The rest of the week went by in a flash, and it was Friday, and the time for the Atlas hero tournament. Because of the time difference Aska had to stay awake till a very late hour.
Aska opened his laptop. After finding the live stream for the first year competition, Aska decided to give Lenox a call.
"Yo!" - Lenox said from the other side of the phone
"What's up? I'm just checking in on you" -Aska
"I'm surprisingly feel calm" - Lenox
"Take this seriously you dumbo, or you'll lose" - Aska
"Hahaha. Don't worry, I'll win." - Lenox laughed
"You know if after I stayed up to this hour just to watch you and you lose, I'll book a ticket to America and come to beat you up myself" - Aska
Aska chatted some more with Lenox, before Lenox had to go. Aska started watching.
The idea of the hero tournament was similar to the UA sports festival. Unsurprisingly Lenox took the stage, as the class representative, to say some words of encouragement to his fellow students.

*Lenox POV*
As I walked up the stairs, I look at the right side where my father is sitting in the VIP section. Leonard Burns, the US number two hero, aka Blaze.
I take a deep breath, as a picture of someone else comes to mind. A boy my age, white hair and blue-grayish eyes. The only person in my age group who is able to keep up with me. He won his competition just recently. I can't lose this.
I make it to the top of the podium they had prepared for me. I walk up to the mic. I take out the small paper in my pocket.
The paper had some words on it. [Let's enjoy this competition and have fun! Above all else lets prove to everyone what Atlas students can do! Good luck everyone!]
What pathetic words. If I say those words, then my father would be disappointed, so will my rival. What can I say to make, the man I look up to and the guy I view as my equal, not feel disappointed.
As I was about to say something, my eye landed on one person among the participating students, a short girl. She was obviously from Asian heritage. She had black hair, glazed over sea foam green eyes. The VP of my class, Toph. Even if she was born blind, sometimes she seems to be the only person who can see the truth. Toph smiled at me and nodded her head, like she knew I was looking at her.
There are many people who have lots of expectations for me. I take a deep breath again, and crumble the paper in my hand.
"Many people dream of success without fully committing to the hard work it demands. They give their goals a few tries, but abandon them when they see no immediate results. After failing they retreat to their comfort zone where adversity is obsolete. In contrast there exists a group of tenacious individuals who even though they fall over and over again, they stand back up through the pain and suffering and keep going. These individuals push themselves to the extreme. They improve their bodies, and minds. They are the ones who carve their own way to their own destiny. Their unwavering persistence and tireless efforts secure the victories that elude others, earning them the title of the 1%. So to all my fellow students, where do you belong, the comfort zone, or at the top?" - Lenox said then he walked out off the podium

*Aska POV*
'Is he trying to act tough? What a badass speech though!' - Aska
Aska stayed the whole night up watching the hero tournament. Atlas went all out and did it big. For the first round, an Atlas teacher opened a warp gate that took the students to a mountain range. Their task was to cross the mountain range within three hours. Those who failed to make it were eliminated.
First place was Lenox who was able to melt his way through a mountain. Second place was a girl Aska had seen in his previous life, Toph Beifong. Third place was a boy with blond hair who had a speed quirk, he was able to run around the mountains.
The second round was a search and Neutralize. For this round, the students were split into teams at random. Then they were sent to an average American railway station. Their mission was to locate a "bomb" before the timer went off. Each team had a 10 minutes to to locate and neutralize it in any means available to them.
For the second round Lenox's team was able to locate the bomb in the shortest time. Lenox used his quirk in a very sophisticated way, he melted the inner wiring of the bomb without causing it to blow up, effectively neutralizing the bomb.
The third round was a one V one battles. Aska was very impressed by the capabilities of the Atlas hero course students.
'Their weakest is a little stronger than our weakest' Aska thought as he was watching the different battles.
Finally it was the final battle. The first contestant was Lenox of course and the second was Toph. Unfortunately for Toph, Lenox's quirk was a great counter to hers.
Any earth attacks she formed, Lenox was able to melt in seconds. Lenox did something that made Aska smile like a moron while staring at the screen.
'So it seems that he developed some new moves and tricks. I think we will meet at I-Island this year. This will be fun' - Aska thought as he turned off his laptop and went to sleep.

