51 Thinking Of Jumping

I am running after Sandra up the bridge. She sees that there is nowhere for her to go, she climbs over onto the ledge of the bridge and screams at me to get away from her or she will jump. I walk to the ledge and look over, it is easily more than 200 feet to the ground. The other units come running up the bridge and I put my hand out to show them to stop, I tell them;

"Back off, I have got it"

I look back at Sandra. She is breathing heavily while looking down. She is struggling to hold on with her left hand, as she still has a gun in her hands. I look down again and see the other units on the ground, starting to clear the area of the public trying to see what is going on. I stand still and try to make contact with her, I say;

"Sandra, my name is Detective Marks from the L.A.P.D."

Sandra moves her head a little to the left like she is trying to hear what I am saying, but still looking to the ground beneath her. I say to Sandra;
