Hunting the beast, these people aren't normal

*2.days later*

"Quick! It's coming this way!!!" The urgency in the boy's voice cut through the stillness of the landscape, his traditional attire flapping in the breeze as he dashed towards the group of villagers, who wore similar clothing.

Around them, the vast expanse of rugged terrain stretched out, with mountain hills and sand dominating the view, giving the impression of a deserted wilderness.

Despite the barren surroundings, the area was teeming with life, strange creatures lurking in the shadows, providing sustenance for the villagers.

Isolated from the outside world, their village remained a sanctuary, sheltering them from the unknown, their understanding of it limited to rumors and whispers carried on the wind.

When it came to food, this was one of the ways they did it, by hunting, but not just any regular hunting, by hunting monsters that happened to escape gates.

Racing behind the boy, was a huge looking buffalo, its horns and tail blazing with flames, while its eyes glowed a red hue.

"Quick! Fire!" The boy screamed, running as fast as he could, with blue energy leaking from his body.

"Fire!" The lead hunter, buffed man dressed in the same traditional outfit, raised his hand and immediately, they all fired their burning arrows from behind him.

The arrows rained down on the beast, its roars echoing as the arrows pierced its body and dug into its flesh. But rather than going down, the beast kept charging forward.

The boy who had been trying to get away from the beast noticed this and began panicking. Not only was the beast catching up, but it also had fire leaking from its mouth, ready to shoot it at the boy.

With just a small misstep, the boy tripped, his body tumbling from how unnaturally fast he was running.

The villagers that saw this, immediately knew they needed to act or their fellow member would be a victim of the monster.

The boy opened his eyes and tried to get back up again, when he suddenly noticed, the beast was also so close to him with its fiery mouth opened, there was no way he could ever think of escaping that.

His eyes opened in fear as the fire shot out from the mouth, the heat already scorching against his face.

When out of nowhere, Ciel appeared in front of the beast, walked through the fire and grabbed it by the horns before shoving her hand into its mouth to block the fire.

Everyone watched in amazement, even the boy who was scared for his life was shocked to see what he had just witnessed.

A grin showed on Ciel's face as she looked down at the beast who was struggling to break out of Ceil's hold.

"Wooo there doggy, this is no way to treat a woman." Ciel voiced out, and the moment the monster tried to roar, she grinned even more and kicked it at the side of the head.

The beast went flying and slamming so far away, before it stood up and charged straight into the forest, towards the village and away from the hunters.

Dusting her hands, Ciel turned to the boy who was on the ground, "Are you alright kiddo?" She asked.

The boy, still shock driven, pointed towards where the beast was headed and uttered, "V-Village".

"Village?" Ciel looked over there, "Tsk! It's nothing to worry about, my master is there, he wouldn't let a wild beast walk past him… I think… most likely".

Meanwhile….

Seated on a colossal rock amidst the dense foliage of the forest, Kim maintained a serene posture, his legs crossed in a meditative stance.

Before him, suspended at stomach level, hovered the crimson tome known as the Book of Rioc—an artifact bestowed upon him by the demon lord he had vanquished.

According to the demon's cryptic words, the book contained a compendium of knowledge concerning the demon race—a treasure trove of secrets waiting to be unveiled.

Yet, to Kim's dismay, accessing its contents proved futile. Each page remained stubbornly blank, save for the perplexing inscription "[Update]" scrawled across them all.

Frustration gnawed at him as he turned to the sole page bearing any semblance of writing. But to his dismay, the characters etched upon it were foreign, a language that eluded his comprehension.

"Are you done?" Kim asked, sitting on the rock with a tiring look on his face.

{Notice: Language has not yet been created, hence I can't translate it}.

"What do you mean you can't translate it?! Urrrrgh!" Kim groaned frustratedly, his eyes suddenly picking up on something moving fast towards him.

'What is that?'.

{Notice: A buffalo approaches, threat levels are high}.

Taking a closer look at the monster, Kim voiced out before leaping down from the rock, "Isn't that the monster the old man wanted to hunt down today? Perhaps it escaped while being chased".

He stretched.

"Doesn't matter, can't let it get to the village running like that, sorry advance."

Slamming his arms together violently, the chains of Barbos appeared around his left arm, dancing like a snake while blue flames sparked with every movement.

Lowering his upper body, Kim crouched, his muscles tense with anticipation as he awaited the beast's imminent charge.

With a powerful thrust, Kim drove his foot into the ground, propelling himself forward as he unleashed his blue, blazing chains. The chains snaked through the air, wrapping around the beast's neck in a single fluid motion.

The beast, caught off guard, veered sharply to the left, its movements frantic as it sought to escape the searing heat radiating from the chains. Its pained cries filled the air as it desperately tried to flee.

But Kim's grip was firm. With a swift and forceful pull, he jerked the chains backward, causing the beast to crash heavily onto the ground, its momentum abruptly halted.

Springing into action, Kim leaped upward, the chains anchored securely to a nearby tree branch.

With steady resolve, he hoisted the beast off the ground, its struggles growing weaker with each passing moment as it gasped for air, unable to break free from Kim's unbreakable grip.

And eventually, the beast succumbed, its once-burning horns and tail extinguishing as the fire within it faded. With a final, feeble struggle, it collapsed to the ground, the chains around its neck vanishing into thin air.

As the commotion settled, the rest of the villagers emerged from the shadows, their faces etched with panic quickly giving way to astonishment as they beheld the scene before them. There, perched atop the beast's motionless head, sat Kim, his expression deadpan yet commanding.
