The Underworld, Part 2

12 demons surrounded me. Each of them were metres apart. I looked towards the fragments of the demon I had impaled. A purple core was glistening below the debris of the dead demon. The tusk I had impaled the demon with, was melted.

I could use a tusk to fight against a demon, but only once. I had 5 more tusks, and there were 12 demons. To get back to the portal, I would have to kill each and every demon that stood here. However, my intention was to train, not to leave. But then again, how would I fight these beings?

I continually thought on how I would deal with the situation as the demons tried to get nearer. Within a second, I devised a solution. If all demons exploded after being impaled, it would be beneficial to throw one demon towards a pack of demons to kill in a larger quantity with ease.

As soon as the thought manifested, I ran towards the closest demon. The demon started to spew out fire from its mouth, similar to a dragon. I prevented the fire from damaging me by putting the ogre's bones up in front of my face. The ogre's bones acted as a shield. As the flames touched my bony bracers, they moved away to the side.

I continued walking forward, while the ogre's bones faced the brunt of the flames. After reaching considerably close to the demon, the demon stopped breathing fire. Thankfully, the core prevented the bones from melting. The demon then proceeded to swing its large right arm towards my face to land a right hook. However, since I had closed the distance, it was easier for me to punch him.

Instead of landing the attack directly on his body, I punched his right hand with mine, to show my strength. The sharp end of the ogre's bones landed before my knuckles did, and cut through his wrist, separating his hand. Lava started gushing out of the demon's hand. Demons had lava flowing through their veins instead of blood, which is why this happened.

Before the demon could think of anything, I swung my left hand with an exorbitant force and landed a left hook on the demon's face. This punch decapitated the demon. His head was stuck to the ogre's bone. And without a moment of hesitation, I yelled, "System store the body!"

The system had an ability to store, however, this only stood true for dead beings or items. Storing a live being in the system was prohibited. By storing the body of the demon, I had avoided the explosion.

Two demons were about a metre away. As they walked towards me, I spoke,

"System release the demon's body."

As soon as the body was withdrawn, I ran away from it. The demon's that were unprepared, faced the brunt of the explosion.

I practised this for a whole ten hours and succeeded every time. Practically, I had found the perfect solution, however, for the sake of training, this wasn't enough. Eager to fight with a worthier opponent, I moved further away from the portal.

After moving over the hot landmass for another hour, I could see a castle from a distance. I sprinted forward killing the demons in my way and lost my weapon while I reached the castle gate.

The lord of the underworld was the devil and the demons, were his underlings. I had no intention to face the devil himself, however, I wished to fight one of his four loyal henchmen; Orcus, one of the four Gods of the underworld.

Orcus was a 17 feet tall God that was the last of his race, the orcs. Legend said that orcs were a race far stronger than any, across all dimensions. They were smart, strong and had built the foundation for other creatures. Rumours ran through the dimensions that they were the ones that controlled the portals and due to their death, the portals to other dimensions opened across the universe. However, the beta humans were uncertain of this rumour, since the orcs were extinct since the past 500 years. The beta humans somehow found the domain of orcs, but only returned with their skeletons.

The reason I wanted to fight with the 800 year old orc, was to test my strength as a God. As I stood in front of the gate, I sighed, preparing myself for the battle between Gods. To check my current status, I spoke, "Status open."

I realised that my stamina was low, but for the battle I had been eagerly waiting for, I could no longer control my excitement. I grinned as I pushed open the large red gate, and walked into the castle as the doors creaked. While walking inside the dark, gloomy castle, I looked through the darkness to see a figure guarding another gate present inside the castle.

1. Demons were the strongest mortals in the underworld. Below the demons, stood the parademons, and above all mortal creatures of the underworld stood the 4 Gods. The owner of the underworld, was one that was known by many names, the most common, being the devil.

2.The origin of Zaros's Godhood would be soon revealed. However, to know how the beta realm knew about the mentioned details, would take a minimum of 7 chapters to pass. If possible, I'll try to put the reason earlier.
