Chapter 6

Sofia walked into her office elegantly, wearing a black leather skirt and a blue shirt. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she had applied a subtle yet elegant make-up to her face. Sofia was a young, attractive woman in her early thirties, and Dike liked her because she was dependable and hardworking. She settled into her desk chair and started browsing some of the files on her table. Suddenly, her phone began to ring and she immediately took it up.

"Oh, that's me. Any updates yet? "She inquired and scowled at the caller's reply. She put her phone down and returned to her files. After a short while, she heard the sound of a car outside and hurried to the window to look down and see who it was. She grinned to herself, "He's here." She anxiously waited for him to enter as she reclined in her chair. She smiled as she thought back to what happened last night.

She recalled receiving a call from Dike while watching her favorite TV show as she was seated on the couch in her living room. As he asked her to meet him right away, he sounded sober. Her mind was racing with panic as she stepped outdoors and forgot to change out of the mini gown she was wearing. When she finally got to Dike's house, she was shocked to see him grinning.

She looked at Mr. Dike and questioned, "Are you okay Mr. Dike?"

He smiled and said, "You look hot," but she could tell he was intoxicated since there were two empty wine bottles on the table next to him. She made a move to clear the bottles off the table and stated in a distressed voice, "Jeez, you need to quit drinking too much." While urging her to stop, he gripped her hand. Sofia blushed as he pulled her to his chest and gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. His next action really caught her off guard.

He murmured, "I can't hide it any longer.

She questioned, "What are you talking about?

He responded, "I'm in love with you Fia; I've been in love with you ever since the day you walked into my office for your interview. She sat up abruptly in shock and inquired, "You mean you also felt it? Since then, Dike, I've been in love with you "She flushed before a sharp scowl appeared on her face. Why didn't you share your feelings with me before now? she questioned.

He took her face in his hands and said, "You're my secretary Fia, and I had a feeling you wouldn't feel the same.

"Nonsense!", Sofia chuckled and brought her lips up to his, kissing him. She noticed that his lips were smooth, sweet, and had a faint alcoholic taste.

He entered her office, interrupting her thoughts. "Hey sweetheart", she murmured, standing up to give him a hug. Following a passionate kiss, he raised her and set her on her desk while holding her waist with one hand and cupping her face with the other. "My sweet Sofia, I've always dreamed of kissing you this way every morning, and now my dream has come true." Sofia said, "I love you," while blushing. A knock on the door interrupted them both. While Dike turned to leave, she stood up from the desk, smoothed her skirt, and sat down in her office chair. He winked and turned to go as the cleaner entered carrying a mop stick, saying, "See you after work."

The previous night's events came back to him as he sat in his office, and he regretted professing his feelings to her because he knew he would eventually have to kill her.

He thought to himself, "Damn, she knows too much about me, all my secrets." Sam, his security, soon entered his office and spoke quietly in his ear. He stood up from his chair and motioned for Sam to follow him out of the office.

"Henry" , I smiled as I spoke to myself while I stood in the shower with water dripping on my skin. I adored the sensation. I never had a boyfriend in college because I was always preoccupied with my studies. I also never took the time to admire guys. My neighbor Cart was one of the individuals my mom and sister tried to set me up with, but our first date ended in a quarrel because he thought I was too serious for him.

I yelled "Screw you!" and rushed out of the building.

However, I frequently found myself daydreaming about Henry, and I grinned once more as I recalled the sensation I felt when he gripped my arms and our eyes met. I sighed and said to myself, "Aaaargh!" He kidnapped me for crying out loud, I needed to quit thinking about him. I used the soap to wash myself, and after drying off and exiting the bathroom, I discovered a small wardrobe. I opened it, and inside were numerous items of clothing that were orderly arranged.

"What the!" I yelled, furious that every item of clothing I had tested showed either my thighs or my boobs. This guy was such a pervert. I debated whether to walk around naked for five minutes before deciding that a mini-black gown that was just over my thighs would be far superior to the others. After finishing getting dressed, I approached the mirror on the left side of the wall to examine my appearance. Disappointed to see that I had lost weight, I scowled. Before finally making my way to my room, I smoothed my tangled hair using a comb.

When I noticed that he wasn't inside, I sighed heavily. Assuming that he had left, I thought, "Perfect time to escape," and grinned as I moved toward the door. When I realized the door had been locked, I tried to kick and push it open, but it was too sturdy.

"Not so fast, princess," I heard him sat from behind.
