Room

When the atmosphere was a little better and everyone had calmed down, the headmaster proceeded to speak.

"Nobody is forced to stay here, if you feel that you want to leave the academy, then by all means do so after leaving this place."

The auditorium was silent, it was true that most of them had already harbored the thought of leaving after watching the videos, they didn't want to end dead."

"But I hope you know that if you leave, you are reducing the chances of those you love seeing a better future, they might live longer if you stay and fight, but they might die if you leave."

"It might not look as so, but every elite plays a crucial role in the survival of humanity. Your presence alone can give hope to someone."

"If nobody wants to fight for the fear of death, then won't we all end up dead, killed by beasts?"

What the headmaster said hit them deep, they were scared shitless just by a video, and they were already contemplating leaving the academy. If everyone behaved the way they wanted to, would there be anyone to fight?

With newfound determination, most if not all the students decided to push through and become elites, they would fight for the safety of those they loved.

Headmaster Leo looked at the faces of the students, he smiled when he saw the new look of determination on their faces.

"Now let us get into the main part of things, the orientation."

"Unlike the separation of the alliance, the academy is merging all one thousand students from all the sections into the first-year program."

"You will all be fellow mates. The rules and regulations of the school are simple, and they have been put into a book, which has been delivered to your dorm rooms."

The headmaster dug his hand into his suit pocket, removing a watch. The watch was square and looked very techy. He raised the watch showing the students.

"What you see in my hands is your life in the academy, it is something that you must have on you at all times. This watch comes with a manual, which has been delivered to your dorm rooms, as well as the watch."

"I will not spend much time explaining everything, as everything is already in the rules and regulations book, so I advise you to read it. As for your dorm rooms," he pressed a button on his remote, causing the screen behind to turn on revealing all one thousand names of the students, as well as their dorm room."

"I believe you will all be able to find your dorm room location by yourself. I wish you a happy first day because as of tomorrow, your hell begins."

The headmaster came down from the stage, leaving through a door beside the stage, leaving a host of confused students.

Asher checked his room. "Room 27 hall B2." He memorized his room, then bidding Lily goodbye, he took his bags and left the auditorium.

"What do you think things will be like here?" Asher asked Elsa as he navigated using the help of signs that were set up, the signs said where and where places were located in the academy.

"It's hard to say, I can sense a handful of strong presences here. Though I am not sure, their strength should be close to young elites from my world. " Elsa said.

Asher could not tell how strongly these people were using her description, so he asked her to dumb it down. "Can you use me as the ground level for your description?"

"Sigh, they would at least be ten times your strength." Elsa used him as a comparison.

Asher drew in a cold breath, the realization that there were people here who were ten times stronger than him was stunning, but it was not comparable to the fact that Elsa said their strength would only be that of young elites in her world.

Asher became curious about her world again, but as he remembered the question she had asked him at the time he chose not to ask her anything about it.

"Is it possible for anyone to see you?" Asher asked.

"I am not sure there is someone in this world that can do it.? Elsa replied.

"What of your world, are there people there that can see souls?" Asher asked her.

Elsa looked at Asher for a few seconds, then she shook her head. "I have told you too much of my world already, let's leave things at that." As she said that, she turned her attention away from Asher.

Asher felt bad that she had chosen to withhold the answer from him, but he did push it. He felt that there was something about her world that she didn't want him to know, well not his current strength.

'I'll get stronger, and you will have to tell me.' Asher thought in a secluded part of his mind, not letting her hear. This was something he had learned of recently, Elsa had thought him a way that he could have private thoughts without her hearing, but he had to be actively concealing the thought.

Asher finally found hall B2, he went inside. On the ground floor of the two-story building, he met the receptionist, a middle-aged man.

"Good day sir, I was assigned to room 27." Asher greeted and stated his business.

"Oh, state your name kid." The man asked Asher.

"Asher Terron sir," Asher said respectfully.

The middle-aged man nodded, then proceeded to type the next into his computer. After confirming that Asher's room was indeed 27, he removed a key from the key rack behind him and gave it to Asher. He told Asher that his room was on the first floor.

Asher collected the key that had a tag, the tag had the number 27 printed on it. Thanking the man and then carrying his bags, he headed upstairs.

Asher found his room, unlocked it with the key, and walked in. Two beds lay in opposites of the room, each having a cupboard and a small cabinet to go with it. Two study desks with computers on them, each on either side of the room, just like the beds.

The walls were pure white, as well as the bulb that illuminated the room. One bathroom and toilet, that was the summary of the room.

Asher knew from the two beds that he would be having a roommate. Asher walked in, randomly choosing a bed, he dropped his bags next to the bed, he collapsed into the bed, finally resting.
