31 Chapter-31: Popular Gia

Gia had a really enjoyable life these days. This started during her summer holidays, when her brother started his new hobby, which is writing. He changed from a person who likes to be alone to a person who likes to play with her and spent time with her, and she loved the change.

She was really excited that day when he promised to take her to her favorite shop for a treat, but she learned that he was thinking of writing that day. He might have told their mom afterwards about the novel, but she heard his whisper on trying to write his own novel.

At first, Gia thought that it was going to be something that would not interest her, as she is the only 6 years old in the house, but she was proved wrong, and she loved it.

Gia lived happily from that day, listening to her brother, Jimmy, telling her a new story or his novel every day. He even told her others that he wrote or knows, changing them a bit and making them more interesting for her, and he seems to know what she will like or what she might not. Well, she is his sister; how can he not.

The days passed as he suddenly created a game for fun. He wanted to try creating a game this summer also, and when she tried it, she also liked the game. Slowly, slowly, Jim was becoming her idol, but she won't say to him. Well, how can she demand anything from him if he knew about it?

Gia tried the game afterward with everybody. Yes, everybody because Jim cared about everyone who was included. She knew that he included only those who were close to their family of three, and this time, even if she is a kid to others, Gia didn't feel excluded as Jim listened to her review.

She thought to herself proudly, 'Now I know how to say a review, heh.' Well, so Gia noticed that he listened even to her, and she felt good.

Her days were passing happily, and then Jim created his new work, a novel and showed her; she really liked it. She even heard him say that if it got famous, then he would get to create a movie out of it, and she was excited about it.

She enjoyed his novel, listening to it through his mouth, and she really liked it. Nobody told her that Jimmy changed it a bit to make it enjoyable for her, but she knew when she saw how he was telling some things differently or cutting out some things from the story. But she didn't complain because she doesn't like sad stories too much, but regardless, she liked this one.

However, all this excitement came to a halt when someone tried to bully Jimmy by giving his novel a 1-star review.

Gia was angry; to say angry would also be an understatement—she was fuming. But her mommy didn't let her find that guy and beat him. Gia even researched WWE for 4 straight days to know how to beat a person to give that bad bully a good beating.

One day she was going through the reviews, and because she knows that some are not visible to her as a kid, and kids don't get to read bad things on the website, but she felt bad because if a review is hidden from her, that means it has bad things written in it.

It was when she saw someone writing praise for the novel, to be more specific, for the novel Jimmy wrote. Thus, she couldn't stop herself from commenting with a reply.

Angel Gia1: Of course, my Jim-Jim is the most amazing. But, he was sad because of that 1 star review. Hmph, I will go and beat that guy, but I don't know where he is.

After this reply, she also got a reply back, and she liked the person saying that this was a nice story, so she talked more. Without knowing how much long chat she had with them, she left that comment. She noticed afterward that her name was changing color, and she even had a frame around her profile pic.

At first, Gia thought it was something common, but she noticed afterward that it was only for her and some counted people, but except for her, many were writers, and some were readers who had at least a thousand likes on their every comment.

Gia went to the novel again, and this time the review she chatted on with everyone was in the number one spot, and it was gaining likes more quickly than the bad guy's review.

She went inside it again and saw her comment had at least 70k likes, and she noticed her comments about how good the novel was had many people agreeing with it. She felt happy about that.

She also saw that because of that bully's review, Jimmy didn't get a good ranking in the profile voting, which was to choose the most popular person in the entire competition. The person could be a reader or a writer too. Right now, she saw she was in the 5th rank.

She was happy and went to her mother to tell her that she was liked by so many people. She didn't know exactly how many, but Jimmy, who was at 504 rank, said that he had been liked by at least 200,000 people to reach there.

After getting downstairs Gia went to the living room listening to the sound of Television.

"Mommy, mommy, look," said Gia as she showed her phone to her mom, who was watching a movie on the TV.

Ava, who was sitting there, saw Gia looking excited and running to her with her cute run, smiled, and saw Gia showing her something on her phone.

Ava looked at it first, not understanding the screen, and asked, "So, why is my Gia so happy? Did she get something nice to show her mommy?"

When Gia saw that her mom didn't understand, she frowned, and after a few seconds, whispered dramatically to herself, 'Hmph, I need to tell everything myself. Haah, how much work they are going to give this small life of mine,' at which Ava raised an eyebrow and smiled, looking at the performance.

