26 [Bonus chapter] Crushing his hope then and now

The world seemed to have stopped at that moment. Chunhee, for one, didn't know why but it felt wrong. It was as if he had been caught doing something bad behind Yujin's knowledge and that alone made a terrible twinge in his heart.

Using his feelings rather than his logic, Chunhee pulled away from Youngjae's grip and dropped the gift in an instant. He then went to Yujin and stood before him, eyes pleading like a small baby bird caught in a trap facing an angry hunter, "Yu-Yujin… This- This isn't what you think it is…"

Yujin's eyes remained cold and distant as he stared at Youngjae, then they swept across the entire room, slowly taking the entirety of it at the moment. His eyebrows connected quickly as soon as he found the dozens of gifts sprawled on the floor. One more look and it would've made him think he was in some charity donation center.

"Do you find this amusing?" Yujin asked Chunhee.