The next morning, Aska woke up and had breakfast with his parents.
"Can I go over to Momo's house today? It's for a study group that she's hosting with some other students from our class. It's for the midterms" - Aska
"Yeah right. A study group" - Mom said with squinted eyes
"There will be other students there, it won't just be us" - Aska replied quickly
"So you say" - Mom with her eyes still squinted
Aska started trying to defend himself
"hahaha. She's teasing you Aska. Of course you can go" - Dad
"Actually, we have some good news for you Aska" - Mom suddenly said
Aska looked at his parents.
"Usually I would ay let's wait till after your exams, but you're very mature, I know you won't get distracted by this... You will have a younger brother" - Mom said with a smile
Aska got up from his seat and gave his mother a a hug.
"What about me" - Dad said
"When you push a baby out of you then you deserve a hug like me" - Mom responded instead of Aska
"Oh its a two man thing when I have to pay, but you get all the attention when it's time for complements" - Dad said jokingly
"What can I say? I'm just that much better than you" - Mom said with a smug grin
"You're lucky you're pregnant" - Dad
"Or what? Or what? come on then. I'll take you on even if I'm pregnant" - Mom
'These two, they never miss a chance to argue with each other' Aska laughed as he watched his parents.

After breakfast Aska got ready and made his way to the Yaoyorozu mansion. When he got there he saw some of his other classmates standing in front of the gate. They were staring at the mansion with awe.
"Close your mouth Kaminari, or a fly might get in" - Aska said as he walked closer to them
"hahahah" - Jiro laughed at Kaminari
"Wait, why are you here?" - Ashido
"Momo asked me to come" - Aska responded
Ashido smiled like a mischievous child.
Ashido walked closer to Aska and leaned closer and whispered to his ears "Sooooo~ are you and Yaoyorozu going out"
"Ashido, I think you ought to focus on your studies. You're ranked 16 in the class if I remember correctly" - Aska said with a smile
Ashido's smile turned into a pained look with some fake tears, "You don't have to remind me"
'Great! Mom's technique works. Don't argue the point, argue the person. That's how you win an argument' - Aska thought as he gave his mother a thumbs up in his mind
By the time Aska and Ashido were done talking, Momo's voice came over the small speakers put in the wall.
"Welcome everyone. One second I'll open the gate for you" - Momo said. A second later the gates opened, and the group of five walked in.
After about 10 minutes of walking they reached the mansion doors.
Momo was waiting for them at the door, along with her butler and two maids.
"Hey everyone. I'm really glad you all made it" - Momo was very happy to have her friends over.
All of them were very surprised. None of them, except for Aska, knew that she was this rich. After getting over their shock, they all started studying
A dozen cups of tea later, and it was already sunset. Everyone said their goodbyes and left.
Aska didn't learn anything from this study group. He was actually doing most of the teaching.
'I feel like Momo tricked me to come here and teach instead of her' - Aska laughed a little on his way home.
After getting home Aska looked at the watch. It should be very early morning in the US.
Aska grabbed his phone and dialed a number.
"Hello" - Lenox's groggy voice came through
"Congrats on barely making it" - Aska said in a mocking tone
"Oh it's you" - Lenox said as he started waking up
"Yeah it's me, the same person you said will show how winning looks like" - Aska teased
"You know what? You're just mad cuz my speech was leagues above yours" - Lenox
"That's true, your very good at talking, but nothing else unfortunately" - Aska laughed
The two talked for some more time, before they hung up.
The rest of the weekend was gone in a flash. And it was the first day of testing.
Aska walked into class, everyone has an intense look on their faces. Aska took his seat and waited.
Mr. Aizawa walked in, "Listen up. The first exam will be history. This exam is timed, so be mindful of the time" Mr. Aizawa's hair floated as his eyes were glowing "If I catch any cheating, I'll make you regret it"
