47 47-Sports Festival (3)
After the second round, it turns out that there are recreational games going on. The games were purely for entertainment and a chance for other students to show off before the final round.
"Do you wanna try?" - Aska looked at Momo
"Are you sure? I mean we have to relax and wait for the last round" - Momo looked worried about getting tired
"Let's go. It'll be fun, and don't worry about getting tired. You don't have to push yourself too hard, just have fun" - Aska grabbed Momo's hand and went to the arena
Looking at the screen, he saw that there were a few games that students can participate in. There was a sculpting game, where students with molding, welding or earth manipulation got a chance to show off their abilities.
"Hey that looks fun let's do that one" - Momo pointed at a ball race game.
Ball race was, like the name implies, a race. They had to run a hundred meter dash while pushing a big ball. The first person to cross the finish line with their ball wins.
"Sure" - Aska and Momo got to the area where the ball race. Aska and Momo lined up on the starting line.
On the count of three, all contestants pushed the ball and started running.
It was a mayhem to say the least. Someone couldn't control his ball. The ball rolled towards Aska as he was running. He jumped out of the way, but poor Momo, who was next to him, wasn't quick enough.
Another girl got dragged out of the arena with her ball.
Standing at the finish line Aska, who finished first, was looking at the rest of the contents while laughing so hard.
Momo made it to the finish line, her hair was all messed up, she was dragging her feet, and panting.
"You think that's funny?!"- Momo pouted
"Hahahahaha" Aska kept laughing he couldn't even answer.
"Alright then. Let's do that one!" -Momo dragged Aska to another game. This one was a big pool of water with small floating islands in them. The islands are small enough to only fit one person standing.
The game was to knock people off their small floaters and the last person standing wins.
Getting to the pool, Aska and Momo took their places.
A bunch other students took their places as well. Most of them had water manipulation or some sort of way to control water. There were some students from the support hero course showing off their water related inventions.
"I'll make you pay for laughing at me" -Momo said with an evil smile
"Bring it on!" -Aska shouted at her still giggling from last rounds events
A second later Momo used her quirk to make a water cannon, not a gun, a cannon!
"What the hell!" -Aska shouted when he saw the weapon.
"You'll pay!" - Momo
"Calm down Momo! We can talk this out" - Aska
Momo fired the water cannon, when she fired the water cannon two things happened.
First she missed her target and hit another student near by.
Second she forgot that her footing was on a small floater and the recoil pushed her back and she fell in the water with a plop.
That was so unexpected for Aska that it caught him off guard. Aska was wheezing laughter and fell in the water himself.
"Stop laughing!" -Momo saw Aska come out of the water still laughing
"Ok. Ok. I've calmed down now" -Aska said as he wiped a way some tears of laughter from his eyes.
"Do you wanna go try another game?" -Momo said to Aska, but this time she wasn't planing anything.
"No, we've had enough fun for one day" - Aska said as he wrapped himself in lightning, drying himself immediately.
Mom had to go to the changing room and dry herself and put on dry clothes.
After the recreational games were over, Aska walked out of the arena and found his parents. Just as he was walking towards them, Aska saw Momo walking towards him. When he saw Momo he remembered how she got run over by a ball and then the whole water cannon thing
"Aska, I let you win back there so don't get full of yourself" - Momo said when she saw the smug smile on his face
"Sure, sure. I would've lost if you took it seriously. I mean that water cannon was scary. It's like a firefighter hose" - Aska
"I would've blown you away if I had a better footing" - Momo said with a smile
Aska and Momo laughed at the whole thing.
"So, are your parents here?" - Aska
"No, dad is very busy he couldn't make it, and mom is overseas" - Momo said in a slightly sad tone.
"Oh, would you like to come with me, I'll introduce you to my family" - Aska
Momo blushed a little, 'isn't it a little early for him to introduce me to his family' but she nodded in the end
Walking back to where his parents were, Aska saw them preparing the area where they'll sit. It was a park bench with a table. They had different bento boxes placed on the table.
"Hey there champ!" - Dad waved when he saw Aska coming closer
"Hey dad, mom" - Aska
"Come sit, I've prepared your favorite food. Oh! What do we have here" - Mom said when she saw Momo right behind Aska
"Mom, Dad, this is Momo Yaoyorozu. Momo, these are my parents" - Aska made a quick introduction. He couldn't wait to start eating, and then getting that apple pie he can smell from all the over here.
