Chapter 7

As Travis worked out, there was another boy his age many miles away. He was in the middle of the entire kingdom, at the capital. The capital, which was hundreds of miles away from Travis's village, was a grand place where only people of nobility lived. It was also the place where the Royal family, who were in charge of the whole land, resided.

Inside the Royal Kingdom, there was a young boy in his luxurious room, lying on his bed. This boy had white hair and pale white skin. His name was Nathan White and he was the prince of the Admys Kingdom. The Admys Kingdom was a large nation, the size of Russia as a whole, and its capital, called Krila, was right in the middle of the entire place.

Being the prince of such a nation, Nathan had many responsibilities on his shoulders. Even though he was young, he knew this very well. Being labeled as a genius from a young age, Nathan knew almost all the information one could need in the future for any academic study. Yet, the one thing he lacked was strength. He had all the smarts but was extremely weak, which was the thing he hated the most.

"Maybe I'm cursed to remain like this forever. Does that mean I won't be able to become a hero?" he thought to himself.

But then suddenly, a bright light shone from the sky. He hurriedly got off his bed and looked at the light. All the guards hurriedly cast their flight spells and went up to guard the castle, but the light completely obliterated them the second they got near.

"I am the God of Light, and I grant your oldest son my power. He is chosen to become a hero, along with five other people in all the nations. When they turn 18, they shall meet, and with their power, they shall defeat all the evil in this world."

A genderless monotone voice rang in the sky. All those in the castle heard this very well. Nathan, who was standing on the balcony, was suddenly shined upon by the light like a spotlight. His previously brown eyes turned white, and his skin became paler. A beautiful light saber appeared in his hand.

"You shall become light. You are weak at the moment, but with training and perseverance, you will become a God. Yet, be careful because another person has the power of dark. Goodbye, my boy."

The light disappeared as fast as it came. Nathan's father and mother came into his room and found him standing outside on the balcony. They appeared in front of him and checked if he was alright. Seeing that he was okay, they exhaled in relief, but he was not normal anymore. His bright white eyes stared at them both. When he smiled, they rejoiced and brought him into their embrace.

"Mom, Dad, you are hugging me too tightly," he said.

They quickly stopped their hug upon hearing their son complain.

"Do you feel anything different, son?" his beautiful white-haired mother named Luna asked, with worry in her tone.

"No, I don't. But there's a lot of energy in my body than before," he answered.

His father, named Harry, checked and noticed the change.

"His Mana pool is huge for a boy his age. It's almost equal to an A-tier adventurer," he said, shocked.

"Yes, I can see that. Son, go back to sleep. Tomorrow, we'll talk about your change, okay? Come, let me tuck you into bed," she said as she walked hand in hand with him. She laid him on the bed and kissed his forehead.

"Goodnight, son," she said. He responded with a nod and turned around to fall asleep. They left his room and went back to theirs.

Nathan couldn't help but feel excitement coursing through his veins. He finally had a Mana pool, and by the sound of it, he would become a hero in the future.

"I can't wait for tomorrow," he thought.

The sun rose and Nathan got up from bed. He went to his bathroom and took a nice hot shower. When he was done, he wore his clothes and ran out of his room, running past his maid who was supposed to wake him up. He soon arrived at the dining room and sat next to his mother as they ate.

"Good morning, mom and dad," he said excitedly.

"How did you sleep, my boy?" Luna asked as she patted his head.

"I slept well, mom. Now, can we talk about what happened yesterday?" he said, quite impatient. In his opinion, they should have done this when it happened.

"Be patient, my boy. We first need to hear from the other kingdoms. They have reported that all their oldest children have also been chosen," she said.

"Wait, even Eleanor?" he asked.

"Yes, Eleanor has also been chosen, but they haven't said what she has been chosen as. In fact, none of them have. All we can do is patiently wait for their reply," she responded.

Nathan sat back down since he was now standing on his chair. His father chuckled and said, "Don't you worry, my son. We'll talk about it after breakfast, okay? Now eat up, you need your energy."

Nathan smiled and nodded, and then began to eat his breakfast as fast as he could. Then, a knock came from the door. A guard checked and reported that it was five messengers from each kingdom.

"Let them enter."

The messengers entered and stood before them with perfect posture and form. They all wore their kingdom's emblems on their uniforms, coupled with different color letters.

There were six kingdoms as a whole in this whole world. Well, six registered kingdoms to be more precise. Rumor has it, there are many other kingdoms in the world that no one knows about.

From the first kingdom, the messenger brought the letter to the king and recited it as he read it.

"Greetings,

With hearts filled with joy, we, the King and Queen, extend our warmest regards to your esteemed family. It is with great pleasure that we share the news that our beloved daughter, Princess Eleanor, has been graced with a divine honor - she has been chosen by the God of War himself.

In celebration of this momentous occasion and as a symbol of unity among our noble houses, we cordially invite all distinguished Royal families to gather for a splendid grand ball. This grand event will be held on the 9th day of the month of blossoms.

With anticipation and excitement, we look forward to your presence at this auspicious occasion, where we shall rejoice in the blessings bestowed upon our family and strengthen the bonds that unite us all.

Sincerely,

"Wow, that is amazing. Eleanor is going to be super strong in the future. I wonder who would win between me and her, though," he thought.

The next one began to recite the letter, and he was followed by the next until everyone was finished. The messengers were then sent off with some gifts, which they humbly accepted.

"These are very wonderful news. When is the 9th of spring?" Harry asked.

"If I'm sure, I think it's a week from now, on Friday," Luna answered.

"Good, we shall message them all and tell them we shall host the ball. I am quite excited for this. Also, Nathan, it's time for us to discuss what happened yesterday."

"For real? Yes!"
