Chapter one MILITARY SOLDIERS

It was a serene night at the woods.The Crimson bandits are waiting for the sun to rise to take action.Their target for today was the Duke of Archemy,Johansson Raulle.They heard that he has many connections to other noble families and they are hoping that the Azuma tribe is one of them. While waiting for the day to come, Ranga was discussing the plan to the others.The Raulle mansion has a lot of securities so they planned on going together. They will be using clothes that they stole from the soldiers they killed to enter the mansion. As the sun rose,they went to the Archemy village for the plan.They didn't know that the soldiers that have been sent for security aren't just ordinary soldiers but mages. Mages are gifted persons who are born with magic that they can use.There are two types of magic; combat and non-combat magic.Combat magics can be used in battles while the non-combat magics are said to be useless since they cannot be used in fights like Float magic."Thank you for lending me some of your men, commander Gilbert Wil Hawke",the Duke said while sipping a glass of wine."Well,this isn't much help than the help you gave me and my men. Without the money you donated,we could not have bought medicine and bandages for our injured soldiers",a commander of the military soldiers,Gibert Wil Hawke said patting the Duke's shoulder."And also,it will be good for them to stay out of the battlefield for a day.Those guys just won another battle and got worn out.You don't have to worry about your enemies,the one I sent here is the Garrison squad and the major of the Aerial squad.", he continued. The Duke smiled and thanked the commander again.Gilbert Wil Hawke, commander of the 47th military battalion. He was one honorable man because of his power to lead and treasure his men. The 47th battalion,which he leads,is one of the powerful battalion in the military because many mages are assigned here.Each battalion consists of five squads.The Aerial squad is in charge of fighting in the sky using a weapon that makes them fly in the air. They usually use guns and they are the ones who pinpoints the location of the enemies. The Naval squad is in charge of battling in the seas and oceans. They uses submarines and attacks the enemy ship.The Garrison squad is in charge of the peace inside the kingdom. They take care of wanted criminals and protects the civilians.The Frontliner squad are securities of the border. They take care of trespassers and enemies who tries to attack the kingdom. They are also the informers when a battle is coming. And lastly, the Medic squad, they help the injured soldiers and identify the dead bodies. They are considered the most important squad and all battalion must have them."It was nice of the commander to send us here, right major Dierk Henriksen", a tall man said." You're right Sebastian ,the commander always let us rest after battling especially Major Parrish.She's not just the major of the Aerial Squad but also a tactician.With her tactics we always win every battle. "Austin, can you believe it!Major Parrish is here with us! ", Margaret exclaimed as she saw the aerial squad major sitting at the balcony in the Raulle mansion. " I got excited to meet her in person even Arthur fainted after knowing that she is coming with us", Austin said happily and excited.

Conrad POV

We are now at the Raulle mansion. Entering the mansion without the soldiers identifying us is a piece of cake. As I recall, there are six soldiers here which means that we don't have to worry since there are more of us and we can just kill them if they interfere with our plan. Ranga and Yasui are inside the mansion. They will be the one to confront the Duke while Sistine is outside preparing a carriage for our escape. Prances and Ashar is in the front yard while me and Akill is here in the backyard. We are planning on having a surprise attack when Ranga and Yasui comes out. While we are in the balcony waiting for the signal to attack, we heard footsteps coming towards the place where we are that is why we hide behind the bushes. I took a peek to see who it was and I saw a girl. I must say, she is cute and pretty but her face shows no emotion. She sat on the bench and start reading a book that she was holding a while ago. We waited for her to leave but she just sat there reading. Akill took a peek at the girl and narrowed his eyes, "I think we have been found".I also peeked at the girl and saw her staring at the bush where we are hiding. The words that came out of her tiny mouth shocked the both of us, " Come out and state your reason of hiding".Akill readied his knife while I sheathed my blades. The girl stood up and is now walking towards us. Akill jumped out and rushed towards the girl but as soon as he got near her, a lightning struck him. After that, we realized that we are fighting a mage. Wait a minute... Does that mean that the other soldiers are mages?! We may be an Akatsuki but we never fought mages before. Now Akill and I are in the balcony with a mage. I couldn't move and my body felt chills. I looked directly into her platinum blue eyes. They were shining like diamonds. Her eyes looked good with her bluish-white hair that is tied in a ponytail. She is so beautiful like a goddess."Thank you".Akill sweat dropped and I was confused, "W-what? ".She looked at me again and said, " For your compliment... You said I was beautiful like a goddess".Akill got flustered and yelled at her. "Wha- How did you know!? ".What?! I was the one who said that to her but that's not the problem. How did she know about that when Akill and I have been silent all the time. Does she read minds?!She looked at me again and pointed her head. " I can read minds... "
