Chapter four TRAINING CADETS

The cadets are all lined up for the introduction. The instructor, Zachary Campbell can be heard yelling at the trainees.He was yelling at everyone that made their ears hurt. Zachary walked towards the direction where Ashar is. He stood in front of the poor boy. "And who are you!", he yelled. "Sir, Ashar Amiri,sir! "."And who gave you that name! "."My grandparents sir! ".He yelled louder that spit landed on a boy's cheek. He wiped it off with his hands. The instructor headed towards him. "And who are you little boy! ". The boy saluted, "I'm Ran Ur Vagondueff, sir!"."And where did you come from,kid! "."Liechstein District,sire!"." So you saw the damn beasts that made you squeal like a girl. HAHAH". He started to laugh at the boy's face that spit was all over him. Someone has chuckled. Ran turned up to see a platinum blonde haired man. Zachary's then exploded like a red tomato. Ran wiped the spit once again and turned around to see Zachary glaring at him. Steams can be seen on his head. "MARSHALL! VAGONDUEFF!RUN FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. NO FOOD PRIVILEGE FOR BOTH OF YOU. YOU ARE ALL DISMISS! "

After the instructor heads out, Ran grabbed the hankerchief in his pocket and wiped his face. The two started running and Conrad had no problems with it since it's daytime and he never get tired. He turned around to see the boy named Ran catching up to him. Conrad noticed that he's slowing down that's why he also slowed his pace so that Ran could catch up to him. He extended his hands to Ran and he held it. "Thank you...I needed that", he said smiling. They were chattering while running which made it less tiring. Then after the long run, they sat on the ground watching the sunset fall. "Oi guys, you okay? ", Ranga and Prances came holding breads for the duo. "Well of course, I'm Conrad Marshall. I'm always okay", Conrad said proudly. "How about him?", Prances asked pointing her fingers at Ran. "He's okay. Now give us those bread we're hungry! ".Conrad grabbed the food and handed the others to Ran. They went to the dining room to see everyone was there. Prances grabbed Ran's hand and they sat to where the other former bandits are. Suddenly, people came around Ran. "Are you the boy from the Liechstein district?", someone asked. "Uhh yeah", Ran replied. "Then you must have seen it! "."Uh yeah"."How big was it? Is it true that Abaddon was bigger than a castle?!"."Uh yeah, I suppose so"."What did he do to the people? I heard that the people disappeared. Did he turned them to beasts like him or did he-".He was cut off when Ran suddenly gag. Ranga saw him and shooed the guys away. "You okay? ", Conrad asked concerned of his friend."I'm fine...I just need to take my pills", he replied while looking for some thing in his bag. He got startled, "Oh no! I-I swear I p-put them here", Ran said panicking that made him stutter. Conrad and the others are trying to calm him down but he fainted. Suddenly someone bursts through the down. It was the Parrish. The bandits saluted at her while the others just stood there admiring her beauty. She headed towards the unconscious boy and handed something to Ranga. "Give this to him when he wakes up. Tell him that it was lying on the ground", she instructed to Ranga. 'The ground? Did it fell when we were running... ', Conrad thought. Parrish looked at him before turning back towards the door. "Great! She just read my mind again", Conrad mumbled. A man with a blonde messy hair came to her. "Um, I haven't seen you around. I'm Ryleigh Flaggan and you? ".He grabbed the Major's wrist. 'If the Garrison squad is here, that man's dead by now', Akill thought remembering how the squad threatened them if we ever touch or talk with Major Parrish. "Parrish", she replied to Ryleigh. "Ah your hair fits perfectly with your eyes", he complimented her. "Thank you", she said before leaving. The next day, the trainees are about to learn the gears each squad uses. It is to determine what squad each cadets will be assigned to. They were able to use the diving gear correctly. What troubled most of the cadets is the flying gear. It was hard to balance them and most trainees was sent in the infirmary. They also learned on how to use flare guns and other types of guns. In the following days, a combat training was held. The former bandits were banned from the training because Zachary was told that they are from the Akatsuki tribe. "Hey Ran, would you like to go against me. It seems you're bored, so am I.", Ryleigh challenged Ran. The others looked at Ryleigh in disbelief. Ran has a lot of disadvantages to Ryleigh that will make the taller guy win. Conrad was about to stop him when Ran accepted the duel. Ryleigh got into his fight stance. The first move was expected. He was coming to Ran's lower body but Ran speed up for his advantage. He jumped and flipped and grab Ryleigh's right hand and twisted it. He then jumped high and kicked Ryleigh's face with so much strength that he slammed into a tree. There was a moment of silence and all of the cadets stared at Ran like he was a creature being discovered. Ran rushed to Ryleigh who was unconscious and carried him into the infirmary. "Woah! That was so epic Ran. You slammed the idjt into the tree. Don't feel sympathy for him, he deserve it", Prances said congratulating Ran. "I think I overdid it a little but I didn't mean to", he replied nervously and concerned. "Those moves are great! Did someone taught you that "."Ah yes! My master taught it to me. I've been training with my master for eight years and she taught me fighting skills", he said happily but then he suddenly frowned, "but those eight years aren't still enough to defeat her". Conrad's eyes shone, " She must be strong! Tell us more about her" , he said sitting beside Ran. Ranga and the others also listened to his stories, "After the incident that happened in our town, us, the survivors were sent to an evacuation area and the soldiers said that we can only go back if they guarantee that it's safe to go but after that, I was sent to an orphanage since there is no one to take care of me now that my parents are gone. I was lonely and I don't like playing with other kids in the orphanage because I was waiting for my parents,hoping that they're still alive looking for me. One day, a beautiful girl came to me. She was beautiful like a goddess and that's where I thought I had died but it wasn't. She adopted me and trained me for eight years but then she suddenly disappeared. I travelled alone finding her and then I saw her name on a newspaper. She became a military soldier. I was happy that I could meet her again after twelve years of looking for her." Sistine suddenly gag and spat the water she's been drinking. "Twelve years?! Just how old are you?!"
