42 Devils and Grigori's Meeting(Rewrite)

When Kurayami found Akeno, She was tending to Elektra who was a little cranky as she had gotten Dragon Flue. The dragon sneezed sending snot everywhere so Akeno wiped the snot from her nostrils with a towel.

"That's a good girl."

Elektra was 5 years old so she was still quite small compared to the adults of her race. The Sprite Dragons as right now she was only the size of a horse. Akeno could finally ride her, but it was not going to be a very comfy ride so Akeno did not force her.

Akeno turned around when she sensed his approach.

"Kurayami, you're hiding something."

They only blocked their bond from each other when they wanted to hide something. It made her squint her eyes as she looked at him.

"Sure I am. I got a gift for you."

"Our 16th birthday is not for another 8 months."

"Then consider this a late 15th birthday gift."

Akeno smiled as he walked toward her. When they were in front of each other it was clear to see how similar they appeared. Both of them shared the same shade of hair, dark as an abyss.

Their eyes were the same color only that Kurayami now had a black sclera to distinguish him. And they were both tall as Akeno was 5'10 and he was now 6'6. He quickly gave her a hug which she returned.

She wrapped her arms around his neck as they shared a hug. Once they separated he pulled Night Reflection Cross from out of nowhere. It was a swirling mass of darkness that he had been tempering for her.

"Night Refection Cross."

He nodded.

"Me and Azrael both have been tempering with our powers. It should grant you at the minimum an affinity for Death Magic. Or kill you."

She stopped smiling when she heard the last part.

"If I die, I will haunt you for the rest of your life."

"Just take it already."

"Fine."

When she took it into her hands she closed her eyes and began to draw it toward her soul. Being shown Kurayami's soundscape allowed her to reach an understanding and begin to sense her own soul.

He had thought he would have had to intervene, but once she drew it into her soul Castellen her spear began to aid her in the process. With the both of them, they managed to drive out any lingering will of Augusta.

Kurayami did not intervene as he knew that Akeno had her talents. She had to be as she was his twin after all. When she got done, Akeno opened her eyes which began they were entirely black.

She squinted her eyes causing them to return to normal. She was far from done as now her soul was bound to a new Sacred Gear. She would have to spend time getting her affairs to return to battle.

"Damn it, that stings."

Kurayami patted her head.

"Take the time you need."

"Oh, I will. Excuse me."

She walked to a nearby wall and sat down before closing her eyes. She would not be up and about for a while as he felt her begin to stabilize her condition. Death Magic was flowing through her body, but it was not killing her as it should.

This was also a result of her being exposed to Kurayami's raw soul as a fetus. For 9 months she had been exposed to his aura which caused the mutation in her bloodline. This was starting to wake it up which was causing her to feel extremely overwhelmed.

As she did that he turned to Elektra who was still upset at being sick.

She sneezed and a growl came out of her throat.

"So you are mad about your sickness. I would be too. Just don't get Tyrant sick when he wakes up."

An interesting thing happened to Tyrant after his Balance Breaker. All that raw energy he was exposed to had drawn out the Dragon Blood they had been feeding him. He had essentially sealed himself within his pact as he underwent an evolution.

He had surrounded himself with Darkness, Death Energy, Soul Essence, Fire, and lightning. It had been over 2 weeks since the start of the process, but he was still not coming out.

As for Electra, she no longer wanted to stay out here so she returned to Akeno's pact as staying out was just shitty. Kurayami let Akeno be turned to Walburga.

"Come on."

"Question Master? Are you fucking your sister?"

"Not yet."

She snorted.

"Yet? Man, you are a bigger pervert than me that is for sure."

"You better not say anything or the same punishment applies."

"My lips are sealed."

"Sure they are. Come on. I got to find Kuroka."

"What for?"

"She is recovering."

---

He found her in Azazel's lab as it had been a while since she started taking her medicine. Azazel had collected the stuff expelled from her body to analyze. It. This allowed him to learn what they put in the experiments on her which would help in treating them. When they entered the lab he saw Kuroka strapped to several devices.

She had a happy smile as Azazel had been keeping an eye on her progress and she truly was recovering.

"It's been a while since you started your treatment and I can see your body has begun to cleanse itself and you are growing stronger again. I also analyzed the stuff that your body forced out and found some stuff.

Kurayami was now intrigued.

"What?"

Azazel picked up a report and started to explain what he found.

"Well, we know they were trying to make Super Devils. I found traces of many rare herbs that increase Demonic Power in Devils and several drugs that are supposed to do the same. However, in exchange for quickly growing power, they begin to destroy your natural growth to the point where it stops altogether."

Kurayami looked at Kuroka concerned.

"Is it threatening to her life?"

Azazel shook his head.

