"Don't tell me that is the reason for all this drama here", I said with a scowl facing her down.

"You can have Asher, I couldn't care less", I growled as I grabbed Steph's hand, pushed past Tasha and stalked out of the restaurant.

I didn't stop till we reached Steph's Camero and piled inside, then I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

"Wow, that was total badass. Like serious badass. OMG!!!!!", Steph squealed and burst out laughing and the next thing I found myself laughing alongside her.

That felt good, standing up for myself felt good.

Immediately I made a decision not to let the stupid popularity ladder in Hamilton ruin my plans .

After all I had faced worse. What was a bunch of rich, privileged, spoilt, snotty high school brats compared to that.

"I didn't know you would not be returning straight home after school", Lilah said as I walked into the kitchen on my way upstairs.

"Oh, I told Blake that I would catch a ride with a friend and we stopped by to get ice-cream. I hope that wasn't a problem", I asked fiddling with my fingers.

I was relatively calm, I had popped a pill earlier at school, so there was no fidgeting or blurring of my vision from withdrawals. Actually I felt better than I had in a while.

"No, no. I am actually glad you're settling in and making new friends"Lilah said with a genuine and happy smile and I found myself smiling back.

"Go up and freshen up, we will talk all about your first day in school over lunch, okay? I'll tell Rosetta to heat up your food for when you come down" Lilah patted my head warmly.

"I am not really hungry" I muttered .

"Oh, why?" Lilah asked, her tone dissapointed.

" I had grabbed something to eat when I hung out with my friend earlier" I told her feeling somewhat guilty.

"Oh, no problem then, you should go freshen up, we could talk at dinner or something ". Lilah replied with a smile .

I gave a curt nod and walked away

As I walked upstairs to my room my eyes glancing around seraching for Blake.

I heaved a sigh of relief when I closed the door behind me and rested on the door.

Dropping my bag I plopped on the bed suddenly very tired and not looking forward to ever leaving the confines of the room.

Eventually I stood up and freshened up changing into a faded band shirt and shorts.

I popped in some pills and dry swallowed it, too lazy to go downstairs to get water and not bothered to interact with anyone.

I laid on my bed when suddenly I heard a chime from my phone. Confused, I picked it up and saw I had been added to a chat box.

I saw a message from Steph and a smile escaped my lips.

I laughed again, as both of them kept on tagging me continuously as I pressed the leave chat button and went offline.

My eyes were already so heavy, I felt myself drifting off into sleep.

"Mum, mum, I really don't want to go " I grabbed my mum's hand as she pulled me into one of the rooms to go 'help the uncle out' as she had been doing since I turned 11.

" Shut up!, Shut up ! For once and do as you're told, you indolent girl " My mum screamed as she smacked me across my face and I fell to the floor.

"Your mother gave you to me, she's not coming, noone is coming, the faster you comply, the easier this would go. I promise not to hurt you" Mr Magnus said as he pushed me to the bed holding me down as I squirmed and struggled to get out of his grasp

He ripped my gown leaving me clad to his eyes and his hungry gaze roamed round my body
