90 Very Important Friend

Enzo gave a slight dip of his head in acknowledgement and respect, but didn't bend too deeply because he still didn't know the boy's importance.

"Good morning, sir." he said in a polite tone.

"Good morning to you as well Mister Enzo, but you may drop the formalities, I don't come as a prince today but a businessman." The boy said.

It took all of Enzo's willpower to not show surprise on his face. He wasn't able to fully hold it in as his eyebrows did indeed rise a little bit, but the prince didn't seem to notice.

"Businessman?" Enzo questioned after a few seconds of silence.

"Yes, I would like to discuss business with you.

Is there anywhere more private we can go?"

"Sure, follow me."

Enzo led the prince to one of the backrooms and closed the door behind him.

This room had a desk and a few chairs in front of it, so Enzo sat behind the desk and motioned for the prince to sit in front of him.

"I apologize for not having any drinks to serve you, but I just recently opened this store and I am relatively new to all of this stuff." Enzo apologized.

There was no way for him to know just how formal and extravagant this prince's life usually is, so he felt it would be better to just preemptively apologize if he could not live up to his normal lifestyle.

"Don't worry, I know about you players, so there is no reason to fret. Also, you may have to be more formal around my brothers and sisters, but many know me as the "Merchant Prince" because of my informal nature. So, please don't feel the need to be so formal around me." The prince said.

"Ah, I just realized we didn't introduce ourselves.

I am Prince Mando, the 4th prince of the Kular kingdom."

"I am Atlas, the owner of this shop." Enzo said with a smile.

It was slightly funny at the high status the prince gave in his introduction compared to the lowly status Enzo had to give in his own.

"Haha, don't worry your status will rise quickly. Trust me." Mando said.

He then continued.

"Now, let's get right to business. I would like to help you expand your shop."

He paused as if he wanted to let Enzo think about the proposal for a minute, but Enzo already knew something like this was coming ever since the prince said he wanted to speak about business.

He would be an idiot to not know the value of his store at the current moment. It was always full of customers and he was the original creator of low grade potions, so obviously the prestige of his name would rise in the city.

"What are your proposed terms?" Enzo asked.

"I would like 30% of all profits in exchange for promotion services, management services, and more.

I will take this one shop and turn it into 30 in just this city, and hundreds all over the kingdom."

Enzo knew basic negotiation tactics so although he wanted to take the offer, he didn't let on that he did.

"Hmmm…

I like what you are offering, but I don't like the high percentage." Enzo said with a frown on his face.

A frown formed on Mando's face as well. However, before he could respond, Enzo came at him with a counter offer.

"10% of all profits and an extra 10% of profits for all sales made directly by you.

Meaning if you sell my product in bulk to, I don't know, let's say a royal, then you get 20% of that sale.

But, any product sold from the store you only get 10% of the profits."

Enzo offered.

Mando didn't answer for a whole 5 minutes, but Enzo sat quietly to allow him to think on the counter offer.

Finally, the frown left his face and a smile replaced it.

"Deal." Prince Mando said.

He held out his hand and Enzo took it and shook it.

Ding!

[You have completed Legacy of the Hunter Part 1!]

[You have received a class: Monster Hunter (Unique)]

[Would you like to accept the class? Yes/No]

Enzo ignored the messages for a little bit while he and Mando further discussed the terms of their agreement and even signed a contract.

The terms of the contract dictated that Enzo would give all of his new recipes to Mando or one of his assistants. Those recipes would then be given to alchemists employed under him and a Non-Disclosure Agreement was in the contract so that none of the recipes would leak outside of the business. The alchemists would then start creating the potions in bulk and ship them out to the store locations Mando would start up around the Kingdom.

Basically, everything was automated at this point and the only thing Enzo had to do was come up with new recipes as often as he could.

After he said goodbye to the Prince he left the store and went back to the Silverwind Inn.

He brought the message back in front of his face and selected the "Yes" option.

[Congratulations! You have gained the Unique Class: Monster Hunter!]

[+1 New Skill: Predator's Sense]

[+100 Mana]

Enzo felt a tingling sensation throughout his whole body, but other than that nothing felt too different.

Long author's note today lol...

First off, thank you to everyone who has supported this novel and all the new people we gained recently. The novel will be contracted soon, so expect the chapters to be locked after the second volume starts. Also, for all the new readers if you have any questions ask me in this chapter and I will answer them as best as I can. I wasn't able to respond to many comments over the past few weeks because I was busy but there were so many it's almost impossible for me to catch up, so just ask them again here.

I apologize for my long break from writing, I have been insanely busy and sadly I don't see that slowing down anytime soon so don't expect daily updates with 2 chapters a day anymore, but I will try my best to do at LEAST one a week.

I am a Computer Science major in college with plans to become a software engineer after college. Sadly, with this major and career choice it means I have to do a lot of things outside of school like applying for internships, teaching myself a lot of things, and creating my own projects. I also started a job recently so even more of my time is taken away from me.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the novel till now and who will hopefully continue to do so, but this will always remain a hobby for me, not a job so things like college and work will take priority.