"No, but we may need the entire research. The process is theoretically possible, however, this was a crude attempt at it as she was the first test subject. If I can get my hands on it I might be able to reverse engineer it for our use and fully treat her.

Kuroka looked up and said something they had to know.

"Shirone has it. It is in her hairpin the entire research is on it. Mother gave it to her before she and the bastard that was my father killed themselves in an experiment."

Kurayami and Azazel looked at each other and had some diabolical looks on their faces. Azazel wanted that research at all costs so getting Shirone now became more important.

"Well seems we need got a goal now. Kurayami if you have a chance, get that hairpin."

"Of course. It will help Grigori and Kuroka as well.

Kuroka did not care what they did with the thing.

"I just care about Shirone. You can have the thing."

"Your sister is important to you so she is family. Even if I have to go to war I will get her back for you."

"Don't for my sake, but thank you for the kind words."

Just as they were going to continue their talk many of Azazel's wards placed at the edge of their territory went off as someone had tripped them.

Kurayami glanced at Azazel.

"Who is it?"

Shin began to growl as he was itching for a fight. Azazel messed with his computer and saw two people.

"One of the four great Satans, Serafall Leviathan and Grayfia Lucifuge. What an interesting development. Kurayami, you and I are heading out. It seems they are here to discuss what you told them. Better be safe than sorry though."

Azazel got the Downfall Dragon Spear out of his pocket as this might be the chance to use it. Kurayami knew it was still a little unstable so he asked about it.

"You sure it is ready?"

Azazel nodded.

"It is."

Azazel sent a message to Esdeath, Vali, Ares, Raynare, Lavinia, Azrael, and the Cadre in Grigori.

"This is Azazel. We got Devils on our turf. I am heading out with Kurayami. If we fight get ready for war. Let's go Kurayami."

Both of them teleported to the edge of their territory. Both of them and Shin began to walk forward. Azazel looked down at Shin and suggested something.

"The peak of Sacred Gears is the Abyss Balance Breaker a manifestation of your entire being. Azrael had said you will become a Super fallen Angel one day, but what do you feel when you go Balance Breaker?"

"Every time I enter Balance Breaker, I feel the power forced out of my blood pushing me into the next rank. So far, besides me, Raynare and Akeno are on the brink of entering the next rank. Esdeath got her third pair of wings recently, they keep pushing themselves."

"All thanks to you, they don't want to be left behind. It is incredible to see the future of our race. Now let's go see these Devils and show them why peace is the only choice. What was the saying, peace is achieved when the strongest no longer want to play?"

Kurayami chuckled.

"I like it."

Azazel grinned.

"Course you do, I made it up. Now, let us get you your second maid."

He rolled his eyes.

"If it comes to that."

"Trust me, it will."

Azazel chuckled as they both headed out to meet the devils. When they flew down with their wings exposed it made Grayfia realize Kurayami was no longer a Cadre. He was a Seraph and it had only been a month since she met him.

'What has happened in this short time? A Balance Breaker, the awakening of his Divine Heritage, or a mass feeding of souls? What could it be?'

Both Azazel and Kuraymi landed and retracted their wings about 100 meters away. They both walked forward until Serafall, and Grayfia were just 10 meters apart from them. At Kuraymi's side, Shin looked at the two Devils ready to kill them if they made the wrong move.

Azazel smiled at the sight of them.

"Grayfia Lucifuge and Serafall Leviathan. Welcome to our territory, now may I ask what you are doing here?"

Serafall explained her actions.

"I came as a diplomat. We have come to talk as your heir spoke on peace."

Azazel looked at Kurayami before looking back at the Devils.

"He did speak of your conversation. I take you have spoken it out?"

Serafall nodded.

"We have come to discuss that with you at length. We can't just agree to it blindly."

Kurayami felt that was fair.

"That is fair, nothing can be agreed upon just with words. Let us talk."

Azazel was proud of Kurayami as he was starting to act as a proper head.

"Come on then, I might as well have peace in my remaining 3 years as Governor-General."

Serafall looked at Kurayami and had to say that Grayfia's description was accurate. The overwhelming amount of Holy Energies tingled her skin as a Devil and along with it the necrotic feel of Death Magic.

"You are 15 yes?"

He nodded.

"I am. Why?"

Serafall looked him up and down and had to say he did not look his age. But that was normal for purebloods of their races as they matured rapidly in their formative years. Considering who his Father was it was expected for him to mature rapidly.

"You just look very mature."

Kurayami grunted.

"Thank you. Now, welcome to our territory. You are guests as of now."

The two Devils were teleported by Azazel to a secure room. Here they could speak at length. Once they were seated at a large table Azazel began the conversation.

"Give us one moment. Someone else will be joining the talks."

Serafall accepted it.

"That is fine."

