Chapter 7: Securing a Deal

Dean's eyes, long and narrow, squinted in scrutiny at the woman before him. A woman who, despite her apparent innocence, possessed an audacity like no other. Until now, no woman had dared to entice him in such a manner.

Dean, of course, had enjoyed the previous night, otherwise, he wouldn't have been so gracious toward Joy. Had it been anyone else who dared to climb into his bed, they would have been unceremoniously tossed out by his bodyguards.

Leaning forward, Dean captured her lips. The soft, sweet sensation is not something he usually disliked. He knew, after the events of last night, he was ready to accept this woman.

His kiss, in truth, lacked any finesse. It was even somewhat awkward. Despite Dean's debonair and elegant appearance, he was a fledgling with no experience.

Yet Joy was wholly lost in his kiss, forgetting entirely what she was supposed to be doing.

Dean released her and whispered in her ear, "If you want to get married, your skills are not yet sufficient. Go home and practice."

He stood, single-handedly fastening the dark gold button at his collar, "I'm leaving."

With that, he strode towards the door, his long legs carrying him swiftly. Joy, regaining her senses, rushed forward to cling to him, "Can I practice with you? Are we not signing the agreement? Leave me your contact information…"

Dean opened the door, where his two assistants and the urgently summoned lawyer, Mr. Zhong, stood. The two assistants respectfully began to greet him, "Mr…"

"Reed," yet the name was cut off as they were stunned by the scene before them. What was happening? Why was there a woman in Mr. Reed's room, and why was she daring to hold onto him?

He was particularly averse to women touching him, even an incidental handshake during a social event would not last more than a second.

"Apologies, I'll handle this immediately," assistant Kevin stated, advancing to remove Joy. Hastily, Joy released Dean, "No need for you to intervene, I can let go myself."

"Give her a business card," Dean uttered coldly, halting Kevin's actions.

Kevin covertly studied Dean's expression, finding the strikingly handsome face devoid of any visible displeasure beyond its usual coolness.

His gaze shifted to Joy, who was attractive enough, but surely not to the extent where she would elicit such an unusual reaction from Mr. Reed.

Swiftly, he presented a business card to Joy, "This is Mr. Reed's card."

Joy accepted the luxurious, black card with its gold embossing.

Dean cast a fleeting glance at Joy, "Seek me out when you've improved."

Joy's face twitched slightly. Was Dean implying her abilities were lacking? She had only been momentarily dazed by his kiss. She had read plenty of erotic literature!

Dean departed with his two assistants, leaving Joy to collapse onto the bed once the door was shut. It all felt surreal, like a dramatic dream.

She had truly transmigrated into a novel, slept with a gorgeous man, and now planned to captivate him and become his wife.

Even if she had the desire in her own world, she would never have had the audacity to do this.

The potential of a human is indeed infinite!

However, it was clear Dean was not entirely pleased with her (perhaps she misunderstood herself). His words seemed to suggest he desired her to be more assertive and enthusiastic. Who would have thought, a man with such a stoic appearance carried such a provocative nature?

The question was how would she captivate this seemingly reserved yet provocative man.

She wasn't very experienced in the realm of romance, having never had a serious relationship. Joy didn't have many friends in this novel either. After some thought, she decided to seek advice from the vast online community.

Picking up her phone, she posted on Reddit: "How do you captivate a reserved yet provocative man who appears stoic, is distant with others, and has high expectations of me? He says I'm not good enough and need more practice." She then browsed through the responses.

[Richkid123: Three words, shameless. If you want to deal with an inwardly provocative man, you have to be openly provocative. He won't be able to resist.]

[Beauttty: If you need to practice, use him. Isn't he quite liberated in private? Be provocative to his face!]

Quietly, Joy replied to their comments: "I'm quite shy, and we've only just met, I can't let loose. What should I do?"
