2 Chronicles of Mana: Unveiling Destiny

Petra Handerson is the son of a farmer in a small region in Ireland. He is a slightly gloomy figure when alone but very active and cheerful when with his childhood friend, Sara.

His appearance consists of messy brown hair, bright gray eyes resembling forged iron, and a body that is quite tall for a 10-year-old child. Petra always wears simple clothes made from faded dark brown cotton cloth.

The process of transferring Hiroaki to Petra's body was successful, but not completely as expected. Even though Hiroaki managed to enter Petra's body, he couldn't immediately take full control. It was as if he had to wait for the right time for his memories to return.

The purpose of ROB in giving Petra "5 years of safety" is so that Hiroaki's memories can be sealed, and so that Petra can adapt to Hiroaki's new soul. This process takes time, and sometimes their memories overlap, making Petra look like he is suffering from amnesia.

Petra experiences deep confusion when Hiroaki begins to appear in his memories. The strange and unknown sensation makes him feel like two souls are fighting for control of one body. However, he chooses to trust the process that is taking place, believing that with time, everything will become clear.

And Petra experiences peace without serious conflict for five years, making him a handsome teenager. One day, a month after his 15th birthday, Petra is busy plowing the fields with the horse his parents own. In their village, agricultural land is limited, and as a responsible teenager, Petra is assigned by his parents to help plant wheat and improve the family's economy, which is experiencing difficulties.

While Petra is in the field, he suddenly feels a sharp dizziness in his head. His vision becomes blurry, and suddenly he loses control of the horse he is controlling. The horse, accustomed to Petra's stability and skill, becomes agitated and rebels, causing Petra to stagger and eventually fall off its back.

Petra's body slams into the ground hard, his head hit by the strong impact. As the world spins around him, Petra feels a sharp pain and momentarily loses consciousness.

When Petra finally regains consciousness, he feels dizzy and shaken. He opens his eyes with difficulty, looking around to find out what has happened. His whole body aches, and there is a dizziness that won't go away in his head.

Petra gets up slowly, trying to gather his strength. He feels his aching head, trying to overcome the dizziness that is still bothering him.

"I remember, Hiroaki… It was me!" Suddenly, lost memories flood Petra's mind again, causing his head to throb with a sharp feeling of dizziness.

However, even though the dizziness is bothering him, Petra still tries to stay calm. After a few moments of fighting against the dizziness that hits him, he finally manages to overcome the sensation that is bothering him. With ragged breaths, he begins to try to reprocess his long-lost memories.

Suddenly, a deep understanding strikes Petra, making his face pale. "Damn, ROB sent me to the distant past of the main canon!" he thinks with anxiety and confusion.

Petra is devastated by the realization that he is actually Hiroaki, who had been sent into the past by ROB. Now, he realizes that his life for the past five years has taken place in a different time and in a world where he doesn't belong.

When his hand touches his head because of the itching, Petra feels something strange. The pain he had been suffering from suddenly disappears, leaving him in deep confusion. It feels like something unusual is happening inside him.

Impatient to find out what happened, Petra immediately checks the part of his head that previously felt painful. However, when he checks the wound that should have been there, he is shocked to find that it has disappeared without a trace.

Unbelievable, Petra feels the back of his head once again, looking for the scar that had previously been there. However, the results are completely different. No signs of injury or pain are felt. Petra falls silent, feeling confusion and wonder creep into his mind.

His memory suddenly focuses on the conversation with ROB. "A body that is always in top condition." What does ROB mean by high-speed regeneration?

Petra begins to realize that the three aids promised by ROB have materialized for him. His "body that is always in tip-top shape" turns out to be pseudo-immortality, giving him unlimited protection against injury and disease. Then, "Removing all limitations" allowed him to develop endlessly, unhindered by physical or mental limitations. And the last one, the "Large magic pool," gave him access to abundant magic energy as starting capital.

Even though Petra feels grateful for the help he received, a feeling of disappointment also creeps into his heart. He imagined that he could obtain a Sacred Gear or the power of a demonic Bloodline, but in reality, the world in which he lived is still filled with great wars between supernatural beings. His hopes of gaining such great power vanished amid less than ideal circumstances.

Petra feels trapped at the crossroads between his personal desires and his parents' expectations. Although his parents wanted him to continue the family farming tradition, Petra felt that his life had a greater purpose than being a farmer. He wants to find freedom and the true meaning of life, and he knows that his path does not pass through farmland.

However, to achieve the freedom he desires, Petra also realizes that he must ensure that his parents are safe and protected economically. That is his obligation and responsibility as a child. However, the question that haunts him is how he will achieve that?

After much thought, Petra finally comes up with an idea. "That's right, Magic! With magic, I can make it happen!" he thinks with excitement growing inside him.

However, the next question is where he could learn magic in this remote residence? Petra realizes that finding resources to learn magic can be a challenge, but he won't just give up.

Many years have passed since Petra regained his memory. Currently, he has managed to learn magic from an old man he met in the forest near his village. With enthusiasm, Petra makes magic his main strength in facing supernatural dangers that may come to him in the future.

Armed with the basic knowledge of magic that he learned and modern knowledge from Hiroaki's memories, Petra begins to explore and develop new theories that combine elements of magic and science. He realizes that there is a lot of unrevealed potential in combining these two fields.

Until finally, at the age of 25, Petra feels he has achieved enlightenment on one of his most important theories. He calls this theory "Mana Metamorphosis." This concept is a further development of the understanding of how someone utilizes their mana or magic by imitating the Metamorphosis process that occurs in insects, but in a form that is applied to humans.

In his secret place, Petra tries to apply his theory about Mana Metamorphosis. With strong determination, he gathers Mana from the air around him to form a cocoon of magical energy that surrounds his body. This process works, but leaves him trapped inside for quite a while.

Petra realizes that he will have to stay in that state for the next year for the experiment to be completely successful. As a result, people in his village, including Sara and his parents, think he has disappeared. They start to forget his existence and continue their lives without Petra.

However, even though Petra has to hide himself from the outside world, he doesn't forget the people closest to him so easily. Before starting his experiment, Petra has provided sufficient protection and given some money to his parents so that they can survive without his presence. He promises to send more money if he can meet them again in the future.

Meanwhile, regarding Sara, Petra realizes the feelings that had developed between them in childhood. However, he also understands that life in this era is very difficult, and he doesn't want to be a burden on Sara. Because of this, Petra reluctantly gives up on Sara to find her happiness with someone else. He is confident that Sara will find true love in the future, and he only wishes the best for his childhood friend.

With a heavy heart but strong determination, Petra continues his journey in his magical cocoon, preparing to face whatever may await him in the future after one year has passed.
