and wide.

Amongst his pride, all the females, even the older ones looked at him like a peace of meat, which worried Asafa dearly. As for the three women that had recently joined, they were warmly welcomed and it didn't take long for them to settle in.

Zazu always gave a knowing smirk to Asada whenever the ladies kept surrounding him like flies, which started to annoy Asafa and life continued as usual.

Far, far away, a yellow lion with a light brown mane and a scar above his left eye, was looking at the other lions in front of him.

He looked back at his tail, or at least what was left of it as he had lost most of it.

"My king... Have you remembered your past?" Another lion asked.

"My name is..." The lion with a scar and without a tail said while frowning, deep in thought.

"My name is Simba!" He said as he finally remembered his name. His memories had started coming back to him slowly and now he finally remembered.

Simba stood up and looked far into the horizon at a volcanic mountain, finally remembering what had happened that day.

"My king?" Another lion asked.

Simba had walked a lonely path without his memories, until he met other outcast lions. They fought and Simba won over them until they were enough lions to call it a pride.

In his new pride, there were 4 young males and 2 older ones. In addition to that there were 3 older female ones and three cubs.

All of them had found shelter under Simba's protection as all of them were outcasts, unwanted. They barely escaped death in their prides before escaping and finally finding eachother.

There were many fights about the leadership position, but Simba but won them all. And they were happy with that since he was a fair and strong leader.

Now that his memories had returned, his sight couldn't leave the direction which he believed his family was at, Timon, pumba, Hamu, Imani and Asafa....

"My king?" Another lion asked as he saw tears fall down Simba's eyes.

"..." Simba kept silent, while thinking deeply about what he should do.

His sight turned to his new pride, those he was protecting, looking at all of them he felt like he was stuck.

He wanted to return back to his brother and family, and life of no responsibilities.... But he couldn't. He had become the one thing he tried escaping.

"I need some alone time." Simba said as he turned around and left to think.

The lions looked at eachother not understanding why their leader had become like this.

"Maybe his memories revealed a painful past?" A lion asked.

Simba arrived at a small three and he jumped atop of it and laid down.

His mind is telling him that he is no longer the Simba that he used to be with his family and brother, but now he was a leader and king. He has responsibilities right now that he had to fulfil.

But his heart is telling him that he wants to return to the Forrest... To Hakuna Matata.

Simba had fallen into deep waters and felt stuck between a rock and a hard place.

So this is my side piece fanfic, my main one I Naruto: clan of Shinobi. This fanfic won't be long, at most 50 chapters, then I'll continue with my main fanfic. But here the thing, I wanted to write another one piece fanfic so I started doing that. Here a teaser picture of what's tomcome in the following months:

"Fist of haki" already has 21 chapters in stock and "I am Whitebeard" has 4 chapters in stock. They are different as fist of Haki is more slice of life/comedy, and about building his crew and fame.

While "I am Whitebeard." Is more actiond/rama/comedy, and he already has his fame and crew.

In the end, they are still similar as I have my own writing style. And aim really excited about these two. But I won't start releasing them until I'm done with the Naruto fanfic! 😁😁😁
