1 What was that ?

We were on our lunch break and she came to me and asked me if I can be her dance partner for the ball party at your school this weekend. I ignored her but she asked me twice and it pissed me off " you already know that I'll say no to you for anything you'll ask me then why do you come and ask me every time? Don't you have any kind of shame? How embarrassing you are. Now leave me alone already " I busted on her. "I always thought you at least have some respect towards me even though you never behaved kindly or as good as others but I never thought that you hate me so much. You ignore me every time, you leave me alone in an empty dark alley, you never replied to me properly, and all this time I was so stupid to think that it's okay if you don't care even a bit about me, it's your choice but I never thought er tho you would be a person who'll disrespect me. What did I even do to you? Why do you always behave like this to me since we met?" she said all this in a sobbing and trembling voice. She ran away from the class and her friends followed her. The rest of the people in the class were looking at me as if I were the villain here and I had done something terribly wrong. I thought they were just like those people who only care about a crying girl and see a man as a criminal but even my friend saw me the same way. That was something off to me. I called him but he eye-rolled over me and he left the class too. "Fine!!! If that's what everyone wants. I don't care." he said. Then he went to the football turf and they had a game but he wasn't focused at all, he tried to talk to his friends but nobody responded to him. Eventually, he lost patience after the game he asked all of them

"what's wrong with you all and why are you ignoring me?".

"What is wrong with you Jimmy?" Arther asked.

"What?" Jimmy replied.

"Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. How can you talk to her like that Jim? How can you be so disrespectful towards her?" Arther said.

" I ignored her when she asked first, she should have understood that I'm not interested in answering her... "Exactly Jim she should have understood that you are not interested in anything that she does for you. I told her that leave you and look after someone who deserves her attention but she's weird she told me that " I know him and he's not a bad guy so it's ok if I do anything for him." she thought you are not a bad guy who will do something bad but look what you did today you insulted her in front of the whole class." Arther interrupted Jim.

"I thought you talk less and talk mean because you don't know how to use proper words while talking to someone or you just don't know how to express care or affection towards her but I was wrong, you just don't care about her you don't think how will she feel if you say something mean to her every time. You are a good friend, a kind person but whenever it comes to her you just look like something else, something bad. I feel bad for her" Arther said to Jimmy and he left the ground.

Jim was shocked and he needs to process things. "What was this? is he my best friend or her?"
