Silence

I woke up feeling like I was lying on clouds. The smell of vanilla was everywhere. 'Is this heaven' I thought to myself as I lied there.

"Your awake." said an unfamiliar voice. Though it sounded like velvet to my ears.

Confusion flooded me and I quickly opened my eyes to see a dimly lit room. A figure to my right moved and the flip of a switch was heard before I was blinded by the light of the room.

"Sorry." The voice said quickly before seeming to dim the light slightly. "I didn't want to wake you up so I left the light off."

I looked over to see the most beautiful man I have ever seen in my life. His hair was dark brown and slightly shaggy. He looked like if the high school jock and the lovable nerd had been put together. But his eyes caught me off guard. They where the most brilliant blue I had ever seen.

"Like what you see?" He asked with humor in his voice.

I quickly looked down as a blush formed on my face before gathering my thoughts. How did I get here? I remembered what had happened and blurted out "Am I dead?"

"No. But you almost where. I almost lost you." He said with sadness in his voice. "You've been out for nearly a week."

"Wait, what happened." I asked confused. There's no way I survived that fall. The water was only seven feet deep. I know because I checked before picking that spot.

"I'm not entirely sure myself. Most wolves wouldn't have survived a fall like that either. You must be pretty strong." He said with pride, especially towards the last sentence.

I stared at him with a confused look. "I'm not a wolf though. I'm a person. What does that have to do with anything?"

A confused look crossed his face before he seemed to look of into space. I was extremely confused now and decided I should probably try to leave.

I swung my legs over the left side of the bed before looking around. The bed was covered in extremely soft pelts and looked like it was carved by hand. The interior design was very basic and homie with a white base and wooden floors. There was a bathroom to my right with a black marble countertop and a very modern bath/shower. I was quite impressed as I looked around.

The man quickly walked around the bed and offered me a hand. Not wanting to be rude I carefully grabbed is hand before suddenly letting go. Tingles had shot up my arm straight into my chest. A confused look crossed my face as I stared at my hand.

When I looked at the guy he just looked hurt by my action. Deciding this was too much to process I stood up a little wobbly and made my way to the bathroom.
