12 I accept, I don't want to weak.

His eyes widened.

Shock? Surprise? It was neither. The sudden realization as he gazed on the stats in front of him began to set in. Up until now, the sentence, "The more you level up, the stronger you get." Didn't make much sense to him.

But as he laid on the ground, the golden template illuminating against his face, he could feel his body change in accordance to the number on the screen.

"Impossible." Kim blurred out.

"Shocking isn't it?" The angel chimed in, her warm angelic gaze fixed Kim, "The power of the king is yours to use. Level up and grow strong enough to defeat the gods if you will."

Kim shifted his gaze towards her.

"You won't fully understand this system, or how this new ability works. But then again, that is why you have me…" The angel stood up from the bed and moved towards Kim, stretching her hand to lift him from the floor, "Let me help you grow stronger… Master".

Kim knew this wasn't a game anymore, it was the real deal. If simple tasks like these were all it took for him to level up, he could grow stronger and potentially fulfill his dreams of being a famous Hunter.

Kim took one more look at the system. "Level up to grow." He blurted out, and then, a small smile formed on his face as he slowly stood up from the ground, "It's a very tempting offer, besides, not like I can refuse, I don't want my heart ripped".

"Heheh, No pain no gain as they say." The angel smiled.

"No pain no gain." Kim, now on his feet, stood in front of the Angel, looking her directly in the eye for a while before he shaked her, "Help me grow… and I'll help you with your god stuff".

"Wise choice." The angel smiled.

"I'd rather not waste an opportunity to get strong. Being weak isn't fun." Kim gave out a nervous expression.

"Well then, I'll happily serve my master." The angel bowed her head elegantly, "Remaining the King's victory is my purpose".

In that moment, Kim couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as he watched this beautiful woman bow her head in front of him.

Staring down at her, he was about to utter a word when all of a sudden, he heard the clinking sound of his door opening.

"Big brother, I'm coming in." Raphael voiced out as she slowly opened the door. Peeping inside, the first thing she saw was Kim, standing in the center of the room while looking back at her with a nervous look on his face.

"R-apheal…" He called out weakly, his eyes widened in shock. Not only was there a floating golden window in front of him, but there's also a silver haired woman bowing down in front of him.

"Uhmm… I know this looks weird, but I can explain… you see the thing is, I.."

Before he could complete his words, Raphael charged forward, giving him a hug so strong it pushed him flat on the bed.

Kim remained there quiet, his face slowly turning calm as the silent sobs of his sister vibrated against his chest.

No words left his mouth, instead, he simply placed his hand on her head and began petting it gently. "I'm back…. Sorry I worried you." He said softly while still consoling her.

.....

"There you go." Rapheal uttered as she placed the bowl of rice on the table right in front of Kim.

"AHH… thank…you." Kim replied, looking at the huge amount of food his sister had positioned in front of him on the dining table.

Once she was done placing the food in front of him, she moved to the other side and sat down, her hand under her jaw as she watched her brother, waiting for him to eat.

"I'm sure you mean well and all sis, but … isn't this a bit much?" Kim said with a nervous chuckle.

"Not at all." Raphael responded, "You were asleep for almost 6 days, you need the food so your body doesn't break down".

"I was out for six days?" He responded, his tone a bit calm as he stabbed the fries in front of him with his folk.

"Basically. Aunt and I were worried sick you know. We had to fight the Hunter hospital since they wouldn't let us take you home unless they had interrogated you first." Rapheal picked one slice of bread from the basket and began chewing it.

"Hmm?... Crazy".

"I know right? Something about eight hunters dying and you being the only one that survived."

Kim paused.

Looking at his food, the graphical scene of the girl that tried to save him immediately appeared in front of his eyes. How her bones were crushed and her tears ran down her face as she begged for help.

Kim instantly closed his eyes and puffed his cheeks. Trying to hold himself back from puking while his fingers shook just from the thought of what he saw.

"Big bro? Are you okay?".

He shook his head. "Ya-"

{Notice: You have a new message}.

The template appeared in front of him the moment he was about to answer his sister.

Cough!

Kim reached for the glass of water in front of him, grabbing it and chugging down the water as fast as he could.

"Hey! Careful, don't choke on your food, geez, you just woke up." Raphael stood up from the chair, grabbing the napkin and heading towards her brother.

While this was happening, Kim had his eyes fixed nervously on the golden template, and what was even more shocking to him, was the fact The angel was seated on the dining chair in the same room with him.

He gulped down his saliva. "Hey sis?" Kim called out.

"Hmm?" She responded.

"Can you see this weird screen in front of me?" He asked.

"What screen?" Raphael replied while she focused on cleaning the spilled food.

"Ah, so you can't see it." Kim sighed in relief before resting his back on the chair.

"What are you even talking about? Do you still need to go for a checkup? Actually no, once you're done eating, we're going for a check up." Raphael stood on her word.
