Chapter1

Janey's P.O.V

Me and My Bestfriend Gabe have been together ever since middle school. We have known eachother over 20 years now.

We both decided to move to L.A together to pursue our studies. We made this decision because we both have always wanted to move there. he wanted to pursue buisness and I just wanted to get my AA degee until I decided on what my true passion was.

We both graduated from college and got our Degrees. So Gabe took up a job as a successful businessman. He Usually worked late nights. I was an Office Assistant at a successful Law firm in L.A. We are currently rooming together in Urban Loft. We both had only weekends off from work.

So this very day was Saturday and Gabe invited me to a Masquerade Party he had been invited to by his employer and they were in agreement that it was okay to bring someone with him. So now here I am getting ready for this Fancy party with Gabe. He better be glad I love him so much or I would have passed on it. I am tomboy I don't like that type of scene where women have to dress up.

I decided to put that thinking behind me just for tonight for him in hopes that he will enjoy himself. I went into my bathroom and took a shower and put on the dress and the heels he bought me. The dress with leg splits on both sides. It was a bit flashy it was black and very form fitting with a lined pattern of diamond jewels and a medium sized round Emblem with a black diamond in the center of the dress where my breast indentation was.

The heels were five inches and they were black laced with diamonds up my legs. I Let down my Long, deep brown hair. I went to his room and knocked on his door. he opened the door and began to glare at me with a shocked expression.

"How do I look" I asked him.

"Wow you look... Great" he said still sounding a bit baffled.

"I've never dressed up this Fancy for anything and you know"... before I could say anything else he cut me off and said.

"If you didn't Love me so much" he said with a grin on his face.

"Right Bestfriend" I said.

He then told me to wait for him as he shut his door back and finished getting dressed. The Party was going to start at

9pm. The time was drawing near when Gabe exited his room dressed in a black Suave Tuxedo showing off his sexy Muscular form rocking a Golden Rolex, with his handsome face and that nicely cut goatee and slicked back medium cut. My Bestfriend looked so Gorgeously Handsome.

Gabe's P.O.V

I walked over to Janey and I just remembered three more items that came with her dress. I went back to my room to fetch them. I put on my eye mask and came back out locking the door behind me. I told her to hold out both her hands. She did as she was told and I put on her some medium length gloves with diamond jewels laced on both her wrists.

I Placed an eye mask on her face. And a flower hair pin in her hair. Then I took her hand and escorted her to my car. opened the door and allowed her to get in closing it once she got in.

I then got in, closed my door and took off we made it to the party 5 minutes before schedule. we talked and laughed for that remainder of time about our funny past time memories. I took her arm in mine as we walked up to the entrance of the Large Mansion. There was a guard checking for Invitations.

I gave the guard mine and we were allowed enter. It indeed was an interesting site to behold with all the statues and old medieval vibe it was putting off. I found Janey and I a table to sit at. I told her to take a seat while I found my boss and would join her again soon.

Janey's P.O.V

Here I am sitting alone waiting for my best friend to return. I knew this party was going to be boring. I saw a waiter headed my way with a tray of a few glasses of Champagne when he came close to me I took a glass off his tray and began to take a sip. The music that was playing was midevil custom for couples.

I looked over and caught a glimpse of the women gliding elegantly over the dance floor dressed in beautiful Masquerade dresses. you're probably wondering if I was jealous. No I was actually a bit intrigued as to how often they hold these types of events. I continued sipping from my wine glass when I began to notice a gorgeous male figure coming my way.

Stranger - Is this seat taken?

Janey - Not for the moment. May I ask what such a handsome stranger like yourself would want with me.

He took a seat across from me.

Janey - Let me guess you want to ask me something. about someone you think I'm Acquainted with.

the stranger looked shocked as if I had just read him like a book. I then began to study the make of his face that looked identical to this Famous Kpop Group I had fallen in Love with through the

years.

Janey - Shouldn't you be with the group on tour or something.

Stranger - I'm sorry mam I don't quite know what you mean.

I give him a slite high nod signaling him to lean in closer. he read my signal and did so as I joined him glacing into his eyes. I aimed my head to the right side of his face until my lips were near his ear. I whispered into his ear.

Janey - You look like JK from Bangtan.

We went back to our original positions.

Stranger - You aren't the first one to say that. Though I don't know this JK.

Janey - Wow you must really live under a rock who doesn't know Bangtan.

The stranger disregarded my comment by asking me more questions.

Stranger - How would you know how I look when I am wearing and eye mask?.

Janey - That mask leaves no thought for the imagination sweetheart.

Stranger - How did you know I was going to ask you something. I could have just come over to flirt.

Janey - A gorgeous man like you, I doubt it. Lets Just say I have a strong Women's intuition.

Stranger's P.O.V

I can't believe she doesn't think she is beautiful . She is indeed right I did plan to ask her some Questions.

Stranger - Would you happen to know this man named Rogen?

Janey - Before I answer anymore questions I need to at least know who I am talking to. I'm sure you have a name.

Stranger - Oh right How rude of me I'm Jaycee FBI agent.

He offered his hand I took it and introduced myself and shook it.

Janey - Janey and Likewise. To answer your question I don't know this man but considering the FBI is searching for him he must be a bad ...

Jaycee - Yeah he is rumored to be the most ruthless Mafia King In L.A.

Janey - Yeah he sounds like bad ass.

Jaycee - I'm sensing some liking bad guy vibes.

Janey - Wow you must think I'm a complete ass whole.

Jaycee - Oh no Absolutely not. What made you think that.

Janey - You just said you think I like ruthless bad guys.

Jaycee - No I said you like bad guys I didn't say ruthless.

Janey - Wait you right.

How could I think of such a beautiful Woman in such a way. I don't understand her.

