'3.3' The feeling is mutual

Before long, my eyes snapped open to the shouts and frantic screams coming from outside the wooden house. I sat up, disoriented, and hopped out of bed. Pain charged through my bones so I slightly staggered backward.

"Oof," I hit my head against the edge of the bed and groaned loudly.

"There you are!" Astrid's voice yelled. She charged over and grabbed my arm, forcing me up and pulling 'till I stood on my feet. "We have a guest and I think they're looking for you," She gritted, holding an arm under my shoulders to assist my frail body.

"Move it." She ordered and pushed forward with me following her moves. Slowly I could feel the drowsiness gradually fade and my mind became clear.

"What's going on?" I asked, gaining control over my leg. "Oh, nothing much, just a couple of dragon hunters, y'know?" Astrid spat, pulling us swifter until I could jog on my own. Roars sounded and a deafening smack made the silence known.

"Astrid!" Hiccup yelled, his dragon landing two paces in front of us, glaring her way. "What are you doing?"

"Getting help." She seethed and pushed me towards Hiccup. "She's one of them. Let her go with,"

Hiccup sighed deeply and held out an arm to me. I hesitated but carefully grasped his hands. The pull motion was strong as he hurled me over Toothless. A grunt escaped my lips when out of the corner of my eye - a flash of white appeared.

" Ugh not again, " Hiccup groaned, looking backward to face the white dragon. "We don't have time- come on Toothless."

Toothless sprung into the air and caught a breeze, bringing us to meet a fair view from below. The dragon gained velocity and dived to the shore with Hiccup leaning down- I followed his action.

Hitting the shore- flecks of sand splattered everywhere- some of them coming into my eye. I quickly rubbed them out with eyes streaming tears.

"There she is!" A familiar call sounded, drawing my attention to look up to four men and a small boat docked in the sand.

Dragon hunters?

I knew they'd search for me- my heart gave a warm flutter at the sight.

Wait.

My mind reeled backward.

If Hiccup is right-

Then I'm wrong.

Obviously. (anyone else hears Snape's voice?... Anyone?)

If Dragon hunters hunt dragons,

And Dragon riders ride dragons-

What does that make me?

If Viggo lied to me this whole time and Hiccup told the truth- I've been on the wrong side my whole life.

Obviously.

Viggo and Ryker never betrayed me, yet they're- we're on the wrong side.

What side am I on?

"Give her back! We've got direct orders from- erm." The soldier stopped, looking to his fellow guards to see if he should continue. The three hastily shook their head.

"-Viggo." He finished with a firm expression. My brows lifted.

Something is off.

"Let me guess, you're here to take her?"

Hiccup scoffed with a sneer.

"Uh- yeah. That's what we just said.." A guard retorted, shuffling sideways uncomfortably.

"Oh-" Hiccup's cheeks gave a faint pink hue as he too, shifted.  "Viggo eh?" I asked, watching the guard carefully.

"Yes-"

"-miss." A soldier from the back finished softly. I nodded, at least one of them really is from Viggo.

Three to go.

Obviously - the three can't be from Viggo because one; they're larger.

Two; red tacky clothes instead of black-ish.

Three; we're about to find out.

"What's my favorite dagger ?"

The frigid faces morphed into one's of horror, knowing that they can't answer the question. It wasn't uncommon for me to 'quarrel' with them- and all very well know my favorite dagger. (This is where 'Dress code' comes in-)

" Miss-"

I took out a regular dagger and aimed at the guard. He stopped, slowly kneeling. His head turned to plead for the others to follow- all except one.

Good Guard.

I praised mentally, nodding his direction. Everyone might as well know I don't like people bowing.

"The one standing- he's one of us-" My legs swung over the side of the dragon and a Snck sound sounded as I touched the sand.

"At least, one of mine." Hiccup looked over at him and then me, shaking his head slowly.

"You can kill the rest," I mused, observing the three guards jump up and draw their swords. The one shuffled about, coming to stand in front of me.

"This one is mine, those-" I pointed to the three soldiers, who had fierce expressions on their faces. "Are most likely Krogan's men."

"How do you-" Hiccup turned around to ask before I cut him off.

"Hey, I know you! You're the one that saved me in the fire!" I exclaimed, looking to the guard for confirmation. He nodded shakily, drawing his sword as well.

I clogged my ears quickly, a sound so sharp came and show it was none other than Destiny.

She roared as her body skidded over the sand when she took landing. Her wings soared and she jumped towards the guards, taking two in her hold and throwing them (more like yeeting them-) into the ocean. A blast emitted from her throat and she launched it to the third soldier.

Destiny snorted with glee but turned around to face the final one.

The exact one protecting me.

The irony is killing me.

In a swift move, I paced forward and placed myself in front of the shaking protector. 'He saved me, I save him.' I argued in my head.

Destiny's stance faltered a bit but nonetheless continued her intimidation trick by growling.

"Woah- Imora, easy. This time we aren't going to be able to stop her." He warned, carefully watching Toothless shifted under him.

' They stopped her from killing me?'

'She really does want me dead.'

'The feeling is now mutual.'

Time slowed down for a few seconds, my eyes watching as Destiny launched herself at me- wings outstretched and claws ready. I could feel myself slowly pull out a dagger from my back and aim it at her chest.

Time moved slower, now, I knew it didn't really.

I just didn't know the cause of my actions.

Or did I just hit my head too hard?

'A fool is a fool.'
