2 fake death (II)

I built an ice wall In Front of me to block Jasper's electric attacks and got myself time to breath. This was another one of our pretend battle to show the world we are enemies.

I waited for the attack to come but nothing happened. Looking around the barren land near the coast of Ravial kingdom I see nothing but my ice and ocean.

My senses sharpen and suddenly something hits my head hard, losing the time to react immediately. I planted my right foot firmly on the ground to support myself and did a kick towards my hitter.

Jasper stopped my foot and pulled me causing me to fall on him. He hugged me tight. "What are you doing? Damn it." I say as I try my best to get out of his monstrous grip. 

"Sorry" was the last thing I heard as electricity ran down my body causing me quite a lot of pain. In my last memories before losing consciousness I feel him pick me up from my waist, over his shoulders.

"If you stop screaming in my ears maybe I can tell you." as she finally closed her mouth but her intense stare was still there.

"Look as per Kaan's plan we had to fight till I gained everyone's trust. Then later when I defeated him, I would be praised by the king. right, then I would collect evidence against his crimes and dethrone him, meaning I become the king, all the while Kaan stayed in the shadow helping against the dark knights. That was roughly the plan right." 

"Ya but why are you repeating what I already know? you know that you have become a traitor here right."

"I know but listen, I found some documents with the updated plan and guess what? it was older then the actual plan meaning we were following a half baked plan all along." 

"What! that can't be. you mean the master has been only telling half truth."

"Exactly, in that plan it was that he will confront the king and reveal his lineage and take revenge for his step dad... and then I will have to kill him so people can trust me and let me rule in a righteous way. He actually wanted to die." I look up to see Sky crying.

After a moment of her calming down.

Sniff.. "I will take care of the castle and calm them down. it will take a week make sure he is there when I get there." she said as she turned the contact ball off. Kaan was in a lot of trouble but that's what he deserves. Since childhood, we have been close. We met as a young master and a knight in training but later that bond deepened and all I can say about him is that I would decimate the world until it crashes down my foot with ashes flying around if anything happens to him. 

But he, he wanted to die and leave me behind his shadow. isn't he selfish for that. I yawn as it was late at night and I have to be at the victory celebration party planning that will happen in a few days. 'what a drag.' 

I head off to see Kaan before I go to sleep. Click! entering his room and watching him sleep peacefully washes some of my anger away. I don't know how many nights I had stayed up to watch him sleep, it was my coping system. I stroke his hair "you really are a troublemaker just like your dad. Don't worry when you wake up all you have to do is laze around and relax, I will handle everything. but just don't give up on yourself ok. " I say sweetly and kiss his forehead. 

Getting up I take one last look before leaving the room and entering my own which was just beside this one. I changed into my pajamas and went to bed.

"Wake up my lord" I hear someone wake me up. I growled and opened my eyes. The first thing I see is black hair and honey gold eyes looking at me. I jolted awake and sat up straight. He just smiled at me.

"Jas...ummm what-" before a sentence could form I noticed his clothes. He was wearing the official commander's uniform. I frowned and asked him "where are you headed?"

"Oh!," he glance at his uniform and replied "to the victory celebration."

"And you are also going, as duke Mabuz of course." I hear from behind me as. I turned to see Skyler just standing there. 

"Skyler!!" 

"Don't act so surprised you know I was coming. Also I know all about your plan and the things you were going to do. As you can see I am not quite happy about it." 

'And here we go again.' I sigh and finally say "look the paper you found was old and a rubbish idea made oh a wimp. It means nothing. I didn't wanted to leave you all after realizing this. I switched to our current plan. So I am not planning on dying and also I am not attending the victory ball. Who am I even going to attend with?" 

"Oh it doesn't matter if that plan was real or not but it's about not taking risks with you." Skyler justified their perfect defense.

"And you will be attending the ball with me." Jas answered my second question. 

"What!!" I am starting to hate surprises because of this. 

"Is something wrong with that?" Jas asked all innocently with his sinister eyes.

"Something wrong- everything is wrong with it, we don't know each other in the outside world and you have no connection to me."

"Don't worry about it while you were asleep for ten days we settled everything." 

"Huh- te-ten days."

"Oh you must have not remember as we knocked you out as soon as you were done with your food." 

"I can't be with you people...just take me back to the frost castle." 

"That we can't do, now let's get you ready for the ball." Jas snapped his finger and the shadow slaves, common servants that do everything if ordered to, appeared beside me and took my arms and carried me to the bath.

And with all that we reached the royal palace of Ravial Kingdom, where the Sun or the King Gustav Ravial resides....
