Chapter 9: The Bluffer

The blood on his hand was still fresh. It still had some warmth. This was the blood of a human.

He had actually killed another human being. He didn't know what to feel about that.

He had just killed someone who wanted to kill him. It was self defense, but it was also his first time.

Kim Seojin was stuck in a whirlpool of his thoughts when he heard a notification that only he could hear.

A screen appeared before him, telling him about a unique achievement.

He wasn't just the first person to have this achievement in the 300th batch. He was the first overall.

It was an achievement worth a thousand points. And he also received two points from the man he killed.

In the blink of an eye, he had become the person with highest contribution points before the second stage even began.

He still felt some guilt, but he was starting to realize that being kind to others was being cruel to oneself.

He took a deep breath and stepped forward.

He placed his sword over the lifeless body of the man he had to kill.

He wiped the blood from his sword, using the man's clothes before looking at the others.

"Does anyone else want to try?"

Many people had seen him kill a Warrior in close combat. His movements didn't look like someone who was untrained.

It was like a Warrior who had been training all his life.

"He deserved to die. He thought a Warrior was a Necromancer."

"What a stupid man."

The other Players didn't pay target Kim Seojin anymore.

They were angry at the Necromancer who was a threat to them, but they didn't think Kim Seojin was a Necromancer.

Which Necromancer used a Sword? Which Necromancer moved like that? Which Necromancer had such skills?

They believed he used a sword skill, which came with his class. It further removed their suspicions.

"But if he isn't the Necromancer, then who is?"

Most of them had the same question in their mind. Who was Lee Taehyung?

They didn't know who the Necromancer was. With so many people, it was impossible to locate one person who could just as easily lie about his identity.

In the Tutorial, everyone was for themselves. If more people died, it was only better for them.

There were still over two hours left before the Second Stage. And no one knew what to prepare.

The Players looked at each other cautiously. They were proudly telling others about their classes. But this time, they all kept things to themselves.

They didn't know who could become their enemy in the next stage. They couldn't tell anyone their weakness.

Two hours were given between the stages and the Players used that to rest or make plans.

All the teams had already been broken after the first stage, so they relied on themselves.

There was only one person who wasn't resting. It was Kim Seojin, who was walking around the field.

Unlike others, he didn't have to worry about not knowing other people's weaknesses.

One after another, he used Insight on all the Players in the field.

There were supposed to be around five hundred people left alive in this Tutorial, but he could only see around a hundred people in this place.

In those hundred people, a lot of them had ordinary classes that weren't suitable for battle.

Despite that, those people were pretending that they had a good clase.

In that group of people, there was one person who had been bragging to him as well. It was Lee Junho who talked about becoming an Arcane Mage.

Kim Seojin didn't know how to react when he looked at the man's status screen. Even he was fooled by this man.

This man had bragged about his staff, claiming that it was the Staff of an Arcane Mage.

It was nothing more than a Staff that was used to create flames for cooking.

Although it was a rare class for sure, it wasn't a class that was battle oriented. And it was nowhere close to something like an Arcane Mage.

'With such a weak class, how did he manage to kill eleven people?'

He had a lot of questions about Lee Junho. At first, he thought this man was strong and carefree.

He had even helped him, if it could even be called that. But he wasn't as good as he made him out to be.

He was weak, yet he had managed to kill so many people and enter the top five in contribution ranking. He was more dangerous than he looked.