Meanwhile meeting room inside the Mansion.

Rogen's Mafia Crew seated along with a former member of his Mafia crew (Garrett) contemplating his Punishment for his betrayal of leaving and joining another Mafia gang without any notification to Rogen.

One of Rogen's underlings spoke up

Jake - Have you decided what his Punishment is going to be yet Rogen?

Rogen- I'm thinking of a quick , silent execution.

Garrett - please don't kill me I beg you.

Rogen - I hate it when they beg for their lives it makes me want to end it much quicker.

Garrett - Then I have another Suggestion.

Rogen -You have a suggestion for me

Rogen begins to laugh as he stands up and holds up a gun with a silencer to Garrett's temple.

Rogen - I could blow your Fucking Brains out right now .

Garrett - I saw that Lovely looking lady of yours earlier who came in the gate with you. If I die she dies.

Rogen - You really think you can stop me by threatening some broad. Your point I'm starting to get bored with you very fast. You have 10 seconds to keep me from blowing your brains out of your skull. Instead of waiting, Rogen immediately blew Garrett's brains out.

Jake - Rogen that broad really means nothing to you?

Rogen - I don't give shit about her he can kill her for all I care.

Jake - Boss you know I will ride or die for you but you are one heartless son of bitch.

Rogen - Why thank you

Rogen said with his psychotic laugh. Jake begin thinking that wasn't a compliment you dumbass.

Meanwhile at the front gate the guard who was Garrett's brother Ross got wind of his brother's death. He then told his men to kill Janey.

Now inside the Mansion where Janey was a couple of men unveiled their capes from all parts of the ballroom floor began taking out guns and senselessly firing shots from all directions. The Crowd began screaming.

Janey's P.O.V

Jaycee grabbed me and we hid under the table while the shots continued to ring out. He radioed the FBI for back up with the address to the Mansion as he took out his piece and began shooting at some of the assailants. He managed to hit three while I was still hiding under the table. I really wanted to make a run for it but I had a feeling I would get shot down before I could make it out safely.

Once the screaming died down I figured it was safe and begin to crawl on the floor trying to make my way further into the mansion praying I could find a back exit or something. When I felt large hands grab me by my waist and hoist me up off the ground filled with dead bodies. One of Ross's underlings held me in his tight grasp.

Ricky - Hey boss I got her

Ross told him through his mic piece to keep her in his grasp until he got there.

Janey - You Bastard let me go.

Jaycee showed his self and pointed his gun at Ricky.

Jaycee - Let her go

Ricky - Uh uh uhhh you should be bargaining with me for this Bitch's life

I don't know what happened but the moment he called me a bitch my mouth went right into the top of his wrist .

Ricky - Ahhh!! you Bitch .

I elbowed him hard straight to the face and flipped him over my shoulder. Jaycee

looked blown away by my tactics. Two assailants that were still alive and hiding and stupidly came out and got shot down by Jaycee. Jaycee made his way over to me and took me by the wrist he tried to direct me outside the mansion.

I told him I couldn't leave yet. I had to find my Bestfriend. So I began to walk away from the dinning hall when we heard footsteps heading from the opposite direction and talking. we quickly hid in the opposite hallway in the corner near the dinning hall. Rogen and his men made it to the dinning hall to see all the carnage .

Rogen - Look at this damn mess.

I caught a glimpse of the man and realized it was my Bestfriend Gabe. I was being held by Jaycee. He had his arms wrapped around my upper abdomen. I was about to call out to him like an idiot when Jaycee placed one of his hands over my mouth. So I kept quiet and continued listening to their conversation.

Jake - Rogen you really meant it when you said that woman didn't mean anything to you. You two seemed very close coming here together and all.

Rogen - Jake I already told she doesn't mean shit to me .

I felt something in my heart die the very moment he said those words and it nearly made me sick to my stomach. It took everything in my being not to take Jaycee's piece and shoot him straight between his eyes . I began being hit with every emotion that dealt with angry and complete betrayal. We began to hear sirens closing in and Rogen and his crew made a swift exit . Later that Night Jaycee took me back to his place and tried to talk to me but I was so upset that I couldn't hear his words. So he got ready for bed and turned in allowing me to ventilate all of my thoughts and emotions.

Jaycee's P.O.V

The next morning I woke up at 6am and took my shower and got dressed for work. I made my way through the living room and saw Janey Lying on the couch asleep still wearing her masquerade dress. It hit me that I had a couple old outfits that my ex girlfriend left after I caught her cheating on me in my own home. I took the white quilt I had over the sofa chair and placed it over her and left her a note telling her I had some spare clothes she could wear in the spare guest bedroom I had across from mine. I then left for work.

Janey's P.O.V

Early that afternoon. I woke up from my rest to a quilt on top of me. I got up still feeling a bit groggy as I rubbed the eye crust from my eyes. I saw a note sitting on the table so I picked it up and read it. It said make yourself at home.

I have some clothes in the guest room for you to wear as well as a bathroom and a bed if I would like to stay there until you can get yourself together. I smiled thinking about Jaycee being the sweetheart I labled him as yesterday. So I made my way to the guest room to get rid of the stink of betrayal from yesterday and get onto a fresh start. I took me a shower and wrapped a towel around me and began to explore the closet.

There were quite a few cute outfits to wear but instead I put on some plain red shorts and a white holter top. I went to the kitchen and fixed me a salad as I sat on the couch and turned on Jaycee's Large Flat screen TV trying to find a good movie to watch. When my message notification pinged on my Iphone.

To think it was a message from the complete asswhole who had disowned as his Bestfriend. He was probably texting me to make sure I was dead so he wouldn't have to feel that bad about having betrayed me. I ignored his text and blocked his number.
