These Life Blood Cultivators are called Floor Guardians.

The role of these Floor Guardians was to help the younger generation of their family and also, they had to try their best to get the special resources or treasures that emerged on their floor.

Just like the Elite Families, the Royal Family, as the most powerful family in Silvoria, obviously wants to control the Celestial World Tree.

So, they also created a position called Royal Guardians and appointed them on each floor.

That's not it. 

These Royal Guardians are bestowed with a Rank 3 Royal Beast that has the strength of a Life Blood Captain; however, beasts are naturally more powerful than the Life Blood Cultivators of the same rank.

In short, when a Royal Guardian and the Royal Beast appear, it is almost impossible to get a treasure.
