1 PROLOGUE

"Finally, something that will make me escape all the noises," Leon said as he carefully ran his hand on the white beautiful capsule that lay beside him. It was the first of its kind, but he couldn't see it.

Leon had anticipated this since Morkgol announced the project seven years ago. He had tried gaming back and forth, but this was a new experience for him. He was born with a condition called 'Riddoch syndrome', a condition in which a form of visual impairment, caused by lesions in the occipital lobe, leaves the sufferer blind but able to distinguish visual stimuli with specific characteristics when these appear in the patient's blind field. The most common stimuli that can be perceived consciously are the presence and direction of fast-moving objects. So Leon could see but not the way others did, He had played only VR games but this was new. With the invention of a capsule that uses the neurons to create an actual reality that the user will be fully immersed in, this virtual reality game was a timely invention for him to see the way normal people did, but in a game.

That good-for-nothing boy that knew only to bring imbalance, embarrassment and filth to the prestigious family of Renault Van Hoise. Hell, even the name disgusted him. Why did he have to be born into a very rich family that used its children as means to amass power. He didn't know much about the life of the less privileged, never had to strife for food, but still wanted the warmth of a family. Well, to hell with that now, he could at least escape this reality.

Leon stretched his arms toward the capsule and got ready to enter the capsule.

He smiled at the capsule again. He was so full of joy that his soul would leap out of his body. He calmed down and slipped his hand on the capsule and pressed a button on the capsule, then the lid opened. He went ahead and laid inside, and then the lid slowly closed.

... ... ...

[Starting Launch]

He heard a soft and calming voice as the door closed with a notification window with a royal blue appearance.

[Creating Character]

[Would you like to adjust character look?]

As the voice concluded he opened his eyes to a dark space, and a series of toolbars appeared in front of him.

Even though he was blind, he was quite the handsome one. It wasn't like he had to appear on TV like his brothers and sisters, so he just went with his regular appearance.

"Let's go with my normal look"

Even though he had never seen himself, the testimony of the multitude couldn't lie. He might be useless within the family, but it wasn't like that outside the family, his looks attracted lots of females and this had caused various scandals that damaged the family's reputation over time. Of course, this was the scheme of their enemies to use him as a means to destroy his family, this was why he was withdrawn from school and then home schooled, leading him to the life of a SHUT-IN GAMER.

[Character customization has been set to the user's natural appearance]

[Name Character]

He had lots of gaming friends, if he used his regular game name, which was 'WhiteOrl', they would see it and one way or the other know that he, the king of gaming had arrived. But that would be too easy and boring for him, it's a new age so he wanted to make things more entertaining for himself, after all, this was his domain.

[Failed]

[System has discovered a major disability with user]

"Wow...so my blindness will be an issue..." Leon's countenance fell, it was a test, to see if he could experience sight but he was starting to feel like the test was a failure.

[The System has offered you a special race]

[This race is one of its kind and is still a prototype, the moment you choose this race the system can not have 1% dominance over choices that influence your class]

"Isn't that risky?"

[Yes it is. Some Intermittent Regulations that are made to keep users in check cannot be made against these special races.]

"But will I be able to experience the virtual world like everybody else?"

[Definitely, Age Of Aron will be available to you just like every one else]

"Alright give me this special race"

[Changing race...]

A decision that led Leon to the beginning of liberation, first in a virtual world and soon began to affect the real world.