Seeing Aska's eye looking straight at the basket with the apple pie, "Aska! Make a proper introduction, or forget the apple pie" mom said to him
"Mom, Dad. Let me introduce to you Momo Yaoyorozu. We're classmates, and she's my deputy in class. Momo that's my mom, Uyeno Minamoto. And this is my dad Hirai Minamoto. Dad works in a tech company creating all kinds of gadgets and what not. I told you before that mom is pregnant, she's not actually fa-" - Aska didn't finish the sentence and was smacked on the back of the head.
"Hello Momo dear, Aska told me about you before" - Mom smiled, like she didn't just smack someone.
"Hello ma'am. Aska told me about the situation you were in. I'm glad your ok" - Momo
"It'll take more than that to take me down" - Mom said as she lightly chuckled.
As mom and Momo were talking, dad nudged my arm.
"You bagged a good one" - dad
"What's that supposed to mean" - Aska
"I mean, you wouldn't have to work a day in your life" - Dad with a smug smile on his face
"I know her family is rich but I won't use them for money, besides I haven't' bagged anything" - Aska
"Yet" - Dad
"What are you two talking about" - Mom
"huh? nothing honey. I was just telling Aska that his friend is very nice" - Dad
"Hello sir. Pleasure to meet you"- Momo took this chance to say hi to dad
"Hello there. Nice to meet you too" - Dad
After the introductions we started eating. While eating mom and Momo seemed to be getting along great, while dad kept making remarks about how good of a catch I got. It was fun and relaxing to see my family all smiles.
"Oh right Aska, what's left after the break?" - Mom asked
"Well the last round is always a one v one battles" - Aska
"Please be careful out there" - mom
"Don't worry, regardless
of who I fight, I'll win" - Asak
"Being overconfident can cause you to lose" - mom
"I would agree if I didn't see him knock out all of the students in the first and second rounds" - dad
"See! Dad gets it" - Aska
"*sigh* Just be careful regardless" - mom gave up the argument. She was worried about Aska as her son, but she knew they were right.
"Who do you think you'll fight in the first round Aska?" - Momo chimed in
"I don't care as long as they can put up a fight" - Aska
"I really don't want to face you first" - Momo said as she thought about the terrible possibility
"There were many good students that were eliminated in the second round, no?" - dad
"There are a few, mainly Bakugo I think" - Momo
"If he was smart enough to stay away from me, he would've gotten to the next round. He bit more than he can chew" - Aska said as he chuckled remembering Bakugo with two tranquiller darts in his ass. Momo remembered the same thing but she felt embarrassed.
*DING DING*
"It seems the break is over. Alright you two, go back. We'll take the audience entrance" - Dad
"Goodbye, Mr. and Mrs. Minamoto. It was very nice to meet you" - Momo
"Dad I think we should a buy a glass cabinet after the tournament" - Aska
"Why?" - Dad
"Where would I put my trophy after I win" - Aska said as he ran away towards the contestants entrance.
"That's a great idea. Maybe I'll build one with custom lighting and a rotating display stand" - Dad said to himself as he thought about it, and even started to come up with a design.
"*sigh* I sometimes can't with the two of you" - Mom

Aska and Momo made their way towards the contestants balcony where they can see the arena and the fights happening. The central area of the stadium had a newly installed fighting arena.
"Guess Cementoss was hard at work during the break" - Momo commented when she noticed the fighting arena.
Ms. Midnight stood in the center, "~Welcome back my dear audience~! For the third round as the custom has always been. It will be one on one fights. Now we will begin the drawing of the names." After she said that, the big screen behind her split and showed two different screens. The first was the names of all the contestants spinning, and the second screen was the competition brackets. After a series of spinning and filling the bracket in, it was:
Takashi VS Midoriya
Tsuburaba VS Tokoyami
Todoroki VS Ojiro
Yaoyorozu VS Rin
Shinso VS Uraraka
Mei VS Iida
Aska VS Kaminari
After hearing the announcement of the games, Aska looked at all the people in the room. Almost all of them seemed relived, except for Kaminari.
Not too long after, Takashi and Midoriya were standing opposite each other.
