1 Impossible dream

The thunderous, collective shouts of the thousands of fans within the stadium were heard loud and clear. Many felt their ears numb from the loud volume of the cheering.

Blinding lights shined brightly, lighting up the night and sending a beautiful glow down unto the pitch below.

The shouts and cheers rose to a crescendo, as the teams began to walk out from within the tunnel. One line of players wore a white kit, the kit looked neat on the players, paired with the white socks.

Alongside them walked players in a blue and red kit, and both lines of players held the hands of small beaming children. Each child was as happy and nervous as the next.

The disbelief and amazement was evident both in their expression and their postures.

The players cast a glance at the trophy which rested upon a podium. Upon the podium rested a trophy, it's gold surface reflecting the lights from the stadium floodlights.

Determination and vigour filled each of those players eyes, each of them seemingly ready to sacrifice everything for that cup.

A voice spread throughout the stadium as the voice of the commentator was heard. It filled every corner of the stadium so that even the mice in the darkest holes heard his voice.

"Welcome to this moment, a moment amongst moments. It's a world cup final, and the most unexpected world cup final of all. Its the first for an African team, and the first for South Africa. It's not the first time for france however, in fact, it's their third world cup in a row. With millions of hearts beating for them, will Bafana Bafana beat the final peak, and fulfill the hopes and dreams of all of Africa. Here today, will Isaac Adam's, the man with the largest weight upon his shoulders, will he be able to achieve the supposed impossible like he always has? We'll have to wait and see."
