Chapter 9 – She is the one

It was past midnight, but Frank couldn't sleep after the conversation with his father. He got up and went to his study. He turned on the computer in his study room. He opened the mail and read the E mail from Marina. The conditions! He called Mark,

"So, buddy What's up?" the other end answered after few seconds. It was Mark's type. Easygoing fun character.

In contrary Frank the reserved gentleman type asked "Am I disturbing your sleep?, Sorry but I couldn't wait until the morning. Can I talk with you for few minutes?"

"I was in the middle of a hard job man!" he was almost panting. Frank understood. "Oh...," he stammered and added. "I'm so sorry!" he apologized honestly.

How did he forget that Mark returned in the afternoon after 10 days of a business tour, and of course he has missed his wife so badly. Even Mark used to be a playboy, he never slept with other women after marrying Glory. Frank wandered why, may be Mark loves Glory a lot, may be Glory could satisfy his desires, may be he was afraid of Glory's family who helped him to build up his business. Whatever the reason, Frank was happy for his friend, he has a good family life and he is out of woman troubles now.

"I'll hang up, carry on your job." Frank told and was about to hang up, "Hey, wait man, I will not answer any call , but I did coz I felt you need my help. So what made you call me in this hour?'

"ya….. Um.... I want to know about the girl you mentioned in the evening." Frank asked.

"O..... Ho...…. So you decided to marry? Ah?' Mark was teasing him.

" Why do you think that she is the one for me to marry?" Frank asked in a serious tone.

"We can't talk such an important thing over the phone, Let's meet. I'll visit you early in the morning, ask the maid to prepare breakfast for me"Mark told frank.

Frank was nervous. He couldn't sleep the whole night. The Email was bothering him.

He read the conditions again and again. Marina loved her child, that's the reason for her conditions. She wanted Aeron to have a complete family. She could marry Frank,to give a better home for Aeron, but her heart was with someone else, She loved Mark.

Frank guessed that Marina found someone to love and she wanted to start a new life with that man,and he didn't want to be the father of Aeron. Frank asked that from her directly through an Email, but she didn't reply.

Frank's eyes began to hurt as he was looking at the screen for a long time.He turned off the computer and sat on the armchair. He closed his eyes to relax.

He was awaken by the knock on his study. The servant informed the arrival of Mark. He had fallen asleep on the armchair in the study room. He walked outside the room rubbing his neck as it was hurting. He looked at the clock, it was 7.00 in the morning. The servant informed him that the elder master Carton went out for his morning walks.

He looked for Mark in the living room but he was not there. Then he followed the maid to the dining room and found Mark tasting a delicious meal prepared by the maid.

"Here you are! Haven't you slept last night?" Mark looked at Frank's tired face.

Frank signed the maid to leave.

Without answering he directly asked "From where did you find the girl? Did she agree to the conditions? How much does she want?"

"Hey hey… slow down man, what's the hurry?'

"I'm in a hurry. You know I have a dead line!, I have to marry before Christmas, I can't let my child to live in an orphanage!"

"I know Frank. Calm down. She is Anna. I saw her in my last business trip, her step father promised to make her your bride. She is good with kids."

"Did you tell her about Aeron? What is her price?"

"Price? She is not for sale!"

"I don't want any money digger to be my wife! Why did she agree then, if she doesn't want money?"

"No one will marry her as she was deceived by a popular play boy in the city, so she doesn't have any other option left. She is also framed."

Frank narrowed his eyes and looked at Mark.

"Don't worry, she is not a bad girl, she had only that affair and that b*s*td used her and threw her away. I investigated you can trust me."

"so, did she agree for the terms?"

"I didn't talk with her"

"What?"

"Ya, she is going to be your wife, not mine, you better talk yourself." Mark gave him Anna's number and started to have his breakfast.

Frank took it and went to his study. He looked at the number and rubbed his forehead with two fingers. He took his phone and dialed.
