Chapter 7

I was still enjoying my sleep since I wasn't disturbed by nightmares when Ana burged into my room to wake me up.

"Do you want to be late on your first day at school?", she said while tapping me.

"It's not yet time to wake up Ana, I'm waiting for the alarm", I replied lazily .

"You have to get to school earlier since it's your first day and make sure to behave well", she said while trying to drag me to the bathroom.

"Come on Ana, just two minutes ", I pleaded but she was just determined to get me out of bed. She sat beside me till the two minutes was up and carried me to the bathroom like some five year old kid.

" I'd be waiting for you downstairs, don't keep me waiting", she said and left the room.

I shampooed my hair with my gel and rubbed my fingers in it lazily till I realized I was getting late. I hurriedly washed my body and went out of the bathroom. I applied my cream and dressed up. I simply wore a high waist blue jeans and cropped top and slid into my white sneakers before moving downstairs to get breakfast. I took my keys and dashed out as fast as possible. I enjoyed my new car with some music playing till I got to the mighty gate of Wenchester High. I was welcomed by the security man who looked like someone in his early 40's.

"Are you a new student?", he questioned

"Urhm…urhm….yes please", I stammered.

"Feel free to ask anything", he said with a smile

"Can … you.."

"Is everything okay with you?", he asked confused" or are you a stammer ", he continued to ask.

"Can you direct me to the principal's office?, I asked boldly.

"Just drive straight into the compound and ask anyone because I can't direct you from here.", he said"

"Okay", I said and drove inside.

Immediately I packed the car in the parking lot, a very beautiful lady approached me,

"Are you a transferred student?", she asked when I rolled down my glass.

"Yeah, can you please direct me to the principal's office?", I asked politely.

"Come with me", she said and smiled widely at me.

'Is this how friendly everyone in this school is?'I thought to myself. I came out of the car and followed her through a large hallway. We walked through different corridors till she finally stopped in front of a room with the inscription' The principal's office' on the door.

"You can go in now, good luck "

"Thanks", I said to her and she nodded before leaving.

I stood still behind the door for what seemed like eternity before deciding to knock.

"Yeah come in", I heard after the knock.

I slowly opened the door and peeped through to check if he was the principal before going inside; his picture was added to the documents so I had to verify first. I finally entered after my verification of his identity.

"I suppose you are miss Hart, right?", he asked while gesturing me to sit.

"Yes …sir", I responded.

"No need to be nervous, measures have been out in place for your safety ", he added

"Thanks sir", I replied gratefully.

"Can you please show me my class now?", I went ahead to ask him.

"Just a minute please", he said and took his phone to place a call.

After some time, there was a knock on the door and my heart skipped a beat upon hearing a mere sound of the knock.

"Yeah come in", the principal responded.

A gentleman appeared when the door and I felt like I had seen him before. I focused my gaze on him trying to find clues to why he looked so familiar while he was also listening to the principal.

"Miss Hart, please go with him", the principal finally spoke to me,

"What….what do you mean by go with him?", I asked raising a brow.

"This gentleman is the president of this school and he's also your classmate so he's take you to class", the principal answered.

I turned to look at the guy leaning on the door quietly as if he was deep in thoughts.

"Okay", I finally responded and agreed to follow." Can we …go", I walked over to him to ask but keeping my distance.
