Aska opened his eyes, and there were purple sparks around his fingertips.

Mom didn't notice it, but dad on the other hand saw it clearly. I could tell from the shocked look on his face. Even though dad was shocked he didn't say anything.

"Are you ok, Aska? Do you want to go back to the hotel? Are you feeling any pain? We can go to get get the hospital if you want?" -mom was worried

"Don't worry mom, I'm not sick I was just meditating" -Aska

"Meditating? Why?" -mom

"I thought that I might learn something new" -Aska said with a cheeky smile

Mom put her hand on my forehead

"You don't have a fever or anything, are you sure you're ok? you've been playing in the sun for so long. Are you sure the heat didn't fry your brain or something?" -mom

"I promise, I'm fine. Actually I'm more than fine. I feel great!" -Aska

As I was busy convincing mom that I'm ok, dad was standing to the side staring at me.

Even without observation haki, I could feel his gaze.

'Did I do something bad? Why is he staring at me like that?' Aska thought, but he pretended he didn't notice his father's gaze.

After some more time, mom was finally convinced. We continued going through the courses, I even got to try a race type course. I got second place, first place was a black haired girl who had a speed quirk.

One thing I noticed during our race, the girl was holding back a lot.

I wanted to confirm my suspicions, so I asked for a rematch. She thought I'm some arrogant kid who can't take a loss, but hey, she accepted. When the race was about to start, I focused my observation haki on her. I realize that what I'm doing could label me as a perv, that is if people knew, but how would they know?

I flared up my lightning energy covering my body in lightning cloak and got ready for the race.

When the signal sounded both of us took off.

'I knew it! She can't go faster or she won't be able to process information!' Aska was able to understand her weakness.

'My top speed currently is the maximum one can go with normal perception.

The reason pilots can fly fighting jets at the speed of sound is because the distance is big, which allows them time to process information. But when I'm running on my feet, it's a different story. If I want to up my level in speed, then I need to up my level in information processing'

Aska started making plans about his future training.

After the second round which she won as well, I just walked back to my parents. I had this focused look on my face. But mom thought I was sad because I lost, so she tried to comfort me, I tried to deny that I was sad, but stopped when she said shell get me apple juice to make me feel better.

After some more walking around and thinking, I finally came up with a solution.

'The brain uses electrical signals to communicate with the rest of the body. If I can accelerate that process, not just sight, but smell, hear, touch, and even taste. All of those would be enhanced, or lower them!' Aska had an enlightened look on his face.

After today I had a lot to think about. I've tapped into magnetic forces, but by no means do I have it mastered. Also enhancing my senses is something that is much more delicate. I need to consider and plan many things before I try anything.

Since I was tired I told them that I would like to go back to the room. It wasn't late yet, so I felt bad for ending the day early.

"Why don't the two of you go on out by yourselves. I was playing all day, so I want to go to the hotel room and watch the TV" -Aska to his parents as they were nearing the hotel.

"Aska, you're so sweet, but we're also tired" -mom tried to deny my suggestion.

I ignored mom's response and went closer to dad.

"You should take her out somewhere nice, for the last few days, she took care of me without having any fun, or time for herself. " Aska whispered to his dad

Dad looked at me with a smile, and then gave a nod.

"You know, there are a bunch of really nice restaurants here that don't require reservations. Let's go somewhere" -dad

"And leave Aska alone?! No way, I also want to watch TV." -mom

"Mom you should go, it's a vacation after all. Besides so what if I'm alone. This is I-ISLAND there are no crimes here." -Aska

"But still" mom was still hesitant

"Let's go, I also want to go on a dinner date with you" -dad told mom as he held her hands and looked into her eyes

'Ugh' -Aska rolled his eyes

"What about you Aska, what will you eat. At least all three of us should go eat dinner together" -mom

"No mom, this is something for you two to do, besides I'll order room service or something. Don't worry about me." -Aska

By the time we convinced mom, we were already in front of the hotel. Mom refused to leave right away, she went all the way to the suite door, and made sure I'm ok, after I entered the room, she then left with dad.