Azazel contacted Azrael who was the strongest member of Grigori With him present they would have an easier time getting what they wanted. When he entered the room, both Devils gulped as the dreaded Angel of Death was with them.

Neither of them could fight against him if he wanted them dead. He sat in the middle of Azazel and Kurayami in silence. Interestingly enough, he had brought Walburga with him as she could not be left alone.

She just sat in the corner reading a grimoire with a sinister grin on her face. The book she was reading was bound in human skin and was written by a mad torturer mage of Ancient Persia.

Kurayami realized she would need a way to take out her frustrations so he planned to take some death row inmates for her to torture. Kurayami had no idea that Grayfia was not just a maid for a job, it was her life.

So seeing Walburga made Grayfia realize she had no training to be a maid at all. She was just sitting there reading a book which a maid should not do. Even the bow she wore was crooked as she put it on without a care.

She had the urge to correct her, but it was not the time. She took being a maid very seriously and this girl needed to know not to take it as a joke. She should attend to her Master, not read a creepy grimoire.

She was snapped out of her thoughts when Kurayami spoke.

"Welcome to the main base of Grigori. As we have said you are guests and shall not be harmed. The last time we met, it was a fluke as it was my first use of Space Magic. Teleporting is quite different, but it led us here."

Grayfia focused back on the talk.

"Yes, it has. It took a discussion of the 4 Satans and the Lords of the 36 Pillars to agree to this. We all want peace, but I won't lie. Fear was a big part of why we are here."

Azazel understood that well.

"I would be too if you Devils had someone like Kurayami. However, you have had Sirzechs and Ajuka who are of the same Class as Azrael so why fear?"

Serafall explained that.

"While they are in the same class, Azrael is the natural counter to Devils. His Death Magic is renowned so it's not the same. Then there is Kurayami who has the potentiol to become a Super Fallen Angel. It forced us here."

Azrael who was tapping his finger on the table smirked.

"HAHAHAHAHA! That is quite funny. Regardless, even I don't want a war again. War in of itself is borring. I am an old man now with a grandchild who just wants to relax."

 Serafall was now interested.

"Kurayami, is that why you called Azrael your 'Grandfather-In-Law?'"

"It is. I am in a relationship with Raynare, his granddaughter."

Azrael smiled as he wrapped a hand around Kurayami's neck.

"Heck yeah, you are."

Serafall and Grayfia looked at each other as they did not think Azrael was like this. Seeing their confusion Azazel cleared the air.

"It's funny as all of us are focused on our hobbies. Kurayami loves animals and he collects them. Azrael likes being a grandpa, and I like research. We have better things to do than fight a war. Now, let's get things rolling. Peace? Or War?"

Serafall smiled.

"Peace. That is what we all want."

Azrael let go of Kurayami as he leaned back. When he did that it was clear to see he and Kurayami were the same height. Giants compared to Serafall who was the same height as Kuroka at 5'2.

She had to look up at them as even Azazel was tall as he was 6'2.

'Damn tell people.'

Kurayami thought about it.

"Alright then, how are we going to do it? We have several ways to bring peace to our people. The easiest would be to simply sign a binding Peace Treaty to end all hostility. The Second involves a marriage agreement with both factions like in the past."

Serafall perked up at that.

"We discussed that as well and well every Lord suggested many of their relatives."

Kurayami's face was more expressive these days, but his face was blank. He sighed.

"Who said I offered myself? We can just have Azazel do it?"

Azazel's face gave away his shock as he did not want to be drawn into a political marriage. Hearing that made Serafall and Grayfia look at each other. The one they wanted was Kurayami. Azazel was just not what they had in mind.

Serafall did not know how to go from here.

"When you suggested peace and a marriage we assumed it was you."

Kurayami pondered on this as Walburga stood up. She closed her book and sat next to Kurayami on the large couch. She didn't talk, but she did lay her head on his lap bored of things.

Grayfia's eyes twitched as she was beginning to get annoyed with Walburga in particular.

'No decurom as a maid.'

Kurayami sighed.

"Fine. Let's say I suggest myself. Who is being offered?"

Serafall extended her hand and created some papers from Demonic Power. It was a thick stack of names and who they were. Serafall took a deep breath as she answered.

"We have a wide selection among the clans. As embarrassing as it is, my name was thrown in with the mix. The Lords all threw me under the bus so ignore it please."

Serafall saw how Kurayami's eyes began to look her up and down. His face got pensive as he was in deep thought.

'She is pure blood, her Demonic Power is higher than Grayfia, she has more experience, very beautiful, and experienced.'

Seeing the gears turning in his head, Azazel smiled.

"Serafall it seems you drew his eye."

Kurayami rolled his eyes.

"You are beautiful Serafall, powerful, talented, and you are Satan. Your status won't be any lower than mine when I become Governor-General. Consider me interested in you."

