CH.5. A MURDER?

CURRENT TIME:-8:30.

"where is our teacher?", Min-Ah lazily leans on her desk.

" I heard the director got sick!", Yong Soo turns his seat towards her.

"ah!! it's boring!!", she whines.

" ya!! Min-ah!", a girl with loosely braided hair pulls her chair beside her.

"What is it?", she answers lazily leaning to face her.

" Did you listen? Kim Jong Tae's new music?", the girl leans on her chair excitedly.

Min-ah stands straight and faces her with excitement, "mm..m...I listened to it!", her eyes sparkling.

" it's too good. right?", the girl's eyes sparkle.

"ahh!!! It's really really good!! I couldn't stop listening to it all night!", she smiles.

" right?". The girl grins with her baby fats accumulating around her flushed cheeks.

"tch...bored? my, a**!", Yong Soo sneers at the two girls and turns back to face the front.

" ya! Ji-woo? want to hit the karaoke later?", Min-Ah looks at her best friend excitedly.

"shall we? Tae's new song?", she smiles and

Min-ah nods.

The siren noise fills the class as it nears the school premises.

" What is it?". Min-ah jumps from her seat and looks down the window. Her other classmates join her.

"Is it an ambulance?".

" Director? Is he dead?".

"Ya! what are you talking about!", Ji-woo sneers from behind.

" They are coming! coming!".

The students shift to the window frames of the hallway.

"Ohh!! they are going up!!", Yong Soo sticks his face on the glass and smiles excitedly.

Min-ah pats him on his shoulders," Ya! we can see that too!".

The white-dressed person's all climb up the stairs with the empty stretcher.

"They are going to bring the director in that, right?", Ji-woo asks stretching her neck to catch the view.

"mm...!".

" woah!! it will be hard to carry him! also down the stairs", Yong Soo exclaims with a laugh.

"Right? he must be heavy with that body!", she laughs.

The whitely dressed person had gone for a few minutes.

The students all were faced along the window awaiting to catch a glimpse of their director's heavy body on the stretcher.

Their faces filled with curiosity and excitement.

" Ahhhh!"

A scream echoes in the hallway.

"What is that?", Min-Ah looks at her friends as

they stand startled.

" Is it coming from above the class or from the director's floor?", Yong Soo looks around.

Ji-woo shakes her head.

The floor above them soon gets filled with noises.

"What is going on?".

Ji-woo climbs on a chair and slides the window open.

She looks outside when a bunch of students runs downstairs from above.

" Ya!!!", She calls out to them.

"What! What is it?", Min-ah asks bringing herself a chair.

Young Soo also climbs on a chair and looks outside," oh! is it a holiday?", he peeks excitedly.

"What are you talking about? we weren't informed though!", a tall tough looking guy joins him on the chair.

"Then where are they going to", Yong Soo looks at the guy beside him who shakes his head with denial.

" Ya!! Where are you going?", Min-ah shouts at the top of her voice, only to be unheard, "Ya!! Ya!!!!!".

" They aren't listening!!", she whines.

"Should we go outside and have a look?", Yong Soo looks at his friends.

" Okay!!".

They jump down from the chairs and open the door.

"What about the others?", She looks inside at the bunch of students watching them leave.

" Ya!! Il-Song, aren't you coming", Yong Soo looks at the guy standing on his chair.

"No! You guys go first!", He gestures to them.

" Tch...why are you asking the delinquent?", Min-Ah sneers.

They rush to the thinning crowd.

"Why are they in a rush?", Min-ah steps forward and looks at the crowd.

She finds a familiar face and stops her," Oh! Bi-ah? ".

The girl looks at her terrified.

" What happened? Why are you rushing?",

She asks concerned looking at her terrified face.

She looks upstairs once and then at the whole class that was now outside to classroom witnessing them.

"Ya!! ya!! Run! fast!", She taps her hand anxiously.

" Why? Why? Dan Bi? what is it?", she holds her hands tightly.

The students come rushing down, pushing each other.

"A man.....", she shutters.

" Yeah! a man?".

"A man was dead....Bl..o...od..! I saw blood! That dead person killed another person", she says terrified.

" What? murder?", She asks confused with her words and looking at her friends who had their faces in surprise.

"N..o..! I don't know...!", her voice cracks within the tears, "For now! Run!!....", she stumbles, "Or else they will kill us too!". She wipes her falling tears and gestures for them to come.

"let's go! we will be left behind!", she pulls Min- ah's hand who stood in awe.

" No! no! let's get back to the classroom for now! teachers will come and solve this!", Min-Ah assures her friend stopping her from going downstairs.

"No! the teacher too, everyone will be dead!", she shouts.

The students standing far away come closer.

" What do you mean?", one of the students asks from afar, nearing them.

"Teacher Choi too, He....killed a student...I saw it with my own two eyes."

"Our Teacher?", the crowd of students gets larger with the company of the class-B students.

The crowd gets thinner with only a few students rushing downstairs stumbling to their feet with a terrified look on their faces.

Dan Bi looks behind the thinking crowd as her face gets more terrified.

"Aisshhh! I don't know! I don't want to die!", Dan Bi leaves them behind and rushes downstairs.

" Ya!! Bi...", Min Ah's words hang aloof as Dan Bi gets out of her sight within the crowd.

" Ya! what does that mean?", The students panic.

"no! no! don't panic! for now, let's get back to our classroom!", Min Ah turns to them and assures them.

" Didn't you hear? Do you want us to die?", one of them speaks up.

"No!!!". She takes a deep breath, "we even don't know if it is safe outside the school too, So.....", her words get cut off as a student pushes her aside, "whatever, for now, I am going to leave!".

He rushes downstairs.

The other students start to follow one by one.

"ya!!", Min-Ah tries to stop them but goes in vain.

The crowd thins down to a few.

" What do we do now?", Yong So looks at the few students standing behind.

"Let's go to the class!".

They turn to leave when...

THUD!!!

Something falls hard on the ground.

The figures turn slowly to grasp a look.

A glimpse of horror passes through their faces.
