2 Letter

My dear son Asher,

I don't know how to go about all this. I can't let you in on why everything is as it is, because you are still weak and young. Just know that I am alive and well. But please don't let your mum know, I have my reasons. The pendant I gave you is to help you grow stronger, just drop your blood on it and let it work its magic. Bye for now.

Yours truly

Dad.

Asher looked at the letter in his hand, his eye twitched uncontrolablly. His father wrote such a casual and short letter to him. He disappeared for ten years, causing them to live for ten years with the notion that he was dead. Then he said he shouldn't still tell his mother.

"I will give you a divine beat-up if we ever meet."

Asher's eyes shifted to the pendant on the ground, his father wrote that it was to help him get stronger. Asher took the pendant and then went to sit on the bed, pulling out a drawer from his cabinet, he picked a small pocket knife that was inside.

After some minutes, Asher had been unable to pierce his hand and draw blood. It was much harder than it sounds. Finally, he clenched his teeth, and cut his finger, allowing a small drop of blood to sip out and fall on the pendant.

He waited for some time yet nothing happened. "Is it broken, or did I not pour enough bl---." He was cut mid-sentence, as the black stone morphed to red. A light shot out of the pendant into his head, knocking him out cold.

Slowly Asher regained his consciousness. He stood up from the ground. "At least put a label that says you will faint." As he cleared his foggy mind, he saw someone. The most beautiful young lady he had ever seen in his life, with white hair that reached her waist and silver eyes. She wore a beautiful black gown, she sat watching television.

"Wh-who are you?" Asher asked in shock, he didn't know this person, yet she was in his room.

"Oh! You are finally awake." Her voice was smooth and calm, very pleasing to the ears. Asher shook his head, trying to remove the allure of her voice from his head. He was a virgin through and through because no girl would date someone like him. Even if they somehow managed to like him, they would still not date him, as that would be social suicide. He had never tasted romance in his life, so the appearance of the lady made his mind a bit foggy.

"Who are you?" Asher asked again.

"Huh? What do you mean? You were the one that absorbed my soul right?" The lady asked in a perplexed tone.

Asher quickly looked for the pendant, he saw the black stone broken into two. "Was your soul in that stone?" Asher pointed to the broken stone, she followed his finger and looked at the stone.

"I think so." She said as she looked at the stone.

Asher couldn't wrap his head around all this, what had his father made him absorb. He decided to take a step back and proceed slowly. He sat cross-legged on the floor, looking at the beautiful lady. "Let's start with introductions. I am Asher Terron." Asher introduced himself.

The lady giggled before she spoke. "I already know who you are, I have access to your mind."

Asher felt his heart constrict when he heard this, does this mean she saw all his memories? The lady noticed the unease in Asher so she said. "Don't worry, I only dug up basic information about you, I am yet to go deeper.

"Yet." That was the keyword in that phrase.

"I am Elsa, the lightning dragon."

"Dragon?" Asher looked at her confused. "How are you a dragon?"

"I changed to my human form, beings that reach my status can gain the ability to manipulate forms. I didn't want to scare you, waking up to see a colossal dragon in your room."

Asher agreed with her thinking if he had woken up to see a dragon, he would have assumed that it was a beast.

"How did you get into that little stone?" Asher threw out the next question.

"I am a soul so I can stay within anything."

"How did you die?" he assumed that she must have died to become a soul.

"You are not strong enough to know the details of my life, it will bring you more peril than help."

Asher wanted to complain about how his dad and now this lady were treating him like a kid, choosing what information to give, but he ultimately refrained from doing it.

"So what will happen to me now that I absorbed your soul?"

"Simple, you have gained my abilities, you will possess control over lightning, and possibly as you grow you might be able to turn into a dragon. You are now the new lightning dragon, as you have inherited all my abilities and genes."

Asher knew that he would gain something from the soul, but he never expected something this big, this was simply outstanding, too good to be true. He was more shocked at the fact that he might be able to transform into a dragon one day.

He wanted to test out the lightning immediately.

Asher shot up. "Please let's go test it out."

"Why the rush? It's getting dark, and I want to watch television." Elsa said relaxing on his bed, this ancient being was now addicted to television

"Please, I have waited my entire life for an ability, I will do anything." Asher was barely able to contain himself.

"Oh! Since you said you would do anything, then you will let me go through your entire mind without complaining." Elsa said with a sly look.

Asher paused for a second, before agreeing. He could not just wait.

As he left the house, Elsa simply floated beside him. He noticed that nobody could see her, they were only seeing Asher, and throwing cold looks at him.

"Just you wait, this is the last day you will look at me like that, from now henceforth, I will strive and become stronger than anyone who has existed. With this opportunity, I will rise." He swore under his breath.

Elsa looked at Asher and she sighed, when she looked through Asher's memory, she saw all the pain he had endured. It reminded her of when she was still a young dragon millennial ago.

If only Asher knew that his journey was in no way tied to earth.
