INTO THE NEW WORLD

Another fire was shot by the man, but the ice-maker quickly formed a wall in front of him to block the fire.

Not saying a word, he picked Kris up from the ground and started running towards the back door.

Kris was still confused and frightened by everything that just happened to realize that she was being carried, until they got far enough.

"H-hey ! I can run !"

"You sure ? You still have that injury from yesterday."

"Don't worry. It's just a scratch."

He looked hesitant for a moment before he put her down and made sure she was able to run before he pulled her together with him.

Her injury stings a little whenever it meets the ground, but she could bear it.

"Where do you wanna run ?!" Kris turned around to see the fire-maker running on the building, his face looked almost hysterical as he catching up to them.

Her eyes widened when he was sending another fireball towards them, but the silver-haired quickly came in front of her and parried the fireball with his ice, making them exploded in the middle of the air into some kind of firework.

The two of them exchanged glares before the ice-maker started to sent sharp icicles towards the fire-maker, which the other skillfully dodges them.

"Kris, run to the store ! We will meet there !" He said before giving an undivided attention to the threat, standing in the middle of the road parallel to him with a smug smile.

She nodded and began to run away.

The silver-haired looked at the man, almost with hatred, his hand started to glow with ice as he felt his blood pulsing through his veins.

He will never forgive anyone that dare to harm Kris.

He clenched his teeth, and began to charge towards his threat, while the latter did the same.

Their hands glows with their own elements and as they were clashing, blocking each other arms, the magics were sent to their back.

Behind the fire-maker, the ice formed spikes from the ground to the building, and behind the ice-maker, a fire lining up, ignited a car into an explosion.

They glared into each other, and one of them started to crack a smirk.

"I miss sparring with you, Ryu."

"Spar ? I intended to kill you when you decide to hurt her !" Ryu yelled in anger and sent a kick to the man which had sent him a few steps to the back.

He shot ice towards him and restricted his movement by making the ice covered his arm, but in a blink of an eye, the ice melts with the sinister smile never left his lips.

However, Ryu kept taking the offensive and sent punches after punches, kicks after kicks.

He was controlled by anger.

At the end, when the man decided it was getting boring, he caught Ryu's punch with his palm.

Ryu was alarmed, and his eyes caught a knowing stare from the man, before he felt his knuckles burning.

He screamed in pain, and it feeds to the man's amusement to see how he was able to make Ryu, his partner that used to be so strong to even exceed him, became weaker, to the point of kneeling down in front of him.

"You see now.., why I want to kill my sister.. ?" Even with his knuckles burning, he still dare to glare at the man when he mentioned Kris.

By then, he felt something else burning; his heart.

He clenched his other hand, forming a blade made out of ice and jabbed it straight into the man's abdomen, making him groan in pain, and also making him let go of Ryu.

Ryu used his opportunity to delay the man.

Both of his hands glowing with ice and he strikes it to the ground, creating spike of ice that trapped and restricted the man from moving, they went over his legs, arms, and shoulders, and even giving only a little access for him to move his head.

The man began to feel angry.

He lowered his guard down for a moment, and Ryu took the time to strike him.

"Listen, brother." His eyes fell into Ryu's menacing glares.

"The one that will take you down is not me."

"It will be Kris."

The man's lips trembling with anger at that name.

The thought of being beaten by his little sister will forever feed to his hatred towards her.

He watched as Ryu running away from him.

Kris panted harshly, her heart felt constricted to the amount of running she made.

That would be the longest run she made than her entire life combined.

She was in an alleyway by Seri convenience store, leaning to the wall as she felt the stinging to her leg getting worse.

She might have stretched the injury larger due to the run.

However, she was still thinking of the fire-maker man that could have catch up to her if she had her guard down.

Her eyes searched for an object to become a weapon and she saw a long rod, which she quickly took it and held it close to her chest, eyes were watching towards the end of the alleyway.

A few moments later, she heard a harsh footsteps coming, and she clenched the rod.

Closing her eyes, she screamed battle cry as she started to swing towards a figure appeared in front of her, but it was stopped mid-air.

"Ah!- Kris !" he exclaimed in pain and Kris opened her eyes, tears tearing up a little.

Ryu was able to caught it before it landing to him, and her heart felt so glad to see him, and not the other guy.

"What happened to the other guy ?! Is he your enemy ?!"

Kris asked abruptly while watching Ryu walking passed her, his hand was fishing to his pocket.

She continued to watch him holding something like stone, or emerald since it was shining, and he crouched down to pick another stone on the ground, a normal stone.

He began to graze it together in instant, a flicker created as they met with the sound of 'click' too loud for a simple flick of stones.

Kris' eyes followed a smoke coming from it as they float in front of her and Ryu, and her eyes widened as it took form of a portal, and another unknown place at the other side.

Her eyes moved to Ryu who turned to look at her, a smile formed on his lips as he offered his hand at her.

"Will you come with me ?"
