1 That is who you are, a deserted child!

"You should just give up Regi-boy, there is no need for struggling. It would be easy to kill you and no one would notice you are gone. That is who you are, a deserted child!" Came the words of Mr Donald, who was walking towards the little frail boy trying to escape from him but couldn't due to the wounds on his leg.

"Please." The ten years old cried but it fell on deaf ears.

"Please? You should be saying thank you. I am trying to help you and put an end to your misery. What more do you have in this world? You will only be mocked for the rest of your life for being a useless child. You have no talent; even the heavens doesn't want you." He squatted before the little boy and moved his knife on his face.

Feeling the cold metal on his skin, the young boy shivered. It was truly his end. That was how his life would end.

Born into a world of talent with no talent at all and not even a J-level citizen who has a little bit of talent to spare. He was completely useless.

Even his family hated him and abandoned him in the place called the AXIS. A place where unwanted humans are taken too. In his case, he was more than unwanted.

The AXIS is a place hated by all. A place no one wishes to be taken to. It was a place where hell is experienced on earth. A place where no one cares what becomes of anyone there. A place people are forgotten.

The people at the AXIS at least has little talents and energy, but he had none. Useless to the core.

"P-please, have mercy!" He cried as his snot rolled down his nostril.

Donald raised his face up through his chin and laughed as he drew closer. "I wish I could do anything else but this is your fate. Your organs will fetch in a lot of money for the AXIS. Just consider it a donation to the rest of the useless people here." He drew even closer until the little boy could feel his hot breath hitting his face.

Suddenly, the man's eyes turned blue and he became frozen not being able to move. He felt an inner being in him like the core of his life, being dragged out.

It was slowly leaving his body and his body glowed in bright blue color. It wasn't giving him life but his life was being taken away and he could only watch and do nothing nor say anything.

What kind of power is this?

The little boy's eyes glowed bright blue just like the glow emitting from Donald's body. Slowly, going out in the form of blue smoke, his energy was being dragged out and it went into the opened mouth of the little boy who couldn't move too.

It went on in torture and torment until the older man dropped to the ground like a log of wood. His body was pale with no blood in him. His eyes dilated, his mouth widely opened and his body squeezed as if he was locked up for years with no food and water, just that for his case, he was lifeless.

The young boy swallowed hard and slowly stood up, not taking his eyes away from the dead man. His eyes still glowed blue and all he thought about was -what just happened?

He would surely be killed. He needed to run and run forever. Wiping his tears, he ran out of the office, out of the AXIS and away from his old life.

But he was just ten, how would he survive?

...

The street of Tokyo, was busy as usual with cars driving by and people walking about with their energies smelling in the sky.

A young man from among the crowd, walked as fast as he could, obviously going after a man who had no idea he was behind him.

The young man's hand was in his pocket and he wore a hoodie jacket, using it hood to cover his head and a nose mask to cover his nose. He wasn't looking suspicious but like a homeless man trying to find a place to hide himself. The winter in Japan wasn't one to joke with.

He got closer to the man and walked in slow pace, behind him. The man was a chubby, short man, who walked proudly in the busy road and command respect. Well force respect instead.

The young man behind him reached for his pocket but before he could get hold of his wallet, the man suddenly stopped and he bumped into him.

"I apologize sir." The young man pleaded and walked away as fast as he could.

He walked to a corner and rested his back on the wall, breathing heavily. "Well that was close." He said to himself and brought out his hand from his pocket with a golden card.

He smiled broadly and pulled down his mask and hood, revealing his curly, light brown hair with few falling across his face and giving him the look.

Taking the card from the man's pocket, seemed impossible but as a professional thief, he exchanged the card with a fake without anyone noticing.

He grinned but his smile was immediately replaced with a scowl as he ran his hand through his hair. "People. I hate people."

He rolled his tongue in his mouth and nodded in satisfaction. "Time to cash out big time and then I head back home." He removed his jacket and threw it to the trash bin nearby, leaving him in just his black singlet.

"Regi-boy, there you are." A familiar man called, walking towards him. "Just as good as you are, you were able to hide so well that you thought I wouldn't see you?"

Oh great, not who he was expecting to see. Gumi, an old friend of his, well, until he scammed him.

Five other men with Gumi surrounded Reggie and each of them got ready their powers. Two destructive energies and two creation energies.

Gumi walked closer with a sly smile plastered on his face and held his shirt, "Where is my money, you thief?"

Reggie tsked and snapped his fingers. "I don't have your money with me. You found me at the wrong time and right now, I am going back to Sorixon."

Gumi scoffed, "How can you surpass us boy? Have you forgotten you are talentless?" He questioned and his body immediately glowed bright before he was covered in flames, but he wasn't burning.

Reggie could feel the heat and was immediately covered with sweat. Of course, Gumi is a Beta, an E-level citizen who has a destructive energy. An energy of fire. Reggie at that moment, knew he scammed the wrong man.

"Alright I am dead, but not without a fight." He laughed and brought out his two daggers from his back pockets. "How about a fight between a Beta and a talentless man?"

.....

E-LEVEL citizens, also called the Betas, are the fifth rank energy masters who has mastered being able to control their inner energy to their talent, thereby making their talents powerful.