Now that I have a minute to myself. Let's sort out my thoughts.

'Dad hasn't said anything to me since he noticed I learned that boy's magnetism, this may not be that worrying but I'd like it if he doesn't do anything major, *sigh* there is nothing I can do about it. Moving on, magnetism itself is very powerful I need to work on it. Then sense enhancement. That last one is difficult to deal with. I don't want to try it and become a vegetable because I ruined my brain.'

After some more thinking Aska was able to add more details to his plans

'I'll work on magnetism first. I won't try to mess with my brain in anyway until I study more about how the brain functions, if I have a clearer understanding, it should lessen the chances of mistakes' after Aska finished his plane he picked up the phone in the room and ordered room service.

It was about 20 minutes later that the food arrived, Aska ate his food, which was pasta, and then got down to work

'Fist I need to know what I can do now and try to improve on it' Aska thought to himself as he stared at the table in front of him.

On the table there was a paper clip, a couple of remote batteries, and the fork he just ate with.

Aska remembered the wavelength of magnetism, it took him a few minutes to get it right, but he was able to get there nonetheless.

'lets start with the paperclip' Aska thought as he focused on the paper clip. the paper clip started to move slightly.

'just how weak is my magnetic force, that I can barely make a paper clip move' -Aska thought

"Its ok I can make it stronger before the entrance exam" -Aska said out loud to himself

Aska spent the whole time working on his magnetic force. The time was around midnight when his parents came back.

Mom checked on him. she saw him in his room watching the TV. After she made sure he was ok, she told him to go to bed, since they have to travel tomorrow. Aska was using observation haki, but after they came back to the suite, he stopped.

'I really would feel like shit if they do something, and I watch them with observation. In cases like this ignorance is bliss' Aska thought about it, and then hoped that they know how to keep it quite.

Thankfully, Aska didn't hear anything that night and was able to go to sleep peacefully. They all woke up the next morning around 8 am. They had breakfast, packed their bags and went to the airport.

The flight was nice, nothing happened at all during the flight.

'dad hasn't said a word to me yet' -Aska looked at his father when they were heading towards the air plane exit.

when we exited the airport, one of dad's friends were waiting for us and he drove us home.

After we got home, I went to my room, unpacked my bag and took a shower, my parents did the same. After that I sent an email to Lenox, saying that I made it home safely, surprisingly he responded right away.

By the time we settled down, it was time for dinner. Mom didn't feel like cooking so we ordered take out.

After we ate, mom said she was tired and she head to bed early. It was just dad and I left in the living room

'If he wants to say something, this is a good chance' Aska thought as he glanced at his father.

As if read Aska's mind, "Aska I want to talk to you about something"

"what is it dad?" -Aska

"Explain to me in as much detail as possible, how did you copy that boy's magnetic ability?" -dad

'Should I? I know he won't do anything to harm me but still. Screw it!' thought Aska before he said

"When I got closer to that boy, I could feel electric energy coming from him, but his power was different from mine, I'm not sure what it was, so I just sat down and tried to match my energy with his. That's all"

"hum, maybe what you felt was the difference in wavelength, then that means your quirk is much stronger than what we initially thought! Usually, electric types are limited to one wavelength, that's why even some of the strongest electric users can't mimic other's wavelength"

After saying that, dad just sat down in silence, I felt that he had more to add so I didn't leave yet.

"That's a great ability you have Aska, truly but do you know what you can do with an ability like that?" -dad

"No" -Aska

"Well first of all, the mount of equipment that could be built with your ability, is insane, you see there is this reactor I've been working on...." Aska tuned his dad instantly,

'This man had me worried for so long, I questioned weather or not I did something wrong, I thought that he will open me up and experiment on me, you're lucky you're my dad, if that wasn't the case I would have punched you for that!!!!' - Aska shouted in his mind, though he was ticked off, he felt relieved that nothing big happened.

After 30 minutes or so of dad going on and on about how my abilities, and how it could help the world through tools and equipment, I was finally able to get away from him, and went to my room to sleep.
