Life Of A Young Author

Klein, a high schooler who has been locking himself in his room ever since he lost his best friend. His mother never bothered pushing him to go to school. Since he had nothing to do, he started writing novels online. He got a lot of 5 stars reviews but somehow his book is never 5 stars! He needs to look for the comment with no 5 stars! He continued writing until his fifth book was published online. Suddenly, a reader of his reaches out to him and wishes him luck with his new book. It was normal to him but when he checked the person’s account, he saw their past comments. Turns out they had commented a lot on his book and he reads every comment written by them. He was shocked to find the person pointing out his mistake and their opinion on his book. Not a full 5 stars review! Never once he felt hurt by review until this person appears. K: Do you mind if I offer you to be my assistant. K.DMed.ME: O.O? And that...is how Klein made his first friend. ~ Warning: Contain(s): slight bl Not so good English triggering topics ~ Criticism are welcome in the comment section!

"Hey Klein!"

Klein ignored the juniors who were calling out for him. It's obvious those people are part of the twins' fanclub. Ignored by Klein is definitely not going to make them happy so they take a bottle of cola that one of them drank and throw it at Klein.

"Littering. I will have to give you a demerit."

They all line up in shock when Jamie appears behind them. Not only Jamie but also Louis is standing next to him, glaring at the juniors. Klein is standing still at the same spot, waiting for the cola to stop dripping before looking for a water pipe nearby.

"Do you have an extra uniform or gym uniform?"

He looked to the side while washing his hair and saw Edward. Turns out he does care about the sleepyhead who's getting bullied. Klein turned the tap and saw Han who appeared from behind Edward with a towel.

"I have both. I can change later."

"Good and the twins just explain everything on the school website. They said it's just a misunderstanding and you didn't bully them. They just fall on their own."

'That…it's wrong on the last part.'

Klein changed into his extra uniform and went to his classroom to continue his sleeping. A new face entered the class and he pointed his hand at the class president. The class president nervously stands up and signs everyone to greet the guy.

Klein is aware if a teacher enters so he follows them and greets the guy. Turns out he's replacing their old teacher who transferred to another school. They didn't know that. Guess that, their teacher doesn't want to tell her students that she's leaving. It's either a good thing or a bad thing for her, no one knows.

"Hello everyone. My name is Mr Kris. I will be your homeroom teacher from now on and well, we will have to set up some rules, don't you think so?"

"Yes…"

"Number one, make sure you answer me with more energy."

"...

YES SIR!"

Klein was startled because of his classmates' sudden energetic scream. Then, he saw Mr Kris look at him with a serious face. If the next rule is about him, he will make sure to run away from this school.

"No using electronics such as phones, laptops or MP3 while in class. I don't care if you even got permission. You guys will hand me your electronics before class start and get it after school."

"I knew I shouldn't have attended school."

"Next, no sleeping in class."

Klein looks down, feeling lifeless. This is definitely god trying to punish him. Fine, he accepted the defeat.

"Also, you will have to work hard to pass every exam. The minimum mark I want you guys to get is 50. Break any of these rules, I will expel you."

"YES SIR!"

The teacher puts a basket in front of his table and one by one, starts to bring their electronics to the front. Klein is the last person since he had a lot of electronics. He had to bring his bags and he put his laptop, phone and headphones in.

"Is there more, Mr Klein?"

"..."

He put his MP3 and earphone inside but the teacher still gave him a stare.

"...Sir. I can't give you anything else. That's all I have."

"Alright. Take your seat."

Klein sat down and tried to pull out his small earbuds that can cover his ears from noises so that he can sleep.

"Mr Klein! Put that in the basket too."

"...Yes sir."

~

"Thank you sir!"

Everyone starts to grab their electronics and leave the class. Klein put his stuff one by one in his bag before glancing back at his teacher. His teacher seems to be focusing on reading a novel that seems familiar to him. This makes him speechless.

'...Nah. No way. The world must be playing around with me right. How can a grown man like War Hero.'

"Something's wrong, Mr Klein?"

"Ah, no sir. Nice book. I'll get going."

Before he could go, the teacher threw something and he quickly caught it. Ah right, his earbuds. He bowed down and walked out. Today…is weird. He walks out and bumps into his friends with the twins pampering Louis with chocolate and food…

Talk about being lucky.

"You're late today?"

"We have a new teacher."

Jamie looks up from his book and looks a bit excited. Well, can't really tell because he makes the same bored face as Klein even when he's hungry.

"The new teacher was a top student from this school. He just started his first day here and you're lucky to be taught by him."

"I think you meant to say unlucky."

They walk together but the twins seem to be staring intensely at Klein that everyone in the group even catches them doing so. They start to question whether the twins actually like Louis or Klein.

Klein finally reaches his house and starts to write a new chapter. Honestly, the class today is more tiring than before so he's kind of having no motivation to write a new chapter. If only he can write in cat's language.

"All I have to write is probably meow, meow.

Meow, meow, meow.

Meow?"

Well, he can't do that so he just asks for Han to give him motivation. Bad idea because Han gave him a novel to read for motivation and he spent his entire evening reading it instead. Well, screw having this kind of assistant, maybe he should hire a new one.

"Klein! I am home!"

"...? Dad?" He said before opening his door.

"What? No. It's me. Your mom?"

"Well, I was joking. You are home early today?"

His mother put the stuff she had on the table and pulled out a book. Well, this also makes him speechless. Again. His mother is showing the exact same book his teacher holds just now. The novel, not web novel but novel, version of his successful book, War Hero.

"Mom, did this book go viral suddenly? Why did you buy it?"

"Ah, someone gave it to me! You like reading so I thought you would love to read it."

"Mom, who's the writer?"

"Oh um…K? Oh."

The realisation hits her when she finds out it's the novel that her son write.
