Family Doesn’t End With Blood

Nora

Screaming. Screaming woke me up in red hot heat with a hot gooey liquid running down my face. I try to reach up and touch my face, but I find out that I can't. It feels like my skin was boiling off of my body and dropping onto the ground.

I hear screams, screeches, and guttural growling that sounds like it was getting closer and closer. I see glowing red eyes coming closer and closer.

First they start off faint then came closer and closer, faster then faster they came. Then I see the creature step into the light: an all black Anubis like creature, red eyes that seems to be glowing with a red hot intensity, fingers that looked like claws tipped with pointed fingernails sharp enough to tear the skin off of a sperm whale, and jagged teeth like a hyenas that looked strong enough to crush bone.

"Oh Scheiße!" "Oh shit!" I think to myself as I see it's black lips peel back even more to reveal bloodied gums and hear a low dangerous territorial growl. It crouches and wastes no time pouncing on me even though I was at least ten feet away.

"Es muss eine große Menge Milchsäure in den Beinen haben, um so weit springen zu können." "It must have a huge amount of lactic acid in its legs in able to jump that far." I think while it's in the air. It lands on me it's talons puncturing my skin while I scream.

I wake with a jolt and look around. I'm in an apartment. I breathe a breath of relief as I recognized Legions apartment.

I look up to see that Legion was nowhere to be seen. I think of getting up, but decide against it as I hear the door open.

"Nora I'm back." I hear Legion say. I hear him in the kitchen sitting down grocery bags. I then hear a knock at the door.

"Come in." I say as I hear the door open and heavy footsteps as Legion enters the room.

I look up and what I witness makes my gag reflex set in. I see skin peeling off Legions skull, his right eye was hanging out of its socket, a chunk of his nose was missing, his left arm was opened up exposing muscle and bone, his left eye was not his normal bright hazel but a sickly green. It was truly disgusting.

I cover my mouth and turn my head away from him.

"What?" He asks walking over to me.

"It's nothing." I say looking up at him, but this time he looks normal.

Legion

"What?" I ask her as I walk over to her. No not right now their coming to soon. I think as I get to her.

"It's nothing." She says looking up at me smiling. I smile back.

"You need to shower." I say as I bend down and pick her up.

"Is that your way to say I stink?" She asks me smirking.

"No. It's my way of telling you that you need to bathe and clean that wound." I say to her.

"Ok, Legion." Nora replies.

"Do you need help bathing?" I ask her while I walk into my bathroom.

"Not that I know of." She answers.

"I'll take that as a yes." I say as I help her undress.

That's when I hear a very high pitch whine. I immediately stop what I was doing. I cock my head to the side and listen.

Click, click, click, whine, stop, repeat. A peculiar pattern yes, but I have to check it out nevertheless. I get up, draw my Beretta, and walk out slowly as to not make to much noise. Nora almost got up when I looked at her, I held up a fist then flattened it and slowly lowering it signaling her to stay put and sit down.

As I make my way out of my room the clicking gets louder and louder as I go out further and further. It sounds like it's coming from upstairs Militas told me. (A/N: I will be referring to the military part of Legions mind as Militas from now on.) I quickly check all the rooms on the first floor then decide to head upstairs. The clicking and whining was coming from the last door on the right. Checking the rooms on the second floor while I make my way to that room.

Once I make it to the room I'm overcome by a smell that I could only describe as horrid.
