Chapter 10

The Host was still fighting with Geon who was distancing himself after being injured.

Geon states was dishevelled and embarrass that system Dangena who went to take a look at her Host state was frightened and was about to purchase some attacking equipment but stopped.

This was her Host and that guy fight.

She can't intervene.

System Dangena silently retreated leaving her Host that was feeling anxious to the sudden change of attitude his dad has.

Gabrielle did not give Geon the chance to rest when the blade of his sword expanded and was thrown with care to the side of Geon face.

Geon widened his eyes as he felt blood oozing out from the cheeks where the sword was thrown at his face.

Gabrielle shifted his feet, creating an afterimage before he disappeared and gone in front of Geon eyes.

Thump!

Geon heart loudly thumped as he also disappeared out of the blue while breathing a sigh of relief.

His dad really was resolute on killing him today.

Anger flash past Geon eyes.

Geon really did dare to think that the guy who had always tolerated himself the most causing for him to go rotten will be the one to someday, had made up his mind on killing him on the spot.

Even if Geon really knows that Gabrielle really did not mean it like this.

Geon was already blinded with hatred.

Geon bit his lower lip as he tightly clench the handle of the chain he was holding while lifting up his sky blue eyes to look over at his dad who was pointing the tip of his sword towards himself once again without rest.

It was an action that really had made Geon heart cold.

Because it only means one thing for sure to him.

This guy who spoiled him rotten to the core, was resolute on wiping him off.

But shrouded with hate and fear, with a slight tremor in Geon sky blue eyes.

Uncertainty flash past his eyes as Geon opened his lips and said,

The hoarse and mellow voice like the sound of a cello was mixed with bitter grievances and hate sounded in the quiet and tense air then transmitted through Gabrielle ears who was not far away from him,

"I just wanted to ask one last time"

Geon said, the chain that he was holding was slightly raised and tilted towards Gabrielle direction.

His sky blue eyes held despair.

Not just long ago, he was spoiled and was saved by his dad from that monster.

Now the situation somewhat reversed and now  he was in this situation where he does not know if it was between Life and dearth situation as his dad did not really clarify what is this fight for.

Geon really did not listen a while ago.

Gabrielle did it for his sake.

But the rebelliousness of a teenage boy had hit him hard that he got the feeling of turning his back to his Dad.

"Are you really resolute on doing this Dad?"

Geon finished what he was saying.

The word 'dad' that came out from his mouth did not go naturally as he said those endearing with intimate relatives calling as he called those words with gritted teeth.

Blue veins popped out instantly at Gabrielle palm after hearing that.

The hand that was holding the sword with the mildest effect of strength and power was tightly clenched that blood oozed out from it.

Gabrielle finally calmed down with the sight of the blood that ooze out from the palm that he tightly clench around the handle of the sword that he held and was pointed at his son.

As Gabrielle took the time to answer when his dark eyes slightly lowered to hide an expression where he does not want his son to see.

He finally opened his lips that was hidden behind those smiley mask and answered in the same hoarse voice but without any mixed of emotions as it was completely without any emotion.

Indifferent.

That was what Geon feel right now that his dad had given him.

As his heart felt deeply hurt and was feeling the mode of having to be betrayed by his own Dad who he had trusted the most and depended in his own entire life.

Geon simply can't accept it entirely.

"What--?"

Geon was in disbelief as he felt it was too unbelievable for himself to accept.

Is it does mean that this fight was in Life and death situation?

Geon wanted to ask more to clear things up.

He doesn't want to misunderstand.

But he can't even think straight anymore.

He was still dizzy from the fight that he had a while ago with that monster.

The confidence that he had was also reduced by a lot of points because of the fight with that monster where he was the most injured.

As the simply 'Yes' of his dad almost broke his calm sanity.

He was tormented by grief as he gritted his teeth and charged at Gabriele who inhaled and exhaled after just saying that simple word and was not on his high guard.

Because Gabrielle was not on his guard at all at that time because of the words that he said and the question that his son had asked him.

Geon managed to get a strike on himself as Gabrielle looked at himself flying in mid-air with great force, forcing him to have his back clashing to the wall at his back made of solid and hard soil.

Gabrielle coughed at the dust that got the opportunity to cling on himself.

He tightly furrowed his brows as his cleanliness was bought up to his bones once again.

Geon saw the dark light in his Dad dark eyes change slightly into a worried light as his Dad star like eyes was flickering.

Geon sky blue eyes lit up with hope but then were speechless to see the object that was very familiar to him because this object was always the one that greeted him in the past if he dared to run off and get himself dirty all over his body.

"…."

Geon was expressionless as he hated iron not being steel enough.

Too bad…

It was not him that causes his dad to change that dark light into a worried light.

This time,

Geon was really resolute.

If his dad truly wanted this fight to happen.

Then he will just choose to comply.

At least it still proves that he was filial to the guy who took him in out of 'kindness' right?

"Fine. I will do this"

Geon muttered without any emotion on his pale and thin but well-tone face,

System Dangena who was more familiar to her Host other than Gabrielle would know that her Host, Geon, had simply given up hope.

Gabrielle would also know this but because he was busy on cleaning himself with the cleaning potion with the aroma of the refreshing forest air.

Gabrielle did not see those sky blue eyes having dark tides surging within it.

Geon swayed left and right then disappeared at his spot, creating and after image and did not give gabrielle any more time to clean up the dust on himself which was almost non-existent because it was alrteady cleaned once or twuice or who knows how many tiomes,

As Geon ducked and had its head matches with the height of Dad stomach.

Then without any emotion in his sky blue eyes.

He raises the chain in his hand and was preparing to strike at Gabrielle unguarded belly as the owner was momentarily in a daze.

"Goodbye"

Was all that Geon had muttered under his breath but still can let Gabrielle hear what he said as his last word when he swept the chain he was holding hard at Gabrielle unguarded lower part.
