Ch-5 [2008]

Before the boy could say his name,Shi Yang called out"He is Shen Liu,he is 5 years old this December.He lives in the orphanage near our building"Liu Cheng looked at Shi Yang and then at the boy before starting to putting down his hand that was still in air,but as he was about to put down his hand,a little hand emerge in his hand. he looked for the owner of the hand,it was the boy's hand and he was looking down at the ground and said"Nice to meet you". Liu Cheng was happy to get a handshake so he said"Nice to meet you too,Shen Liu". There was this sweet awkard feeling between them.It was awkard but both felt quite comfortable with it.Shi Yang then screamed" If you two are done,lets run because we will be getting late".As she said that,the three of them walked to their school.

As they reached for school,the school seemed to have started so they make a run for it.As they were entering class,a voice stopped them" Those people who are late for class at the first day of school are not good kids"The three of them stopped their steps before turning towards the teacher. The teacher started to scold them "You should not ------ when Shi Yang spoke "Teacher,actually my stomach was in pain in the morning,so my parents took me to the pharmacy.These two were waiting for as they were worried for me".Hearing this,Liu Cheng was a little suprised as she was quite well this morning though,he gave a glance at Shi Yang's direction when he noticed Shi Yang was mouthing something to him,it seemed like 'back me up quickly'. Liu Cheng was a smart kid so he caught the hint and said to the teacher"Teacher,she is right we were very worried about her,we were so worried that we haven't even eaten our breakfast,after she came from the pharmacy,we ran straight for the school". After hearing this,the teacher heart seemed to have melted a bit but she still asked"Lulu,tell me was this really the matter my child".Shen Liu looked at the teacher then at Shi Yang before looking at Cheng Liu,he replied" Sorry,teacher". The teacher took it as a affirmation that they were speaking the truth so she replied"its okay,now go take a seat". Then the three turned to walked to their seats,Liu looked towards Shi Yang as she gave him a wink and a victorius smile as she whispered in his ear"Shen Liu is the bright student of our class so teacher believes his words" Then Liu Cheng saw Shen Liu,but he wasn't looking at him and Shen Liu seemed a little sad too.He figured out that Shi Yang seems to be using him as her shield from the teachers.He felt a bit bad for Shen Liu.

After class ended,Liu Cheng packed his belongings in his bag and started walking towards the door when she heard"Liu-ge,wait for me" and then she turned to Shen Liu saying" Lui,let's go".Liu Cheng thought about how Shi Yang still had the guts to talk to Shen Liu after using him,he predicted a rude reply from Shen Liu but that rude words never reached his ear as he hears Shen Liu replying "I am coming" with a smile that seemed quite kind.
