1 Prologue - Zero

There was once a man who sought the secrets of the world. A man of great power and knowledge, he parted the seas, helped those who are in need, defeated many monsters, and even fought the so-called gods.

To find out the truth about the world, the man sacrificed everything to achieve his goals.

With his deeds, the continent has lived in peace for several centuries to come. Yet, the price he had paid was not little as one might think.

Towards the very corner of the world, where the sun never shines, there existed a place solely created for those who opposed the laws of the world.

The Void. A place where the colors of life and the existence of every lifeform snuffs out just from a single touch. A place of darkness, and was deemed as the calling of beginning and the end.

The man who sacrificed his entirety has failed, defeated by the so-called gods in battle.

And currently, he remains imprisoned for all eternity, until his life force disappears completely.

Yet.

The man refused to give up. With the last of his power, he created a magical item containing all his memories, an item that can survive the grasp of the void's power. The Parchment Of Truth, he called it.

Even if it would take months, years, decades, and even centuries. He knew someday, the item would arrive in his future successor's hands, or will it?

Chained with deep dark metals all over his body, the man gazed towards the pitch black sky. "I know you're watching, you bastards." He waited a few seconds, then the stars began to shine.

"Now we're talking. Knowing how all of you came, the continent must be blooming now, am I right?"

Grinning, the man waited for a reply , yet none came.

"Keeping silent, are we? After everything I've done, you bastards dared to stab me in the back? Well, not that it matters anymore. So, can anyone tell me? What kind of bullshi* story did you cook up this time?"

After hearing his swear, one of the stars unexpectedly shined more brightly, and after a few seconds, a duplicated body of a god descended towards the void.

"Seeing your final moments have brought me so much joy, Lux Nulla." The god slowly took his steps, his face underneath a hood. A plain gray robe surrounded his godly body, covering him from head to toe.

"Hoo..a high-ranking god went on his way to visit me? I'm touched." The Man said, sarcastically.

The god's eyebrows twitched, yet he grins the moment after seeing the man in chains, slowly disappearing.

"Even if you keep a calm mind, there's is no saving you, after all, you are only mortal."

The god started twitching.

"There is nothing you can do."

His breaths become short and rapid.

"Nothing....."

Embracing his body ecstatic, chuckling under his breath, the god then showed a large grin on his face.

"Hehe...HEHHE...HEHEHEHHEHE!!! YOU HAVE FAILED, THERE IS NO DENYING THAT!!! YOU'VE GIVEN EVERYTHING FOR YOUR DREAM YET YOU NEVER EVEN REALIZE HOW YOU'VE ALREADY FAILED AT THE FIRST STEP!!! AHAHH! Seeing the end of your journey truly brings me such joy. It's been a pleasure."

The god instantly regained his composure and cleared his throat. "But, I and the other of my kind have to admit, you're story IS an interesting one."

The man in chains was slowly disappearing.

"I give my praise, Lux Nulla. Goodbye." The god looked down, waiting for the time when the man in chains loses his mind.

Yet, the man never showed such thing.

"Spare me your bullshi*, Chronos." showing a devilish smile on his face, even with the grip of the void tearing down his very body, he grins in the face of his enemies. "Don't worry, this isn't the end, it's only the beginning. I'll be back for your heads And the next time will be different."