Serafall pointed at herself.

"Me? But, I am sure there are better options on the list. Won't you consider anyone else?"

"Are you saying you are unworthy? I would say you deserve the best and you are also a virgin."

She blushed bright red.

"How did you know?"

"The virginity of an individual while seemingly mundane is quite magical. It gives off an imprint and you are pure. For a Devil of your age that is surprising. More surprising that both of you are pure."

Grayfia's face did not change, but her mind was in turmoil.

'Is it that obvious.'

Azrael chuckled.

"Does that mean that you will be the agreed-upon individual for the alliance?"

Serafall thought about it, but it took her a while. She had nothing against Kurayami, but marriage. As she was thinking Walburga spoke up.

"If you don't want it the maid next you can do it. Or pick more than one. I don't give a shit."

Azrael smiled.

"That is a good idea. Grayfia, Kurayami spoke greatly of you last time. You and Serafall are of similar age, power, and status so it could be you instead."

Serafall turned to Grayfia who did not break character.

"I don't think that is possible. I am in Sirzech's peerage and that makes a servant of House Gremory. Having a servant marry you would be an insult."

Kurayami could understand that.

"The question would be are you loyal to me, your supposed husband or Sirzechs? A shame. You did draw my eye when we spoke. You both did. I am sorry if that seems like I am objectifying you. I assure you I meant no disrespect by it."

Serafall shook her head.

"No, we Devils are famous for our giant harems and you don't seem to be exclusively focusing on our bodies as many do. But, it does seem like you can appreciate beauty."

Kurayami tried to smile and it came our better than usual, but still a little off.

"Everyone can appreciate a pretty face. And you are very beautiful."

Grayfia looked at Serafall who began to think about what he said.

"Wait a moment. Most servants are their master's property, but I am not. I have my own Evil Pieces and serve Sirzechs out or commitment rather than me being his slave. Give me one moment please."

Azrael, Azazel, and Kurayami looked at each other wondering what she was doing. She called Sirzechs who quickly answered. Mentally she communicated about the terms of the agreement and how they were going.

She also added in his hobby of collecting animals specifically Magical ones. Hearing that Sirzechs had a gift that he would give to Kurayami. He also gave her permission to do as she pleased as she was a friend, not a slave.

Once the communication was over, she got her thoughts in order.

"I just called Sirzechs and went over a few terms you brought up. I talked about your interest in Serafall and myself. This is seen positively as we are both pure-blooded. I have been given autonomy to decide what to do and I think I will stay here.

Consider me a connection between our factions."

Serafall ran a hand through her hair.

"Does that eliminate me?"

Grayfia shook her head.

"No, you are free to deny or pursue a deeper connection. We are all essentially ageless and have plenty of time. 5, 10, or 15 years is of no consquence. What matters is are you going to accept?"

Serafall began to think about it as Kurayami, Azazel, and Azrael began to communicate telepathically. They were egging him and acting like children. He ignored his friends as Serafall spoke up.

"You know, I honestly never thought I would get married as I have through the end of the Great War, through the Civil War, and then became a Satan. Not a lot of chances to mingle, but while our ages are far apart, for our people we have time.

Kurayami, would you mind if I began to keep in touch?"

"Of course not."

"Thank you. I will be busy a lot, and so will you once you become Governor General, but such is life."

Azazel smiled.

"Well then, I take things have worked out?"

Serafall and Grayfia nodded. Grayfia even glanced at Walburga who was kicking her legs up.

"While I stay here, I will also teach this girl how to be a real maid."

Walburga looked at her outfit and frowned.

"I am a maid."

Grayfia shook her head with a frown.

"No, at best you are in cosplay."

Kurayami smirked.

"I would appreciate it if you could. If you are staying with us Grayfia, I assure you shall return home as soon as you want."

"I don't think that will be needed. And Sirzechs also has a gift ready for you. He wishes to gift a young Qilin. He said to think of it as a gift to a good relationship."

Kurayami felt a genuine interest in that.

"Tell him I thank him. When we meet up for a real peace talk, we can talk then."

Serafall smiled.

"You know, I think I might stick around for a day or two. Since I got sent here, I got some free time. Also, how does it feel to have the attention of some Devils?"

He smiled.

"You wouldn't be the first. My lover is named Kuroka. She is a former SS class stray Devil."

Serafall heard about it.

"I remember that incident. Once we discovered what went down, we felt it was a shame. Will we get a chance to meet her?"

He nodded.

"Yes. Now then since you are both staying you can stay at my home."

Azazel smiled at Kurayami finally starting to come out of his shell.

"This was a fruitful talk. I hope to have one like it with Michael soon. We can end this pointless war if we do."

Serafall nodded.

"Likewise."

With that, Kurayami teleported himself, Walburga, Serafall and Grayfia.