"I am also in the Competition ranking, hehehe. I am more liked than Jimmy," exclaimed Gia loudly as she looked excitedly at her mother to hear her response.

"What?" Ava uttered, confused, as she tried to piece together the words her daughter said. She looked at the screen, understanding now what Gia meant but still confused about how she reached there.

For a second, Ava waited for Gia to say something, but she didn't. After looking at Gia's face, it seemed like she wanted her to praise her.

Ava first smiled and told her daughter, "Well, Gia is the cutest, so of course, she will be more liked than her brother." She then picked up Gia, who was beaming with happiness at the praise, and asked her the million-dollar question, "So, how did my Gia get so popular?"

"Ah, that was because of my comment in Jimmy's novel. Everyone who thought I was correct, that writer who bullied Jim was wrong, liked me, hehehe," happily told Gia. But talking about that bully, even she narrowed her eyes with a cute frown on her face.

"Oh," said Ava, and there was a 5-minute pause as she opened the novel's page. She exclaimed, "What!" as she first filtered out Gia's explanation, thinking it wasn't a big thing. However, after she opened the novel's page and checking the 1st review, which was different from previous 1-star fake review of that writer and this one had five times more likes than the 1-star one.

Ava felt a little happy and opened the review. Seeing the chat below the review, she finally got the gist of it and felt a little demotivated because she had to do so much work, but Gia's one comment changed the novel's ranking quite a bit. However, she was happy at the fact that the novel is back on track.

She might have added Gia before if she knew this might help in the situation, but she is content with the outcome either way. Her efforts for the novel were also there, so she has fulfilled her promise to support and protect her son from anything that tries to harm him. She will continue to do this in the future for her children.

Ava thought for a second and told Gia, "Let's wait for the weekend and then tell your brother," and looked at her for a reaction.

Gia looked a little down because she wouldn't be able to show off in front of Jimmy about her being liked more, and even get him to praise her. She asked with a small frown and an upset look, "But why?"

Ava thought for a second and knew Gia might blurt it out if she just used surprise as a way, so she created an excuse and told her, "Well, by the weekend, you might go to the top 3 or even the 1st position. Wouldn't it be more exciting to tell Jimmy then?" Ava stopped for Gia to process and proceeded to say more.

"And, we can even surprise him with a party. Think about all the candies Jimmy will buy you for helping him," and every word Ava said reflected in the shine coming out of Gia's eyes as she started giggling evilly, "hehehe hehehe."

"Okay, mommy. We will wait until the weekend for Jimmy," said Gia with a big smile, as if the disappointment she showed was just a dream of Ava.

Then Gia's face turned in confusion as she asked, "But what did I help Jimmy with?" as she thought of the sentence Ava said to her just now.

Ava smiled looking at Gia, who didn't even realize that she had helped her brother, and said, "Well, because of Gia, Jimmy's novel is being read by more people. Didn't your friend in that review tell you that she will help you? Well, it was because of Gia that she is also helping," explained Ava to Gia.

Ava saw Gia look enlightened and excited after hearing that and said further, "that's why we will tell Jimmy at the new house on the weekend as a surprise."

Ava thought of telling this good news to her friends and messaged them in the chat. She was going to further explain the scenario, but the doorbell rang, and Jimmy's voice came that he arrived from outside.

These days Jimmy was decorating the new house with Phil and Haley's help, with the direction provided by both Claire and her.

"Mom, I am home," shouted Jimmy when he entered the home. He walked only a few steps, and a missile came from the living room and stuck him in the stomach as it called out, "Jimmy!" Gia hugged him.

Gia looked quite happy, so he asked her, "What happened? My Giu seems to be quite happy today," with a smile on his face, looking at the little bundle of joy who was showing her teeth to him as she fell into his embrace.

"Hehehe, I am happy," said Gia without explaining the matter, as she had just promised her mother not to share it with Jim until the weekend. But her happiness at helping her brother couldn't not be shared.

"Well, you are back," said Ava as she followed Gia out and looked at Jimmy's expression, not getting the answer from Gia. She explained, "Well, we were planning a gathering in the new house and inviting Claire and her family and my friends. So, she was quite excited for it," as she wanted to surprise Jim with the news and used the small gathering as an excuse.

The gathering would be held at their new house, which Jimmy bought for the shoot but now has become a place for his friends to stay if they ever visit their community.

"Oh," replied Jim, understanding Gia's joy, as she is an active girl who likes these gatherings quite a bit. After this, they all had their dinner, and the last day before the gathering came with Jim going to his school for the last day of the week.
