Understanding the system as a Hunter.

The moment his hand touched the door knob and he was ready to turn it, Kim suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest.

At first, it was a slight jab, but heavy enough to send him falling to his knees. And then, with his hand still on the door knob, he began to groan in pain.

It felt like something had a grip on his heart and was squeezing it while tormenting him from the inside. "Urrrrrgh!" He groaned even louder, this time lying flat on the ground and his eyes completely glowing.

His veins began to light up as if on the verge of exploding and his skin turned pale, resembling that of a zombie by the second.

"Oh my, time is wasting." The angel uttered, her legs crossed as she sat on the bed, watching the scene unfold before her.

Kim's throat began to clog, his eyes red and popped. It felt like every blood cell in his body was ready to burst open from underneath his skin.

He didn't need to be told, he knew exactly what needed to be done and fast.

"I…accept,.." He groaned, "I..Accept!".

As those words echoed in his head, he slowly began to feel normal again. His eyes stopped glowing and his body went back to its initial state.

Lying on the ground, Kim turned his gaze towards The angel, who was looking back at him with a smile on her face.

'What the hell did I get myself into.' He spoke in his mind, both the angel and the golden template positioned right in front of him.

Kim was seated on the bed, his arms tucked and his eyes closed while the Angel stood at the side of the room and the golden template hovered right in front of him.

"So let me get this straight." Kim voiced out, opening his eyes as he continued, "I'm supposed to participate in this showdown and somehow win against 14 other people to become a god? Is that it?".

"Correct." The angel replied.

"But you can't tell me anything about this contest yet because it's not time for me to learn about it?".

"That is also correct".

"But I can still use your other form, which happens to be this system in front of me, to grow and prepare for the contest".

"Bravo master, you nailed it." The angel smiled as she clapped her hands.

Kim sat there, staring at the template while reading everything that was on it.

'This sounds too good to be true. From what I'm seeing here, I can grow stronger just by doing things the system tells me to do, that's like unlocking a chest code.' Kim utterred, his hand positioned under his jaw.

Looking at the template, his eyes suddenly fell on one option, [Host's stats]. Curious as to what it was since all he wanted to do was understand the system and see what he was dealing with, he uttered-

"Can you open up my stats?".

"And how exactly do I go about leveling up?" Kim asked.

{Exp can be gained through multiple means, by completing quests, clearing dungeons, daily tasks, and it goes one.

When Exp is gained, Host levels up, hence leading to the next stage.}

'The next stage being?' Kim inquired.

{Every time Host levels up, you gain skill points that can allocated to his stats to increase them.

- Every ten level ups, Host receives a copy card that allows you to copy abilities . This grants you the ability to replicate skills or powers from enemies, allies, or other sources encountered throughout your journey.

- Every twenty levels, Host is able to gain a random ranked skill, (F Rank-SSS rank). This skill can vary in power and utility. }

"Hmm… okay, can I put that to the test? Getting to level one shouldn't be hard right? This looks exactly like an rpg game." Kim stood up from the bed, looking directly at the Angel who was simply smiling at him.

{Affirmative, would host like to do a quest for a quick level up?}

"Yes, and don't call me host, sounds weird. Just call me by my name." Kim responded, his eyes still fixed on The Angel.

Shifting his eyes away from the angel, Kim stared at the template. It didn't take him any time to realize the first two were impossible for him. When it comes to combat, he is utterly useless.

"I guess I'll take the third one." He replied, standing in the middle of the room as he began doing stretches.

Kim sighed. Even though he wasn't interested in doing any of it, he wanted to know how beneficial this sudden power was, and the only way to do it was to play along.

Falling to the ground, Kim began doing push ups, his grunts echoing throughout the room as he kept at it.

After a couple of minutes, Kim was lying on the ground, panting heavily after he had just finished doing 10 sit ups and push ups.

"So…. How about that? I completed the quest already, didn't I?" He asked the system as he panted heavily.

Ding!

The template appeared in front of him.

"Good." Kim muttered under his breath before fully resting his head on the ground.
