11 Chapter 11

(POV change to Kanae)

I was standing in front of a huge steel door my perception allowed me to hear something through the door it sounded like talking.

"Looks like we really were beat here" I commented

"You think it's Kim Yu-Won?" Lee Sung-Yoon, my new teammate asked me as well as our other teammate Elador.

I checked the rankings to see if they might have been updated Kim Yu-Won's cp.

{1st – Kim YuWon : 10149cp}

{2nd – Hargaan : 7081cp}

{3rd – Gojo Satoru: 6922cp }

{4th – Kanae Tawata: 5834cp}

"Yeah it was Kim Yu-Won, check the rankings." I sigh and say to the group and follow up with.

"Better to rip the Band-Aid off now, I guess" I mumble to myself "Let's go in" I say, and wait for the team to nod we then open the and are treated to the sight of a muscular and tall, young man with black-pitched eyes and black hair sitting atop a corpse with other corpses scattered about.

"You guys were a little late, We just killed this guy." The person on the corpse said. The talking I heard on the other side of the door and this guy saying 'we' meant there was another person, so I looked around and was surprised by who I found. A handsome and muscular young man with gray eyes, black hair, and sharp facial features the characteristics of the merchant from the 3rd tutorial.

"Are you perhaps Kim Yu-Won?" Lee Sung-Yoon asks the guy on the corpses. Kim Yu-Won nodded.

"And who is your teammate there?" I ask and point to the merchant, I didn't like the guy because he scammed a ton of people but near the end of the tutorial I got a neutral viewpoint on him, since he lowered his prices a ton to help the suffering people.

Instead of Kim Yu-Won, the merchant spoke up.

"I am Gojo Satoru, Miss First Customer. May I also know your name Miss?" He also bowed his head when he asked the question and introduced himself. Gojo seemed out of place, he had a pretty pristine appearance despite being in a room full of carnage.

"Kanae Tawata, nice to meet you." I gave false pleasantries like most introductions.

(POV change to Gojo)

I heard Kim Yu-Won speak up.

"You guys know each other?" He asks me in front of everyone.

"Yeah, we were part of the same Sector in the tutorial." My answer seems to have put Kim Yu-Won into deep thought.

"We guys wanna join Hargaan's team" we were asked rather straightforwardly by Miss First Cust- Kanae. Both I and Kim Yu-Won had the same.

"Nope, I'm good." I say at the same time Yu-Won says

"No thank you."

Kanae just shrugs, and the boss room goes silent until rumbling can be heard, Elador explains it.

"I told Team Leader that we found Kim Yu-Won"

I sighed, not long after Elador spoke a trail of lighting was visible making its way to Yu-Won.

"KIM YU-WON!! I Finally Found Y-" Hargaan tried to finish charging and talking but was met with his forehead meeting the scales of the Parasite Dragon

Yu-Won acted as if nothing happened and looked down at Elador, asking, "Do you guys simply desire 'survival'? Or do you guys want to become Rankers?"

Elador's eyes widened. He mentioned Rankers. No doubt, she wondered how Yu-Won, who wasn't a Pure-Blood, knew about their existence.

"Because if that's all you guys want, you can play house elsewhere. I don't have any intention of playing along with such childish dreams."

"Are you saying you're different?" asked Elador.

She no looked at Yu-Won as simply another Tutorial participant. She believed that he must have been a Pure-Blood like her. That his name was similar to Lee SungYoon must only have been a coincidence, and he was in fact a completely different being.

"No, I'm not that different. I have to become a Ranker one day as well. However, that's only part of the process. It's not my goal."

"It's not my goal either, I only have 1 goal." I say, now that I have everyone's attention I continue before anyone asks questions.

"I want to see this Tower destroyed, everything inside and outside" I finish. My response seemed to hit Kim Yu-Won the hardest, probably because he was the only one to know of the Outer Gods.

Everyone seemed shocked by our proclamations our silence was interrupted by Hargaan.

"Watch do you think your doing!?" Hargaan said

Hargaan got up, growling like an animal and glaring at Yu-Won. He was baring his fangs, but he held himself back from attacking Yu-Won. Seeing Hargaan's response, Yu-Won shrugged his shoulders as he said.

"You were coming at me so ferociously, I thought you were attacking me."

Hargaan stopped talking because he realized the guys he wanted were already taken by each other. Hargaan made one last call to both of us before taking his team and losing.

"Let's make a bet. See who can defeat the boss first and who racks up more cp." Hargaan said

"Our team has nine people in total, and we won't be recruiting any more people. You guys are also not allowed to recruit more people" he continued

It was a very appealing offer, to me at least since I know that I can beat the boss and even the 'hidden boss'. Yu-Won didn't seem too convinced.

"However, if I win, you need to join our team."

This certainly piqued YuWon's interest. Yu-Won decided to take this opportunity and asked with a smug look on his face, "And if we win?"

"I'll serve you guys as my hyung-nim." I looked to Kim Yu-Won to see if we were on the same page when it comes to the bet. But to my surprise, he accepts without my consent.

"I agree" Kim Yu-Won

We waited for Hargaan's team to leave, and there were some more notable things to happen like the explanation that the clock stopped working

"Time to start hunting" I said to Kim Yu-Won, he looked surprised since this was the first time I said to start hunting.

"Are you actually gonna hunt with me now?" He asked me

"Yeah." I sigh "I don't wanna be even close to losing" I said

"Wow glad you have faith in me" Yu-Won said in monotone

We were walking towards a very crowded area which was the crater where the boss was located.
