Gu Yaxi noticed that Gu Nanyu was standing together with Ling Xiuqi and whispering to each other after entering the mansion with Gu Ming'an.

Fu Beichen was nowhere to be seen.

She instantly heaved a sigh of relief.

Ling Xiuqi might have known Fu Beichen personally so Gu Nanyu was trying to benefit from that.

Or else, Gu Nanyu could never have any connection with the Fu family.

Gu Ming'an first brought Gu Yaxi to congratulate Old Master Ling and greet the elder members of the Ling family. Then, he took her to meet Ling Xiuqi.

Gu Ming'an was looking at Ling Xiuqi with a friendly smile on his face as they walked to him.

"Xiuqi, I'm catching up with my old pals over there. Please do take care of Yaxi for me."

Ling Xiuqi looked very reliable despite the fact that he was only 18 years old.

He was not only gentle and elegant but also humble and polite, giving off a comfortable impression like a spring breeze in March.

He replied to Gu Ming'an smilingly, "No worries, Uncle, will do."

After Gu Ming'an left, a sweet smile flashed through Gu Yaxi's face. The eyes laid on Ling Xiuqi were gentle as if water was flowing in them.

"Brother Xiuqi, this is my first time here in your mansion. Can you walk me around your house?"

Gu Nanyu almost puked when she heard Gu Yaxi's coquettish tone and her dramatic expression.

"Sorry, I will ask Ling Wu to take you around. I need to talk to some friends."

Gu Yaxi threw a glance at Gu Nanyu who was lying on the couch. She was lounging there with her arms placed behind the couch while radiating an apathetic yet elegant aura. Her presence was hard to ignore.

They were occupied with the classic truth or dare and poker cards. Gu Nanyu sat at the side and watched them but did not participate.

Ling Xiuqi's sister, Ling Wu was the pampered little princess in the Ling family. She approached them and requested to join the game.

Ling Wu ran over with a smile. However, when she was approaching the desk, she tripped over an extended leg as she could stabilize herself.

Enraged, Gu Yaxi stood up and glared at Gu Nanyu with a sense of outrage as if the presence of Gu Nanyu was an embarrassment.

"Cousin, how could you? You should not be jealous of how well Brother Xiuqi treats his own sister even though you like him! How could you simply stretch out your leg to trip her like that? Look at how severe the wound is, she will definitely have a scar from that!"

Gu Nanyu's face turned dark, "What nonsense are you saying?"
