Chapter 11

"KRISTOFFER!"

Elliana's screams rung in my ear. Without hesitation, she flung herself towards where he landed.

"Elli!" I yelled and sprinted after her.

"Terrence, wait!" Leon failed to stop me from following her.

We both froze at the scene before us. Kristoffer's body was suspended in the air, he was held by the throat by something I could hardly explain. I couldn't believe my eyes for what I was seeing.

The dark creature had a figure of a man, like someone's silhouette though at the root of it, where supposedly the feet should have been, was a puddle of black matter. His claws were around my best friend's neck, blood began to drip on the floor.

"Put him down!" Elliana demanded. "PUT HIM DOWN!"

The creature slowly turned its eyes on us. Swinging its head left and right as if it was regarding our existence. A malicious wide smile formed on its lips matching its demonic stares.
