The cold air had everyone surprised. Warm coats, beanies and scarfs... They were back from their summer slumber. Fallen leaves, strong gusts of wind and droopy weather. Everyone did hide from it except for Kayla. Now more than ever she needed that morning jog. But her morning jog didn't seem to help. Not today. She was just so confused the last time. Some things you just can't go back to. Some things are best left alone. But still... she wanted to go back. Back to the times when she could talk with her mother. She just wished... that she couldn't feel it anymore. That she could turn it off. Only for a while. That would be enough. Kol looks at her while he peacefully jogs next to her. "Darling, put away those tears. I can't stand to see it on your pretty face." He cared for her. He wanted to let her know that he was there with her. That she wasn't alone. He wanted to comfort her. But why? He was never like this before. He must accept it. The girl did something with him. Some things you can't go back to because you let them slip away, she thinks and runs inside the house again. As usual, she ignores Jenna and walks to the bathroom. "Oh," she says, and looks at Vickie. "I'm... I'm sorry"' she mumbles. "'No I'm sorry, I'm almost done." Kayla nods and leaves the bathroom. Kol sighs. "Too many women in one house... Too many women for not having any fun with them" growls Kol. Kayla nods and waits patiently in her room until Vickie is done.

Sighing, Kayla walks down to find Elena and Jenna gossiping about Jeremy and Vickie. Elena looks at Kayla who, as usual, is listening to music. She grabs a bowl of cereal and walks to the couch. Elena takes a deep sigh and sits down next to Kayla. "'Watch it" growls Kol. "You okay?" "Yeah." "You sure?" "Yeah, I just don't want to talk about it." Elena nods. "Well, I want you to know that you can." "I just want to go to school and have a normal boring life" sighs Kayla. Elena takes a deeper sigh. "What's the fun about that" jokes Kol. "Me too" Elena says. "Are you coming to school today?" Kayla shakes her head. "Are we skipping now" says Kol with an amused smile. Elena nods. "I understand" she says and leaves. She stops for a moment. ""Don't forget the car wash today" says Elena. Kayla takes another deep sigh as she finishes her breakfast. "Eh no thanks." "You have no choice, it's for charity." "Oh bloody hell, let her be will you" groans Kol. "But then again, a sexy car wash.. I kinda like it." Normal life... peaceful normal life, that's all that she wants. But maybe that wasn't an option for her anymore. Sometimes it just feels like she is cursed. Cursed for a boring life.

Groaning, Kol looks at all the girls dancing in front of his eyes, washing cars. It is just cruel, all these beautiful girls, and no way to have fun with them. His eyes dangled back at Kayla. Her beautiful red bikini almost looks painted on her skin. Her hair is braided in a big fishtail. Kol can't help himself. He had no idea Ghosts could have a boner. What in heaven's earth is going on with him? Kayla looks up. A crow lands on the car she washes. She scaredly looks up at the bird. A soft ringing sounded in her ears. She pulls her vest over her bikini and walks away. "So we are skipping" jokes Kol. "I fancy you more and more."

Suddenly Kayla looked up. She hears a soft ringing in her ears. As if she is in a trance, she walks outside. "Love" asks Kol. She walks by the graveyard, staring in front of her. "Kayla, where are we going"' aks Kol. "This isn't the way home is it now?"

"Oh, bloody hell" groans Kol when he sees her entering the Salvatore boarding house. "Kayla? Come one, some ghost will be able to help me!" "Kayla, help me. Kayla. Help me" whispered Damon, his voice in her ears. Kayla couldn't help herself. She follows the voice to the cellar. "Damon? Damon? Oh, my god! What is this? How did I know that you were here?" " Because I wanted you to. Very, very badly. Let me out of here. Please." "But you... what's going on? How on earth.. you bit me!" "You liked it. Remember?" Kayla swallows. She bites her lip. "But..." "You remember what I want you to remember. And now that the vervain has passed out of your system, you won't remember what you're about to do." "But I do Mate" growls Kol and tries to hold Kayla from entering the door. " "What am I about to do?" "Nothing" shouts Kol. "You're gonna open the door." Kayla nods and spelled as she is, she pulls on the lock. "No" shouts a strong manly voice. "No! No! Get out of here. Run! Run!" "Yes go" roars Kol happy that she for once listens.

Sobbing, Kayla runs up to her bedroom. "You okay," asks Jeremy and walks up to her room. Kayla sniffs. "I'm miserable." "Well, you should go get something to eat." Kayla sighs. "I'm so not in the mood." Jeremy scoffs. He came to sit by her side. He kisses her forehead. "Don't worry Kayla, I'll look after you." And, as promised, he stays by her side until she falls asleep.
